@Speedrace
I think a refusal to do that would amount to lynch material
A refusal to do what?

@Zaradi
You weren't really who I asked, but since you replied, elaborate.
We don't know what kind of 3rd-party is out there, so it could be of some benefit to a 3rd-party. For instance, he could be a jester (fool? whatever that role is) trying to get lynched.
1. WIFOM2. We were talking about people who claimed late would look suspicious inherently. I'd claim early too.

Quite possible. He could also be 3rd-party. His logic, or lack thereof, is bizarre.

There’s a method to analyze claims and differentiate the genuine ones from the fake ones
And what you're proposing is not it.

So much for popcorning. Now either ILikePie or myself will get to claim last. Oh joy.

Your plan is insane. "If it seems off?" We are in a game where the roles were randomly chosen. Most of them will "seem off."

You gotta love how the right defends slavery. LOL
He is saying the exact opposite by pointing out that it is economically backwards. He said earlier that slavery slowed down the South's economic growth. He is attacking slavery, not defending it.

LAST PERSON TO CLAIM GETS VTL’D
That's incredibly anti-town. We would just end up vtl'ing someone who didn't get online to see that we had this insane plan to vtl the last person to claim.

Not if we strangle them with Time Constraints
If everyone claims now, there will be no way to strangle them with time constraints because everyone would have already claimed.

EVERYBODY CLAIM NOW
No, popcorn it. Don't give the mafia the chance to choose to claim last.
Created:

@PressF4Respect
I prefer this
It helps the mafia know what to fake claim.
Created:
Posted in:

@ILikePie5
You can’t town confirm that way lol
Not by merely knowing the roles, no. However, if we have investigative roles, we can test claims, thereby confirming people are telling the truth.
Created:

@PressF4Respect
Popcorning is stupid
No, it makes it harder for the mafia to fake claim because they don't get to choose to claim last. Claiming early ruins that.

@ILikePie5
You’re gambling which is debatably a good idea. Personally I’m anti-gambling, whether it be bets over who wins matches or something else.
I'm opposed to gambling money as well. However, I am very aware of the value of gambling in a game. It works very well in pitch, but not so well in chess.

@ILikePie5
but if it doesn’t happen then e’re back at square one with mafia knowing all the roles
Except that we know all the roles and have a high chance of town-confirming people.
Created:

@PressF4Respect
You were supposed to wait for it to be your turn with the popcorn! Blabbing out your role early ruins the point.

I love the popcorn idea, so I'm popcorning Zaradi
I guess that ends the debate, since a majority is for the mass claim. For better or worse, here we go.
Created:

@ILikePie5
Not necessarily
No, not necessarily, but it is likely.
He’d have the time to fake claim just like at the end.
Time isn't the question. The question is whether or not the scum can be CC'ed.
Either way the last person would be FOS
Sort of, but it would be a different dynamic because they weren't last deliberately.
Created:

@ILikePie5
You’re not factoring that even if scum is chosen I’m the middle that their fake claim saves their ***.
a mass claim will make POE much easier. It could make it possible to town confirm players. If the scum claims in the middle of the popcorn, it could get him lynched.
Created:

@ILikePie5
The last person still would be FOS.
Agreed, but a mass claim will make POE much easier. It could make it possible to town confirm players. If the scum claims in the middle of the popcorn, it could get him lynched.
Created:

@ILikePie5
@Zaradi
Popcorning makes that a lot more difficult for the scum to do, though. The odds that they would be picked last are only 1/6.
Created:
Posted in:

@Lunatic
I can think of a couple reasons not to.
1. If Speedrace is right that the roles are random, then there could be roles that, if revealed, would be to the detriment of the town because the mafia would gain too much info.
2. Again, if he's right, it would be easy for the mafia to claim some obscure role and get away with it.
Overall, though, I like the idea. Even if we can't find the scum directly, we should be able to town confirm other roles. I vote yes, especially to the popcorn idea. That's a great idea.
Created:

@ILikePie5
My instinct is to agree with you that the mafia wouldn't deliberately waive a chance to NK. However, if they did NK, that means someone protected someone else but isn't saying who, which makes no sense. The other option is a roleblocker, but that would still be town concealing info for no reason. I do see two ways out of the conundrum.
1. The mafia wasn't online during the NP and didn't notice it was a night start.
2. Their target was bulletproof.
However, I would not trust a bulletproof claim that much because it's too convenient for the mafia. On the flip side, I wouldn't reject it either.

Whoops. Next time I cite an article citing another source, I'll check the original source to make sure it's available.I have to pay to read the entire thing
If your feelings out of touch with society people like Trump, Bernie can revolutionize you into doing something about it.
I doubt Bernie would lead a revolution, but I see your point.
Don't think that is true. Eventually with enough time people sitting watching TV will eventually find something to motivate them.
Possible. I'm not saying a revolution couldn't happen. It's just highly unlikely.
Minority from a majority white country is still a lot of people.
Depends what you mean by a lot. While it's far higher than you and I would like, it's just a tiny fraction of the U.S. population.
Steve king comes to mind. Link: " but after a January 2019 interview in which he questioned the negative connotations of the terms "white nationalist" and "white supremacy",[13] he was widely condemned by both parties, the media and public figures, and the Republican Steering Committee removed him from all House committee assignments.[14]"
That's an excellent example.
I am sure there was other people backing Fuentes who weren't rejected on the right given I think they used free speech as a defense. Mainly right wing media.
Such as?

I read the set-up. Apparently, we are allowed to make wills in the NPs, which are messages the mod will reveal if we die. That could be useful. I recommend that everyone do that next NP.
I wouldn't be opposed to a no lynch either, unless someone slips.

To say they are citing statistics wouldn't be correct. If they did the only link they need is to the OECD.
Well, if you don't trust the Daily Caller, you can always look up the OECD report yourself. CBS news is pretty reliable too.
He didn't cite a single source because it was an opinion so he didn't need to do it.
Actually, he did in the first sentence of the third paragraph.
It would be also the ability to revolutionize. That is key given Kim is a dictator yet no one can oppose him. I think oppression can be occurring but income inequality I think would be the main reason for a revolt. What if there was a dictatorship that allowed you to keep guns and income not that unequal while also having their basic needs met. I don't think people are going to revolt because it is a dictatorship.
The ability to revolutionize is important, and North Korea is a good example of a place where the motive exists but the ability doesn't. I just don't see how income inequality could cause a revolt in the US without some other extenuating circumstance. Even though people may rant and vote against the 1%, it's hard to motivate people to get off their couches and away from their televisions to revolt over Jeff Bezos being too rich when they actually have couches and televisions in the first place.
I am guessing the "white replacement".
Possible, but I think that's more of a highly vocal minority than a serious threat - so far. That could change.
This is going to take a long time to happen but given the more people like Nick Fuentes are popular the more likely it could turn revolutionary.
That sort of thing is very troubling. However, there has been plenty of pushback on the right against people like him.
Here's one example of a prominent conservative organization firing a member for backing Fuentes. The backlash from many different conservatives against her for supporting him is rather telling. The alt-right is the "alternative" right for a reason: they are rejected completely by the mainstream right.
Even if someone is opposed to something, doesn't mean they won't use it to get their intent goal then ditch what they oppose or use it to make themselves secure.
True.

No-0ne other than an absolute liar is discussing the first Iraq battle of Kuwait
Blatantly false. I was always talking about the first Iraq war in Kuwait. Here is proof:
I support the Afghan war because our soldiers were saving Afghan lives from the Taliban. I support the first Iraq War because we saved Kuwaiti lives from the Iraqis. I don't know enough about the second Iraq war to have an opinion on it.
I said that I supported the war to save Kuwait, but not the second war with Iraq because I don't know enough about it to have an opinion on it.
You wingnuts can only lie.
What's a wingnut, and how is that in any way an insult?
151,000 violent deaths as of June 2006 (per the Iraq Family Health Survey) to over a million (per the 2007 Opinion Research
That's the casualties for the second Iraq war, which I explicitly said that I don't know enough about to have an opinion on it. This is totally irrelevant.
The wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan have taken a tremendous human toll on those countries. As of November 2018, at least 244,000 civilians in these three countries have died violent deaths as a result of the wars. Civilian deaths have also resulted from the US military operations in Yemen, Syria, Somalia and other countries in the U.S. war on terrorism
That's the total number of civilian deaths in four wars, only two of which I actually support. Of the two I support, this is the actual amount of civilian deaths.
In the first Iraq War, only 4000 civilians were killed with 600 missing. And that's the total, not the ones killed by Americans.In the Afghanistan war, only 31000 civilians were killed. Again, this is the total, not the amount killed by the US.
How many innocent lives does it take before you defend them, hypocrite
That's easy. If even one innocent person dies, and there's something I can do about it, I will defend them. However, there are evil people in the world who are willing to kill the innocent. They don't separate themselves from the innocent and sometimes use the innocent as shields. Because of this, the only way to stop them from continuing to kill the innocent is to kill them. Because they don't separate themselves from the innocent, this does require killing innocent people. However, so long as the war against the evil people saves more innocent lives than it kills, it is worth it. The First Iraq war when we saved Kuwait and the Afghanistan war against the Taliban were two such wars. There is no hypocrisy here.
You don't defend the innocent
Oh, but I do. That's why I oppose abortion and support wars like the First Iraq War and the Afghanistan War.
you defend the right of men to rule
No, I don't. I have debunked this absurd accusation several times.
Do the majority of women believe that they don't have the right to bodily autonomy?No.
I have another question for you.
If pro-life women don't oppose women's bodily autonomy, then how is it not inconsistent for you to say that pro-life men do? Why does the logic of the situation change simply because the people in question have different chromosomes?
