The logic for mafia is that they'd sit quiet. Every post a mafioso makes is just another to give them away.

I forgot mafia aren't removed from the chat when lynched. I was thinking along the lines of Sui would be dangerous mafia where character claims and their significance was concerned.

I think Earth claims PR. I also like his leftfield thinking wondering after womanisers or whatever the fuck. That did not seem for our benefit, rather actually trying to figure out the theme. 

If you want an argument as to why he should at least claim, he seems one of very few that has theme knowledge. Dangerous mafia, something something.

See Sui's first post. Mafia are under pressure to post. There's often too much of an energy when they do post, because it takes more of an energy. Same reason you'll get mafia inactives.

I wrote about the exact sort of scumtell that I have on sui in a recent game on here also I'm pretty sure. It's a bit artsy, but I believe in it. 

My reads aren't so easy to explain, but it's POE, I have minor scumtells on sui and I get Mikal's Earth fos - whiteflame's trying to shift it over to sui seemed buddying and distancing. 

I think whiteflame and sui are mafia. I get the Earth fos also but he's probably PR.

It's better than a no lynch but I'd definitely prefer to lynch someone else. It also reads really town (or truthful) that he addressed it to me when I was townreading people.

GP probably wins outright if he survives but who cares about that either. Lame lynches is not winning. 

I don't know how active I'm going to be this weekend, but I know we got time. I actually think I have two decent reads in DD and Mharman and I think GP is telling the truth, him being given survivor also fits with he said about being killed off within 10 posts last game and what Mikal said about him constantly trying to get himself killed. That really is just a boring lynch. 

Townreads are easier to take than scumreads, and it can be hard to pull the trigger on scum, but I do fancy going for an actual scum lynch this DP.  Anything for activity is good.

That's also baby AI, supervised, and not even thinking about general. The new reinforcement learning stuff is what's aspiring to a general intelligence. The idea is that if we're not training our models on labelled datasets we're learning general things. But not really. We're still feeding it the reward. It's just that little bit more loosey-goosey.

I think they should do a whole bunch of Lovecraft, but yeah it's hard to think of new ideas. I just really am sick of superhero movies. 

I think I just like darker stuff generally too. Maybe Squid Game and Hellbound gives us a bump that way coming out Korea recently. Tokyo Ghoul might be fucken awesome in CGI too.

I would suspect that humans aren't even a general intelligence, but rather innumerable competing specific intelligences. We've learned a couple of tricks from the human brain. These were architectures a billion years in the making. The world threw bodies at it. The entirety of life on earth. We beat Pong in 2013.

I'm not going to debate you on it, but I'm fairly well read on artificial intelligence lately and I really am curious what sort of arguments you'd be making. I've read the "Reward is enough paper". I've read Silver's ATARI paper and built that AI. I mean, deep learning aside, this stuff is all 5 lines of clever code for learning, another 20 or 30 for experience replay, and whatever else supplementary, I can't quite remember. Fair enough, I haven't a clue of what's going on with CNN's and feature extraction, and it is all enormously clever and impressive - I have even read papers which would prove that humans avail of a temporal difference sort of learning - but all of that is still so far from anything that could ever be considered general intelligence. The thing plays video games. These environments are incredibly limited. Actions are always predefined. If anything, I think AGI starts at the wrong end. It's cart before the horse. Evolution has been availing of reinforcement learning (or something not altogether dissimilar) for a billion years, and with an entire world of processing power. It built action and observation spaces first. We beat Pong in 2013, moving a paddle either up or down. An action space of 2. I can't even conceive of an action space for my baby finger, at least nothing I'd be certain of. I'm fairly sure there's nothing in the science that offers the slightest cause for concern. 

I think on a debate site people can forget that a lot of this shit doesn't really matter at all. Or needn't matter much to them at least. Thoughts on that?
