@Lunatic
I didn't know what SOP meant in my first game, either. Heck, even in the last game, I had to explain the term to Mharman. You saw that, right? The one thing I can agree with you on is Skipper mentioning PMs. I feel like it should be pretty common sense that you can't just PM other players, and that does make me want to suspect Skipper. Behaviorally, I've gone back and forth on him, but right now I'm back to a town read. Are you american? I just feel like SOP is a very common one for americans, or at least I have seen that term used in almost every job I have ever worked, so for me that one seems a bit obvious. If people are saying they aren't familiar with it, I can't really argue that, just that it seems weird to me that it's one people aren't used to is all.
I have also heard SOP used as "Statement of Purpose" which means the Mission Statement. I didn't think that's what it meant for this game, so I wanted to make sure

I know Skipper already looks better than every noob I’ve ever seen and is probably capable of telling guys all we want to hear...
Is that a compliment? Haha. I'm doing better for my first time than I thought somehow. By "doing better" I mean playing the game in general

I'd still like to hear your thoughts on Cerulean, if you have any. Do you understand what Mharman is saying about him?
I think for the most part, I can't comprehend it. I lack understanding of certain terminology like "parroting" and "OMGUSing." I'm not very smart; I have to work hard to think smart. I feel like what Mharman says about Cerulean I can agree with, but I don't really know how to articulate that. My opinion is just intuition or emotionally-based

Also, Skipper, I since it looks like you're back online, I want to hear your thoughts on post #88 as well. What do you think?
I mean, in hindsight, it's sensible for you to jump on what I said initially in post #75. The way I presented myself there wasn't very thoughtful, and the way I defended myself afterwards was not good.
Mharman saying I was being vague and calling others out for being vague makes sense. All I've done is make myself look more suspicious or ultra noobish

@Mharman
Thoughts on what I said? About you and Cerulean.
I don't really have any, I'm just making noob mistakes. I have points that are fruitless. I'm not doing a good job, but I am enjoying the game.
I probably won't say anything else tonight

I think me being so immediately open about my role is no longer a helpful tacticYou weren't really open about it at all. Literally the only thing I know about your role is that you are a boss, like everyone else apparently, and have a role which is helpful to the town. Cool.
Oops, I hadn't meant to say "role." I meant side/team.
I agree it is reasonable to suspect me.Great, glad we had this conversation. But then, what was the point of bringing up that players that disagree may be mafia? Earlier, you said:I only say this because those who have voiced otherwise may be mafia since they can tell I am not one of them, but they want us all to think I am mafia so we're tricked. But now you're saying that it's actually reasonable to suspect you. So, what message exactly are you trying to convey? What point are you trying to make?
I was hasty in thinking that what I said would be convincing in some way. I realize now I am a reasonable suspect

You haven't confirmed anything, though. All you've done is just reiterate that Wylted townreads you. Okay. If you're really a townie though, your primary concern shouldn't be being potentially scumread by other players, especially at this early point in the game. It should be trying to scumhunt and read other players. Being overly concerned about being lynched is a scumtell.
I've also pointed out that there may be mafia members who are trying to keep ambiguity around me being a townie or not by implying they're not sure. It's less about me being lynched and more about my team wasting time

@Casey_Risk
Buddy, you don't need to defend yourself so aggressively. No one's pointing their finger of suspicion at you yet. Except for me just now, because I find this sudden aggressiveness to be odd.
I don't think it was aggressive how I said it. I'm trying to confirm things so people don't get distracted by what I say, so it instead is helpful to the town side

Here's the breakdown of the claims and softclaims so far. That makes 5 people who have claimed to be from the first game (Tubba Blubba and General Guy are both from that game).1. Mhar2. Lunatic3. Pie4. Casey - Tubba Blubba - Hated5. Wylted - General Guy - ???6. WF - Paper Mario (2000)7. Barney8. Skipper - Paper Mario (2000)9. Cerulean - Paper Mario (2000)I don't think it makes sense to hold this in reserve, so I'll note what may or may not be obvious: both Tubba Blubba and General Guy are bosses in this game. I can confirm that my character is also a boss. I'm actually buying the Hated claim more at this point, since it seems to place the fact that Tubba Blubba is a pushover as the reason for him to be hated among villains.
My character is a boss as well

Yes, I read the forum mafia guide and the google docs mafia roles list to understand what I need to. After reading about what I can do in the game, I think I have an important role to play.
I have questions about the game, but I don't what to ask them in a way that reveals who I am.
I'll start off with some basic ones though.

With the example of basic math, we use it all of the time. We use it a lot when handling money. We add and subtract items throughout the day. I would also say history is important.
Though I would agree that students are not remembering because they don't see the importance of most of the knowledge they are being taught, I would also say it is partly because of the way the information is being distributed. Classrooms are not engaging places especially if one looks at the older grades, and, because there are a lot of things we are required to learn in school that we don't care about, this creates a culture of being uninterested in the pursuit of education itself which further degrades the ability of retention

I think there are some classes that still hold relevance and importance like basic mathematics, basic science, and history. But the question is how much content from these subjects should be taught before they become unnecessary for the large part?

I am sorry you experienced such an unnecessarily angry response from Christians, and I do not mean that in the sense that I apologize on behalf of those people because that doesn't really mean anything to anyone, but I have empathy for your circumstance. Those Christians did not accurately express the love from which God commands us to operate. Revealing disbelief in the Christian doctrine is seen as rejection of what is sacred which can be a big deal to fervent religious people of the Church (by fervent religious people I mean those who are very invested in their practice of the religion, or at least those who would say they are).
Your conviction of belief stirred them to be hasty and not very thoughtful in their judgements of how to act. It's sad to see they only saw you as an idea to crush and not as a human to understand. They failed as good representations of what a Christian should be by engaging in harsh ostracization of your willingness to show what you believe and by connection, you as well. They were wrong to condemn you by saying, "Well now you're going to go to hell" because they are not meant to condemn anyone, and that is not up to them.
I hope my words find you well. As a Christian myself, should I be put in a similar situation but on the opposite end, I will do well to remember not to treat the person the way you were treated and to not make them feel the way you were made to feel

I wish I was taught how to think logically in school. At least in college, I took a philosophy class that was all about Logic and Critical Thinking--the actual name of the class--and it was one of the most beneficial classes to me I believe. It taught me formulas for how to think of premises, conditions, contentions, and other factors of debate and logical reasoning. I think more rationally from what I learned, and I am smarter from it.
Honestly, I don't believe I'm a very smart person. I do think I have an unbridled amount of creativity and imagination that allows me to come up with unique ways in my mind to understand how to learn how to be smart. When I was younger, I had trouble with understanding reality because I would lean back on my reasoning that came from the imagination part of my mind, and I wouldn't realize it. My presuppositions of people would be very off, and I would be totally surprised by it. I also think dark thoughts sometimes, but I choose not to entertain them because I do not want to be desensitized and my actions irl to follow in form.
I went through all of high school, and no one taught me how to present my ideas in a respectful and articulate, concise manner. This frustrated me so much because I had big ideas, but I didn't know how to express them through my words so they would remain abstract in my mind. I felt like a blank sheet of paper to those around me or maybe a paper full of random doodles struggling to have any structure and coherency, and as such no one could really recognize what I believed because I couldn't show it.
Writing and speaking have helped me better articulate myself because it is such great practice. I might make a separate forum post about the ways I have trained myself because they are very interesting to me, and I haven't heard about the concepts anywhere very much. It's more about the connections I find between two seemingly unrelated topics, but I then build a bridge of association that links them together in which the result serves as a mental tool or practice to better help me learn how to think and express myself through language

Thanks for recommending I get a computer with 32 gb ram. When I looked at Amazon, the MacBooks from 2020 and 2019 were about half the price of the one I was looking at which is not that much newer--ridiculous. And I was looking at older ones that had twice as much ram in them. Your point of future-proofing my computer's gaming abilities is a pretty valid point, and I believe you when you say we are just years away from 32 gb ram being the optimal standard for computer gaming

I am going to upgrade to a new computer within a few months depending on when it feels right. My current computer has issues and is lacking in the performance that I desire from a computer. Please do not try to persuade me to a specific brand because I am only sticking with Apple. It's what I am comfortable with and used to, and Apple computers are good enough.
If you have any thoughts about what type of Macbook I should get, do share. I prefer the Pro versions over the Air models because of the better internal hardware and additional ports. I want to buy one that I plan on keeping for many years, and its performance should be acceptable for many years.
I basically have to balance the ratio of performance : money.
One that I have landed on is the 2021 MacBook Pro, M1 Pro Chip, 16 GB Ram, 512 GB. The price is around $1,000, most likely a bit more. I think its power would be more than enough for what I want and need, and the price doesn't seem too bad. What do you guys think?

Your quote says who ever does not believe. Does not include "who does not baptize".Baptism like many things in bible require more than one sentence to describe it.
It is true that one does not need to be baptized to be saved. Though, I would have to question the faith of someone who willfully rejects baptism when understanding it in full

Two things. If the verse is valid, it still doesn't mention water. Hence, I would say it is talking about Spirit Baptism.
Are there any examples in the Bible of Baptism being demonstrated without water?

I do not call her my god, I get that's a term people use which is as silly as 'my country' but she/it is the real goddess of reality. The mother of it.I have explained this elsewhere but specifically morally and psychologically, she is in human terms an extremely high functioning sociopath with probably a variant of what we call borderline personality disorder but a version where she feels everyone will reject the real her or accept her only becasue she programmed them to, she is in a hell of her own and soothes herself by watching us as entertainment. Nothing more to it, yes she finds beauty perhaps in the good emotions but also in the agony and bad ones.
Is this a view you learned about or more like a self-conceived conclusion you came to? I ask because I am unfamiliar with this belief
It sounds like this god has a lot of personal issues. "in a hell of her own" "soothes herself" "feels everyone will reject the real her" Why does she have them?

Yet, baptism doesn't save us.
"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." - Mark 16:16
Are you disagreeing with this? Faith and Baptism save you, but lack of Baptism is not inherently a road to condemnation--only lack of faith is.

Right, that’s why there are no laws or regulations governing the manufacture or use of automobiles and we don’t require people to get a driver’s license or wear a seat belt. Because cars don’t kill people, people kill people. The speed limits are for the people not the cars. That’s why you never see someone running faster than 70 mph down the highway. Because the speed limit applies to people, not automobiles.
It took me ten minutes to figure out you were being sarcastic. I was looking at this like "Wut?"
You're right, my initial post about "cars driving drunk" is only a joke. Don't take it any other way.
They are looking for an echo chamber of alternative reality. It’s my obligation as a citizen to deny them that echo chamber.
I am new to your views. What echo chamber are "they" looking for? As opposed to your views, what is the information "they" believe?

Granted. Sadly, the US military is corrupt rendering the power of friendship negligible because the soldiers aren't united within nor are they united against their enemy factions, they just want to get their pay by shooting some middle eastern people and leave. Same goes for the Russian and Ukrainian armies. However, the power of the brotherhood quickly becomes prominent for the North Korean army and they would take South Korea by force. The force becomes greater as an active oppression of sources of information tends to unite the soldiers as they have less distractions in the military. Eventually, the US would be forcefully taken by authoritarian regimes such as North Korea via a landing in California in the long term, that is forseeable.More than that, gangs and drug rings could actually attack or manipulate people to join them or to die solely because bonding is prominent as well in those leadership groups. the US is quickly ridden by these underground criminals and the ass in the pain is collectively shared as a problem for all countries in the world.Geniuses are being repressed because the power of friendship of three people each less than 1/3 of his collective abilities are able to get a massive boost due to their "friendship". Scientific progress halts because... well, those who win are almost guaranteed to not be lonely geniuses or at that level except for fields where no one cares about, like geology. Nepotism springs upward as well as their interpersonal bond with the wealthy and the powerful and the related can manifest tangibly instead of figuratively. Opportunities are given towards those who wouldn't deserve it fully and rightfully, and in all fields a tyranny of the many would quickly become the status quo as those who side with the initiator on anything could possibly win just by the bond, even if the initiator calls batshit crazy stuff such as increasing the educational spending & funding up to $500B.
Is this a legitimate possibility you see in the US and/or happening in the world?
