that would be very noisy......tis better to let sleeping dogs lie.  My inclination is the spears are designed and more adapt to killing wolves and if there are any "enhancements' made to them, I certainly want one.

I'm not sure whether we rush there or we go cautiously will make any difference at this point.  A few extra minutes compared to a few days won't change whatever fate may have already happened.  Whatever is yet to happen we should maximize our chances of success by being careful.  Would be better to have our full strength and wits about us should we need it.

well I mean you don't have to have both, men can still pee standing up in a toilet.  So a urinal isn't a necessity.

Open or Closed minded?
-->
@DBlaze
who would outwardly admit to being a supporter?  Look at the confirmation hearing going on now and the people who are disrupting it.  Closed minded isn't an exclusive flaw unique to just any side.  Imo the huge failures to the unafordable care act was due to know it alls that were closed minded.  Because of the cringe worthy things he says I can't say I'm a Trump supporter but that doesn't mean he hasn't done some things well.  For all his great many flaws I think the U.S. needed someone like him.  While for many many years they all put on their happy faces and say nice things like "the gentleman from such and such a place" my colleague, my friend.  It's all b.s.  The hearings and investigations have exposed it.  The partisanship is really exposed now and whatever "compromises" back in the old days were probably more backroom deals than real compromise.
I hope Trump does well and things get even better, but I also hope he cuts back on the tweets and needless rhetoric.

unisex in that urinals would still be available?  Or perhaps one bathroom with all urinals and one bathroom for the squatters and everyone is free to use which every they choose.

I can tell you this though, women like having their own bathrooms w/o pee on the seat.  Generally women are cleaner and like it that way.

recently a large number of bones where found in France where they were putting in a new road.  I don't recall the documentary but I'm sure google will reveal that (they claim) no bones that have been found were of a vegetarian (human bones and the precursor to humans)  Which stands to reason.  Most edible plants especially fruits are seasonal.  And depending on where you look are almost non existent.  Consider the diet of native Alaskans.  Again depending on the location, people would fatten up for the winter like any other animal.  Sugars are fattening as are carbohydrates in general.  Animal meat is slower to digest which is probably more beneficial during the winter months.  When it comes to survival you will eat whatever is available.  In heavy snows and harsh winters deer will eat pine needles and starve to death with a belly full as they can't digest them.  Ancient humans didn't have the luxury of being vegetarian or vegan since they couldn't farm year round like we can today, they also didn't have pesticides and gmo plants, not sure which group is better off.....

(it's on the 3rd floor, should we check the 2nd just to be sure?)

depending on how big this place is we might want to check the ground floor as well.

Ok guys couple of options
we check out the basement and send the kids to the 3rd floor either alone or split the group (we probably all know the saying about splitting up the group)
we all go to the basement or to the 3rd floor

If there is something trapped in the basement we should make sure it's secured until the children and any others are safe.

(depending on your level of paranoia one might think someone is trying to lure us to the 3rd floor and keep us away from the basement.......to what end, time will tell, perhaps the creature is the ill woman......)

How did this creature end up in the basement or get into the house?  We should approach and listen for any commotion.

Let's see a resurgence in Michael Moore's The Big One.(Nike)
Phil Knight, chief of Nike. Their conversations, in which Knight defends using child labor in the politically oppressive country of Indonesia, then rejects Moore's offer to build a factory in Flint ("Americans don't want to make shoes," Knight blithely explains),

We should approach cautiously, but I'd prefer to be more out in the open.  It's difficult to see what might lurk off the path and in the shadows of what little light there is already.  Given what we have seen thus far the overgrown and disrepair is probably hazardous the further you go off the path.  The noise from the gates has already alerted any creatures or people of our arrival.  If they have interest in us then we have probably been observed since our entrance.  Any chance of stealth or surprise has been eliminated by the gates.
(The fog has allowed us and perhaps even gave some protection to get us here.  From reading the note asking us here, we are expected anyway)

I have not ruled out the possibility that the messenger was bait to lure us here.  How he was able to track us down and know our whereabouts is rather suspicious.  Be that as it may, we are here now.  Setting aside our suspicion but not our caution we must carry on as if everything is as it seems.  If there is any alternative to pressing forward, let's hear it.

what kind of funeral ritual would Zud like  Asking for a friend

Are the plants growing around and inside consistent with what we have seen and would expected in this area?  Are there any placards near the entrance or statues?

Given the condition of the trees and plants we have seen, we should be aware of any that look abnormally healthy compared to what we have witnessed so far.

i'm starting to get the feeling we aren't in Kansas anymore, I think you can have shape sifters or half man half wolf that aren't actual lycanthropes but I don't know for certain in this game

yes, the rope idea is what I was thinking as well

do we or can we get walking sticks?

(might be useful as feelers if the fog become that thick)

is the width of the path fairly constant?

(should we no be able to see knowing the distance between trees could help us stay on the path)

any evidence of recent use of this path, foot prints etc?  Any markings on the tree trunks, signage, carvings, animal markings etc?  Does the moon shine through the fog or does the fog not extend over us, is the sky above us open and not obscured by the fog?

I think time is of the essence and there is urgency so we probably can't go around the long way.  Should we rig up a rope that we can hold onto and not get seperated, should the fog get so thick we can't see?

are we sure they are werewolves rather than something like a dire wolf?

do any of these patrons or messenger have specifics on the creatures we might encounter?

technically they are, though there are many government approved poisons, just look how much roundup is acceptable in our food and until recently arsenic, though one form is still permitted by the f.d.a.

I guess the atheist who think we evolved from some kind of monkey shouldn't take offense right?  This is what happens when society allows the misuse of words as acceptable.  We become chicken (see what I did there?) say things and now no one g.a.f. since so much is misused, taken out of context and oh those ever so precious feelings boohoo  They should go back to their safe spaces with their dollies and diapers.  Most of us where children at one time or another.  There was always that one annoying kid who repeated himself or used words to be annoying.  Once we grew old that kid was mostly ignored and since those words no longer got the desired response it was time to try something new for him, or grow up depending on the kid.  Needless reactions give things power that they normally would have, that's what happens when people can't control their fragile emotions.

truth hurts aye?  don't pout,  facts are facts, the whole sticks and stones has been a saying for a very long time.  but is your choice and absolute right to be controlled by your emotions.  I don't advocate it, but I acknowledge your choice to do so.  There's a certain illogical reaction to the emotional response to being called a name.  If I called you a dodo head, which I would assume you don't believe to be true, then why would it bother you?  Unless you are 3 years of age that is, then it would be understandable.  But at some point most of us grow up and the trivial and silly things people say no longer bother us  I guess we are getting more into psychology than politics, but I would say the over all maturing of politics is very juvenile.

that's not true, you can chose to handle it however you wish, but that's on you, not me.  I don't have control over your feelings, you do, or should anyway, not my problem if what I say offends you because you chose to let it offend you.

perhaps the "good stuff" is in the back.  should we consider buying everyone a round and or anything else that might lighten the mood, happy people are talkative people.

I should like to inquire where some of these folks are from and going to.  What about the mountain, are there mines in it.  Is it used for anything, anything out of the ordinary about it?

when you are the person who caused the other person to feel that way,
I disagree in relation to this context, how a person feels is a choice, they chose to make this about race and be offended when they could have chosen the other context that @Bubbamoose described.  You can choose to say the most hateful and offensive things possible, and I can choose to ignore them.  That's life and I don't wish to live as a snowflake, the pussyificanization of society is the problem with this whole feelings argument.
