As it is the last stage of The Tournament and the other competitors have all went silent, they have officially dropped out of the competition.
Proceeding to the final round will be.: Bella3sp and jamgiller.

The resolution will be.:

  • (TRT) Having a national DNA database is a useful tool for scientists and law enforcement and poses no significant privacy issues for citizens.

Response time can be extended to however long both participants need.

Both participants will have 24 hours to discuss who will be Pro or Con. If a decision cannot be reached within that time, the sides will be automatically assigned.

There aren't enough active mods to address the frequent violations of rule-breaking. As it currently stands, too many individuals are getting away with abusing the CoC, The New Enforcement hasn't shown to be effective.

Since security is understaffed, we should start bringing some more onto the Task Force. Everyone of these individuals have given permission to be named in this thread, the others have chosen to not be included and remain anonymous.

With the majority disapproval of updates that took away noob-sniping and some former voters having frustration with their privileges taken away, it seems people are still voicing criticisms of my troll debates.

We have two problems.:

  1. Many people here seem to want noob-sniping.
  2. Despite there being a quantity of veteran and experienced voters, there aren't enough of them to accommodate the amount of rated debates needing votes.
So there are only two solutions to this.:

Here is the first,

My Troll debates solve this problem in two ways.:
  • They give new debaters the option to vote on debates, and such a privilege also encourages them to participate more, both in debates and voting.
  • It also gives them the qualification to take part in Rated Debates, thus making them eligible for noob-sniping.
So here, I have already successfully killed two birds with one stone using this same method repetitively for all noobs that join the site.

The Cons, however.:
  • Incompetent votes. (Subject to mod removal, so not a problem really.)
  • Vote-bombing. (They could choose to reward certain people with all the points rather than judging objectively, but mods can also discipline them as they decide. So this mitigates the risk.)

Here is the second solution.:

Enable Judicial Decision on Rated Debates. It's really THAT simple.

Forget the potentiality of debaters cheating the system to get Elo through deliberately choosing biased judges. Each debater has the ability and option to select their own judges. Even if a debate is judicial decision, allow votes to be regulated by mods anyway so they can delete if either debater is cheating.

Referring back to the 2018 incident where Logan makes a mockery of the country of Japan and filmed a dead body to put it on YouTube. He was canceled immediately after this, but within a year, he managed to become one of the most liked and respected people on the Internet.

If Logan wants to prove he actually changed as a person, he should return to Japan and try to make up for his mistakes.

Wylted wishes to retract his earlier resignation on the basis that it was a momentary setback of one of his alters temporarily assuming control and cruelly doxxing his personal & login information. I strongly urge DART to consider this option on the basis that.:

  • Wylted himself was not responsible for his actions, and thus did not consent to having his info leaked and people logging into his account to impersonate him.
  • Wylted is not the same man he used to be. He is a new person now.
If this appeal is accepted, Wylted will permanently retire the anti-semitic, transphobic, and racist schtick.
He has already started his new life as a promiscuous Slavic woman that wants to marry an American sugar daddy to collect a VISA.

There’s something hilarious about the fact that he pretends to listen to Barney and oromagi’s requests, but immediately reverts back to his hypercartoonish villain persona.
Sometimes even doubling down to test their limits. 

Then he’s back to flaming everyone in nearly every thread. Everytime I read his words, I hear someone shouting, even if he isn’t writing in all caps.

The end of June is approaching which means The Entry Stage has officially begun.

Here are the rules.:
  1. There will be Five Categories. There will be four topics listed per category. Each topic is worth a certain amount of points. The more points assigned to a topic, the harder it is. And the longer response time.
  2. To qualify for the Finals, debaters must obtain a minimum of 20 points.
  3. All debates must include parenthesis (TRT) at the beginning and you will be required to link your debate in this forum. They must also be Standard and set to Judicial Decision.
  4. Competitors in this tournament may not be judges. The standard judges are the ones mentioned above, but if you wish to go with a different choice for judges, consult with me first.
  5. Mention below which topic you’d like to choose. Only four people at a topic at a time. Opponents will therefore be randomized instead of chosen. 
  6. All topics are on-balance.
  7. All debates must be 3 or 4 rounds. Voting time is 1 week. Max character limit is 20,000.
  8. One topic at a time. No debating two topics at once.


Race & Ethnicity
  • Race-conscious admissions policies should be administered in higher education institutions to promote diversity and address historical inequalities. (20 points. Max Time - 2 weeks.)
  • Controversial historical monuments and statues that symbolize racism and oppression should be removed. (15 points. Max Time - 1 Week.)
  • Cultural appropriation is harmful and should be actively discouraged. (10 points. Max Time - 3 days.)
  • The implementation of reparations for historically marginalized racial and ethnic communities is necessary. (5 points. Max Time - 2 days.)
Religion & Politics
  • There must be a separation of religion and state in all aspects of governance. (20 points. Max Time - 2 weeks.)
  • Religious institutions should be taxed similarly to other organizations. (15 points. Max Time - 1 Week.)
  • The teaching of religious studies is necessary in public schools as part of a well-rounded education. (10 points. Max Time - 3 days.)
  • The government should oppose the use of religious exemptions in laws that infringe upon the rights of marginalized groups. (5 points. Max Time - 2 days.)

International Relations
  • There should be a global ban on the production and use of autonomous weapons systems. (20 points. Max Time - 2 weeks.)
  • Economic sanctions are an effective tool for promoting human rights and democracy in authoritarian regimes. (15 points. Max Time - 1 Week.)
  • Increased international cooperation is required to address the global climate crisis and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. (10 points. Max Time - 3 days.)
  • The government should advocate for the establishment of a supranational governing body to oversee global financial markets and regulate multinational corporations. (5 points. Max Time - 2 days.) 

Gender Studies
  • The recognition of gender-neutral pronouns and the use of inclusive language is essential in all public and private institutions. (20 points. Max Time - 2 weeks.)
  • The implementation of gender quotas in political and corporate leadership positions will achieve gender equality. (15 points. Max Time - 1 Week.)
  • There must be implementation of affirmative action policies to address gender disparities in traditionally male-dominated fields, such as STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). (10 points. Max Time - 3 days.)
  • Transgender individuals should have the right to self-identify their gender without requiring medical or legal interventions. (5 points. Max Time - 2 days.) 

Environmental Economy
  • Transitioning to a green economy is essential for long-term environmental sustainability and economic growth. (20 points. Max Time - 2 weeks.)
  • There must be implementation of a carbon pricing mechanism, such as a carbon tax or cap-and-trade system, to incentivize businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. (15 points. Max Time - 1 Week.)
  • There should be a shift towards a circular economy, where resources are recycled, reused, and waste is minimized, to promote sustainable consumption and production. (10 points. Max Time - 3 days.)
  • Governments should provide financial incentives and subsidies to promote the development and adoption of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power. (5 points. Max Time - 2 days.)

Something very important. If you win or lose a topic, it becomes off-limits and you cannot debate it again. The Finals start August 10th.

There are many complaints that DART is a former shell of itself and nothing like DDO. Calls to action have been made to return DART to its glory days by banning the following individuals: YouFound_Lxam, Kaitlyn, Best.Korea, Greyparrot, TWS1405_2, and IWantRooseveltAgain. 

The latter two are the most controversial for several reasons. TWS because of his beef with the mods and fights with the community in general, IWantRoosevelt because of his constant baiting of right-wingers/republicans/conservatives and as one of the former president’s nemeses.

Difference between the two is that TWS sometimes comes across as a triggered reactionary for the right, whereas IWantRoosevelt is just a wannabe troll for the left.
Neither of these two rise to the level of being ban-worthy.

Firstly, let go of the delusion that DART should be like DDO. That ship has long sailed. 
But that doesn’t mean it’s completely a lost cause, it’s just Damaged Goods with Wasted Potential. 
Your first mistake is in assuming that these individuals are responsible for driving away new blood and scaring away potential people. (Which is stupid because of big platforms like Twitter, Reddit, and Quora.)

Common denominator is the transparent lack of firm leadership, vision, and purpose. 
The actual reality is few people know that DART even exists. 
Mike could very easily turn this around if he actively led his community instead of letting his community make the choices. Wylted could have very easily been the man for the job and he’s right that DART is a shithole, but he assumed the title of responsibility for fixing it and he gave up. So that failure is partly his too. 

Bootlicker could be what’s needed for the site to change, but I’ve seen no convincing evidence that he is even capable of such, aside from his perpetual ranting and raving. He should return to lurking in the shadows where he’s the most useful.
Instead of confusing the position of President to think he has anything remotely insightful to say. 

But I want to touch on something more important about the current state of DART where there is a clear, simple solution.

We have one side demanding Absolute Freedom of Speech and the other demanding Total Censorship. 
The solution to this problem is to separate the two by allowing certain categories to have more unregulated discussion and then to enforce more rules in other categories about what kind of subjects/topics are taboo, so people have a place of acceptance.

Instead of allowing such dialogue to cross interfere in one channel. Let the white nationalists/binary people have their channel outlets to freely criticize anything they want, (nobody has to visit their category, engage them or read their posts if they don’t want to.), and then let the leftists/progressives have their channel to have civil discussion so they have a medium for acceptance. There’s no reason both sides cannot co-exist, regardless of the hatred between the two. That is if only, the mutual goal is to move DART forward.

Here are our current leaders who have done a great job for DART.
  • whiteflame. Whiteflame has done many great things that people don't really appreciate. He is a consistent voter on debates and has competently enforced the rules without needing to publicly shame or scrutinize people. He is active in Tournaments and has encouraged innovation through fascinating topics. You can't really deny whiteflame is probably one of the least biased people on the site. Whiteflame is what your ideal mod is like. Definitely one of the most interesting and least boring people on the site.
  • Barney. Barney was actually the first person that actually got me interested in debating in the first place, and he's regularly provided feedback or criticism. Another thing is Barney was who actually taught me how debates should be structured.
  • oromagi. I'm actually a fan of oromagi's brash criticism and strong beliefs. His contributions to the site have mainly been through his insightful commentary and debates. I think the current state of DART would grow even more dull and tedious, if it weren't for people like oromagi challenging people's opinions and holding them accountable. It was oromagi who made me want to be better at debating.
People seem to forget that the mods are unpaid volunteers who participate in the site because they actually care about the community. I think this goes overlooked way too often. If it weren't for either of these three, DART would be fucked.

I, Sir.Lancelot, am hosting the 2023 Round Table Tournament.
It is my pleasure to be collaborating with whiteflame on this. 
As most tournaments will sometimes grow inactive because of people’s IRL schedule conflicting with their participation on the site or hosts becoming inactive. None of these will be a problem.

I am completely determined to see this tournament through to the finish. And I want the topics to be interesting and for the tournament to accommodate everyone’s schedule and availability. If availability is a problem, please disclose and me & whiteflame will work around this.

The Round Table tournament will be a system that gives a chance to test who the site’s best debaters are. The Round Table will be divided in two separate stages.

  1. The Entry
  2. The Finals
  • Within the Entry Stage, debaters will have the opportunity to accumulate as many points as they can. 
  • Those who meet the bare minimum amount of points will qualify for The Finals and from there, it will be strictly elimination. The last participant who remains will be nominated for the HoF. 

Default categories for this debate will be Politics, Science, History, Religion, Sociology, Fiction, Pop Culture. (Possibly more.) But where this tournament differs from the rest is that topics/subjects will be personalized to match each competitors’ strengths in order to ensure they are operating under the best circumstances possible. (Like an algorithm.)

If pitted against an opponent where both are out of their depth, the topic/subject will be altered to meet in the middle. 

The listed topics for The Entry will be assigned a certain amount of points, with the easiest topics being assigned the least and the hardest topics, the highest points.
But there’s a catch.: Once you debate a topic whether you win or lose, it is off-limits to you for the next debate.

Entry Stage may last anywhere from a month, with possible extension if required.

The tournament specifically tests on four things: Versatility, Knowledge, Persuasiveness, and Research Ability.

So as current rumors are surfacing about Walmart, here is the conjecture so far.: 

While stores are now being shut down, several Walmart locations are now putting strict regulations in place for tighter security. 

Said security will have cameras using facial recognition to highlight suspected thieves and detect items that were unpurchased. 

The measures even include an employee shutting down a self-checkout device at anytime if they suspect a potential theft, forcing the customer to seek help. 

In which case, a cashier will be more than happy to assist and reboot the machine, under the guise that it was a bug in the system. When in reality, it’s very deliberate. 


There was another video I saw talking about this, but the claims being pushed were slightly darker.

  1. Barney - If you read through any of the debates, particularly the Progressive ones, they provide a lot of insight for how to dismantle one-sided resolutions. Through his Debate Manual Guide and the Kritik doc, Barney ultimately defined the criteria for what a debate is. Without these standards, a lot of debates might be a clusterfuck of text without the proper styling or format. 
  2. whiteflame - Whiteflame’s help with Tournaments and voting, as well as moderating impartially despite not being paid makes him one of the top contributors, right up there with Barney. 
  3. PREZ-Hilton - Despite joking about letting the site burn, Wylted’s actually been very consistent with staying active, providing site updates, and respecting the system of Democracy. (Encouraging people to vote between the Old CoC and the new one.)
