Please replace 420 with the first town death. I know it will pass off scum if they targeted somebody based on their skill level and not other reasons but I don't think the game can be fair without it and if I have to deal with 420 at Lylo, I am just going to quit. I think anyone stuck in that situation will have a similarly unenjoyavle experience as well.

As for the elucidation of your claim, I don't really get why the PM apparently says scum will "get a leg up" when you recruit them, then says that you would also get info on whether scum is in that pool. So within the same PM, you're being told that your role can help scum somehow... and allow narrow the pool of likely scum substantially?
So essentially a carrot and a stick. The carrot for recruiting would be my ability to investigate on NP3 and the stick would be that if I recruit scum they get some advantage. Maybe an extra power or something. It wasn't made clear to me.

Maybe but I think whiteflame had had plenty of time to actually be fully transparent about their role. I told him to do it, which means he knew I was considering joining the lynch wagon and he didn't provide more details.

The problem? Lunatic never said that. I checked all of his posts up to that point. He said the game could end quickly for either side, but he never said NP1.I’ve been feeling that Pie was irrationally and unusually scared ever since he started to promote the idea of a VTNL, but this might be why.

I think it's just how the human brain works. We don't really remember what is said, but our interpretation of what is said.
Even though I am guilty of this it does also piss me off when people do that with my words, because occasionally I slip off into telling things with layered meanings or something I say is more nuanced than the person hears.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to reveal this yet, but the Game is unlikely to make it to dp 4.
I asked whiteflame to explain his role more thoroughly because I wanted to know what type of cop. A weak cop and I just shut my mouth. A strong cop and then I have a CC. I just asked him to be transparent and he has denied the request so here is my CC and my full paraphrased role.

Barney and Casey could be scum, but I'm hesitant to pursue those options since Pie is going after them. Also notice that nobody else has jumped on the "lynch Pie" train, even though that would be a great opportunity for scum if I was tunneling.

I had town reads not scum reads and I am starting to feel he is town here, but I also don't want to be embarrassed like last game.
I think we no lynch today. I don't think I am the most likely NK so I'll be here tomorrow and am in no rush. If I recruit scum they get an advantage so I don't they want to ruin a possible advantage and have bigger fish to fry.
As a rule of thumb I usually do hold off on trying to lynch people who will be tough to lynch if I don't think I can pull it off that dp and they have at least one scum partner alive. With that said, I don't really have any good scum reads right now but almost feel like we should just kill 420, based on the fact that when he is using the underdog account he has no issue responding to every other post I make but is noticeably inactive this game
