He sounds like he fits the criteria for a perfect leader.

I’m still voting RM regardless.

Wylted is supporting RM’s campaign by offering free starbucks gift cards for those that vote for RM! Isn’t that nice of him?

Couple of years back, there were websites for Live Debates, but now they seem to be in short supply.

Are there currently any?

He told Luke he was getting too old to keep being a Jedi, so he surrendered himself to the Force and became a ghost because his belief was that he could help Luke more that way.

The only emo Jedis were Anakin Skywalker and Kylo Ren (if he even was one.)

Obi-Wan beat Darth Vader twice.: 1. Once on Mustafar. 2. In the TV series.

Everyone has a certain way in which they argue. Like chess, some people play aggressive, while others opt for defense.

You don’t have to go into explicit detail about what tactics or strategies you use, but in general, how would you describe your debating style?

@Public-Choice
There is nothing abusive about using established, authoritative dictionary definitions.
I'm not discussing whether the accuracy of the adjective 'abusive' is applicable.

You asked for an explanation, and I told you what RM meant by it.

If you are offended by my choice in definitions, then you are offended by dictionaries, which is a silly thing to be offended by.

Your logic:
Making an observation. = Akin to me getting emotional.

What is abusive semantics?

DEFINITIONS:
All definitions shall come from Merriam Webster's Online Dictionary, available here:
TYRANNY (definition 1 of Merriam Webster): oppressive power
DEMOCRACY (definition 1 especially): rule of the majority
Rigging debates in your favor by selectively cherry-picking definitions to ensure your victory is a popular trap to bait opponents into an inevitable defeat.

@Yassine
"What do you think about his ideas?"
His ideas make him a danger.

To himself and others. Being a monarchist in today's time will get you laughed out of most places. Combine that with his views that women are harmful parasites, he has certainly spread a narrative that will make it more difficult for his followers to have a healthy interaction with women.

And the fact that he's a holocaust denier who openly praised Hitler? Oh boy, this is a perfect recipe for disaster.

He is a liability at this point and the amount of delusions this guy rambles on about makes me think he is in desperate need of psychological help. Were it not for his large fanbase, he would immediately become a social pariah. This guy's beliefs and ideas are not functional in this century or in modern society.

Noob-Sniping is heavily scrutinized, but more common than most admit.

Just to correct Supadudz and perhaps you, all the top debaters are noobsnipers lol, me included, it's a nice safety mechanism.
I agree. The dogpiling on Novice is unjustified, since these statistics are just pixels on a computer screen.

He is largely irrelevant, despite what his social media influence might make you think.

With the exception of Kanye, Donald Trump, and Destiny, the larger community of celebrities do not associate with him.

"A lot of the people who join from this will only be here for the attractive PFP's"

This site faces a problem. Since most people are not interested in debating, it follows that most people are not interested in this site.

Even if they somehow find this site, its likely they will hang around for less than a month and then leave forever.

This happens over and over. New people come here, then they lose a few debates and then they leave forever.

Other than making the site more beautiful, what can we users do?
1. Deploy algorithm-based ads to the appropriate groups.
2. Harness the Power of Social Media. (Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, Discord.)
3. Enable User Feedback and make site adjustments here and there.

Much of the gaming and anime community are deeply into debates.
There are Reddit communities and Facebook groups that are for practicing law students. I'd start there. They would love sites like this to hone their oratory skills.

Sometimes, yes. While it's an innovative idea, there are ways it can go wrong.

I've found that when self-publishing my first few books, I experienced less success because my title and cover was catching the attention of customers who mistaken it for another genre which led to bad reviews. So I decided to switch the covers and titles to make it more categorically accurate and found it was better overall for getting more committed readers who actually enjoyed my content.  I was able to establish a loyal following that way.

Likewise, building up a debate website is better if the people you're reaching out to are actually interested in debate. Any other way, the amount of creepy dms and sock puppet accounts grow, but debates still remain minimal. And it's highly likely that even if they do 1-2 debates, they will lack the commitment to keep it up and end up leaving.

If you're a famous YT'er in the debate niche with 1million subs, you'd be able to successfully leverage your social reach and make the site popular.

Attractive DP's are largely ineffective for this particular goal.

EDIT: For DebateBros, Reddit and Discord are great platforms.

The false, repressive forced correlation between being asexual or prudish and intellectual is a myth.
I agree.

But that's separate from the point I'm making. A lot of the people who join from this will only be here for the attractive PFP's.

Stealing Hooter's marketing strategy is a foolproof advertising technique if your target demographic is 50-year-old virgins and E-girls.
Very effective in increasing engagement, less so for quality debates.

That said, the DebateSphere seems to be fairly popular within gaming and anime communities. Leveraging your social reach on places like Reddit and Discord will attract the attention of people wanting to have authentic intellectual discourse.

Gentlemen, opinions on this development? Personally, I think Novice is an experienced debater but engaged in scummy and toxic tactics to get to where he is.
What "scummy" tactics?

Please elaborate.

His takes aren't original, just more brash and unfiltered.

I question why anyone is mesmerized by his thoughts. He has yet to say anything that insightful.  There is certainly validity to some statements he makes, but for the most part, he is dramatic and overhyped. The male equivalent to feminism.

However, the amount of people triggered by his inflammatory statements despite holding hypocritical beliefs says a lot.

Elliott Hulse seems to be the better choice for men looking for practical wisdom and advice.

"You might enjoy reading this ultimately unused debate setup and R1:
Thanks for the link, Barney. I will check it out later. Very fascinating stuff.

"I can do "Batman has a moral imperative to kill the Joker""
I like that prompt. It's settled then.

"Batman is what as known as hypersane and realizes he is in a comic book. Without being the archetypal villain, the comic book series would end and his universe would be destroyed"
It's not an unreasonable position to assume, but it feels like adding variables to a hypothetical where it doesn't belong. Like the debate equivalent of meta-gaming. I prefer to argue within the context of the characters being completely unaware that they are a product of fiction.

Anything Marvel, DC related. -

Character Preferences:
  • Punisher
  • Batman
  • Spiderman
  • Green Arrow
Topic Suggestions
  1. Punisher is more moral than Batman.
  2. The MCU Multi-verse crossover is a mistake.
  3. The Amazing Spiderman franchise should make a sequel.
