I looked at my wiki and the words weren't used and it seems like a random fact to bring up so it feels like you were trying to induce me to claim the captain was my character with foreknowledge that was my character

I also suspect he may have a role where he knows my character and why he was needling me about it so long. He just didn't know I was too oblivious to realize he was talking about somebody else and correct him. Perhaps he thought if I revealed my character (which he made happening with his needling) than he could spin it in a way beneficial to him.
