@Lunatic
Yes, they are my words. However, confirming town goes hand in hand with POE. Again, I'm not saying it's a good reason. I'm just saying it's a reason that might make Pie think it's a good idea if he didn't put much thought into it.

@Lunatic
It wouldn't accomplish POE, because confirming he is lynch proof doesn't confirm him as town. Also pie said nothing about that when claiming, that is an argument you have made for him.
"I’m Deathproof
I can’t be killed in the night nor in the day by lynching. I urge everyone to LYNCH me today so that I may be confirmed in my assessment." Pie, from Post 35.
Whether it would actually accomplish POE is irrelevant as to whether he thought it would.

@Mikal
I'm okay with lynching luna actually
I'm not. Yes, it's possible the riddle was planted, but I really don't think it's likely. Theoretically, scum could have a role that puts words in the mod's mouth, but I don't see a mod doing that. Of course, I didn't see the mod using riddles at all, so there's that.

@Lunatic
What pro town reason is there to claim lynchproof?
POE. On the surface, it seems like an easy way to confirm a townie. Obviously, that's not quite what happened. However, if Pie didn't put a lot of thought in it, it could have seemed like a good idea.

@Mikal
Bro I've seen roles that mafia get where they can confirm themselves constantly. Like re writing flips and stuffIt would not surprise me in the slightest if mafia have a roll that allows them to post the first riddle
I really am inexperienced, or maybe DART just uses too many boring roles.

@Mikal
I want to look at this later but I think luna can be scum.
I don't know about that. According to the riddle, he's town. While it's technically possible that the riddle comes from some scum role, that seems insanely OP for the mafia team to be able to get the mod to give town incorrect information.
Created:

Of course, we could just ask him if he's 1x or not. On the other hand, do we want scum to know the answer to that?

@Mikal
If we are wrong and he's town , we basically have ****ed the game.
Not really. See my math above. After lynching him twice, we'd be at MYLO at worst, unless he's a jester.
The more I think about it , the more I think he's just dumb
Completely possible.

@Lunatic
Pie is either jester or some scum type of role. But if he's claiming lynch proof then he also doesn't have an incentive to full claim. We can just lynch him twice. You are right, there isn't a pro-town reason for him to claim lynch proof, and testing his role won't confirm him. He is very likely scum, or judas/saulas if not jester. We need to lynch him twice.
He is way too eager to be lynched. If we just lynch him once, then we'll be wondering if he's a judas or something for the rest of the game. I'm not 100% yet, but lynching him twice might be the right move. Of course, it does have the downside that, if he is town, we'll have wasted two DPs. Still, if he really is 1x lynchproof, that will only bring us down to 8 players, so 5v3 or 6v2, or even 7v1 if he's scum. So using two lynches on him might not hurt us that much, especially if we get useful results along the way.

@Mikal
To clarify , for mafia to kill him (if he's town) they would have to actively choose to waste a nk. One to break his deathproof. Would be a lot easier to force a mislynchI'm assuming dp is some 1x roll. It's fucking retard mode if that is perma.
That makes way more sense than what I was thinking.
Created:

@Mikal
1) yes , multiple times
Ok. I guess I just haven't played enough games to see one yet.
2) if he's town , mafia will not kill him. They will force a mislynch
I think I understand what you're getting at here.
Created:

@Mikal
Him not dying does not confirm him. Scum can easily be lynch proof. If he is scum that's likely he's role. A scum would not claim that without being willing to be tested.
I suppose that's true. Have you ever seen a lynchproof scum before?
If he is town then we waste a way to force mafia to kill how we want
How so?
Created:

@Mikal
I just can't solidify my read on our as stupid or scum.Not sure what to do tbh
Wouldn't lynching him be the right move in either case? If he's scum, we got him (unless there's lynchproof scum, which I've never seen before). If he's town, he's confirmed.

Created:

@LikeMagic
Since there are likely anti-town roles and I suspect that a riddle theme game will have some trickery and shenanigans, I think everyone should respond by the end of the DP with who they would target in the NP if they had a role.
I don't like this idea. Then scum can just target someone that no one else is targeting and know that they'll get away with it.

@Lunatic
I am not accusing you of rule breaking, just saying following that logic harms the integrity of the game. It's the same thing we always talk about when this logic is used in live mafia games. Just because it is allowed, doesn't mean it's right to pursue it lol. That and the bigger issue is I have no way of knowing if this conversation actually happened. If you were scum you would have incentive to lie about this, and when magic mislynched pass it off as mis-understanding the mod. It's a slippery slope I don't want to play on
+1. I'm not a fan of outside the game analysis. Even if it's valid, it seems to violate the spirit of the game.

Told to re mark ballots with "yesterdays date" [ 3rd] "and send them through the express system for wherever they needed to go"
It's a video about some guy claiming to be a postal worker who claims that he was instructed to change the date on ballots. No evidence was provided that this guy is who he claims to be or that he actually received such instructions. To quote the Sky News reporter in the video, "We have been unable to independently verify this." Whatever is proposed without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

@Stephen
These are from the same guy who posted the video that deliberately misrepresented what the Arizona election officer said. That is a highly unreliable source. Furthermore, in order to demonstrate that the election was stolen, there would need to be evidence of two things:
1. That illegitimate votes were counted.
2. That there were enough of them to impact the result.
The photo and the video would require independent verification in order to be remotely credible. Even if they are accurate, that would only prove that a handful of dead people were on the registration rolls. It wouldn't prove that there were votes cast in their names, nor would it prove that there were enough to impact the outcome.

@Stephen
Listen to what the officer said again. She said that using a sharpie "did matter" in the past tense. Previously, the ink bleeding through to the other side of the ballot could impact how the machines counted the vote. This is similar to how students are instructed not to make stray marks on standardized tests because it could affect how the machine grades the test. However, Arizona solved the problem with a new ballot design that inhibits bleed-through and by offsetting the ovals on the different sides of the ballot. Thus, bleed-through is no longer an issue, and sharpies are now an approved method of marking a ballot in Arizona. The people in the video are being dishonest by misrepresenting the officer's statements as being in the present tense when they were very clearly in the past tense.

Is it correct that ballots for people born in of 1900 and are well over100 years of age have been submitted, counted and allowed?
I haven't heard of anything like that.

The obvious solution if we want more time, of course, is to hammer him near the end of the DP's time limit.
I think that's what we should do. We're still waiting on Mikal. It's probably pointless pinging him any further, though.

The title's over the top, but well said. In a sane society, Donald Trump's inability to admit defeat should be absolutely unacceptable. If there was clear proof of fraud that was significant enough to affect the results, that would be different, but there isn't. Instead, he is throwing out baseless accusations because he refuses to accept a legitimate defeat. He hasn't even technically lost yet, and he's already resorting to wild-eyed conspiracy theories that he knows his hardcore fans will unthinkingly believe. Rather than commit to a peaceful transfer of power, he is choosing to further divide the country and undermine people's faith in our democracy. I don't think he will resort to violence and expect that it will ultimately prove to be hot air, but he could do a lot of damage. I don't look forward to a Biden presidency, but I am looking forward to the end of Trump's.

At this point, PA only matters if Trump makes a comeback in NV. Right now, I'd say there's an 85+% chance of a Biden presidency.

Many thanks to Nebraska for it's funky EV allocation giving Biden 1 dinky vote lol.
On the other hand, Maine gave a vote to Trump. Still, a vote is a vote. The ironic part was that Trump ran behind Ben Sasse in Nebraska, despite the fact that Sasse repeatedly criticized Trump. Had he done as well as Sasse, he might have won that vote.

@Danielle
To be honest I expected a more egregious lie than that.
Smearing a man for no reason is pretty egregious. Of course, it does pale a bit in comparison to Trump deliberately downplaying covid.
That takes some character.
Or just public pressure and the threat of electoral harm if he doesn't apologize. That being said, apologizing is better than not apologizing. At the same time, not doing anything requiring an apology is better still.
I just completely disagree on the plagiarism thing. I get why it's bad "in theory" but I just couldn't care less about it since Biden likely had no idea who wrote what.
He plagiarized to the point where he was passing off someone else's life stories as his own. It was blatantly dishonest.
And the handsy thing is creepy and gross and I'm confident with more of the #MeToo culture this prevalence will go away.
I hope so.
Tulsi Gabbard seems like she could genuinely be one of those reptilian politicians the Illuminati is always going on about lol. She gives me the heebie jeebies.
I've never listened to her speak, so I wouldn't know. Personality isn't the same thing as character, though. A lizard with integrity is preferable to a man without integrity.
Well, that last sentence was weird, especially since I'm the guy who's used a lizard as his pfp on Discord since making a joke about being an Illuminati reptile in DARTvivor S2.
I liked Andrew Yang's character (and ideas).
I don't know about his ideas, but I'll agree with you about his character, at least from what I know about him.
Joe Biden's environmental plan is not going to come to fruition.
I know, but voting for someone because their worst ideas probably won't pass is a rather unappealing idea.
Which part of his gun control advocacy do you disagree with?
Biden supports banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and I don't.
(I'm very pro-gun myself.)
Really? I wouldn't have guessed that. Reminder #1307: Never try to guess someone's political positions using a political stereotype.
It's interesting that conservatives feel federal funds shouldn't be allowed to pay for abortions because they "don't believe in abortion,"
More like because we think the unborn is a person, so abortion is murder. You probably disagree, but there's more there than just "not believing in abortion." Also, even presuming abortion is a right, why should the government pay for it? It doesn't pay people to buy guns or print news or assemble freely.
yet argue that religious foster and adoption agencies should be able to discriminate against gays even though gay people's taxes are sent to those organizations.
That goes both ways. Why should gay people be forced to fund those organizations? Why should the religious organizations be forced to violate their beliefs? There is a conflict of rights there. I don't know what the solution is.
we'll get to court packing later
I don't think I said court-packing, although I did mention originalism vs. living constitution. I'm not sure whether Biden favors court packing or not. I suspect that he himself doesn't, and I don't think it's going to happen. I don't like that he refused to say his position on it, but I'm not too worried about it because of how the Senate election turned out.
Created:

@Danielle
Well, we're probably going to disagree on most things policy-wise, but whatever. I don't think ending the tax cuts is a good idea. Biden's environmental plan isn't the same as the Green New Deal, but it's still insanely expensive. Biden is in favor of more gun control, and I'm not. Biden would be more likely to nominate justices who treat the Constitution as a living document, whereas I prefer judges who use an originalist interpretation. Biden wants to repeal the Hyde amendment, which I strongly support. As I said, you'll probably disagree with most or all of these, but those are some of the policies Biden supports that I don't.
