Voting Stage Rules
Welcome to DART's first official Hall of Fame induction process! This thread is for the second stage of that process, namely, the voting stage. During this stage, users (you) may vote for nominees in three categories (users, threads, debates) for inclusion in the Hall of Fame. The three nominees with the most votes in each category will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Any user will be able to vote for up to three nominees per category for a maximum of 9 votes per voting user. Voters may choose to vote for less than the maximum number if they choose. You may vote for any of the nominees who have advanced out of the nomination stage. The voting process will close at 12:30am, EST, on 10/18/19. Votes cast after the close of the process will not be considered.
When you vote, you are permitted to offer a brief justification for, explanation of, or reason for your vote. Any such justification, explanation, or reason must be confined to the same post in which you made the vote. Please also bold your votes to make them more visible. You may only change one vote per category, and that vote may be changed only once.
Those nominees with the most votes (3 per category) will be inducted into the DART Hall of Fame. In the event of a tie preventing exactly 3 inductions per category, the voting window will be extended for just those nominees who/which are tied. Those inducted will be formally honored with entries in the Hall of Fame thread. Those entries will be posted within 2 months of the voting period closing.
There are no prerequisites or eligibility requirements for users to participate in the Hall of Fame nominating process, except that they have an account on DART and are not voting/nominating from more than one account. Importantly, coordinating votes or launching campaigns for induction are prohibited. Violating these rules will be a moderatable offense. Other violations of the COC (e.g. personal attacks) committed in this thread will be treated severely.

Thank you, I guess I have always had high ambition, and try to meet that with everything. But seriously the modding I have approved, U think most of the decisions have been great. I also think you generally care about the website. You want to see it grow and seed up into another DDO. Now to be clear: I don't care you are gay, It is totally your business, however, for me, I just don't like it personally when homosexuality is freely used, maybe as a joke but "boo" or the nice ass shit, or the profile pics, whatever, it's just not for me, but I think I need to let loose a little. This is other peoples website,too anyway great idea with the HOF too

Has he confessed to you from both accounts?
He has not, but that is typically not needed when the evidence is so compelling. That being said, I will ask Thett a few questions privately, and depending on the information I receive, I may open just the Tyrone account in order to facilitate a double confession, thereby putting to bed any doubts. I am hoping though that I can confirm the confession with the private conversation.

The information I previously cited--the admitted IP match, the admitted possibility of a device type match (with an actual device type match), and a history of multi-accounting--were strong indicators that the confession was valid. The user was given multiple chances to recant. The confession itself came out of nowhere; I had basically finished talking to Space when he said it unprompted. I have no compelling reason to disbelieve him, and so I don't.

So far, I have zero reason to doubt the confession I received. In fact, all the evidence I have points to the validity of the confession. Space was given the opportunity to rescind his confession after being informed of an immanent ban. Therefore, if you have concrete and compelling evidence that disproves the confession, I would ask you to PM me with that evidence or information immediately.

I am unable to distinguish between Space and Tyrone. While I grant that it is possible that they are different people, there is an enormous amount of undeniable overlap. Space admits to sharing an IP with Tyrone and admits it is possible that they have a device type match (like the one I found). They also have an established history of multi-accounting. While I will not be banning either (because I don't believe the evidence rises to the higher standard needed to justify a ban), I feel that the evidence is sufficient to take the following two steps. First, I will not be counting both Tyrone's and Space's proposed nomination--I will count just Space's as his vote was cast first. Second, I will not be counting both of their nominations to the Hall of Fame--I will count just Tyrone's nominations as he has the most support.
On the issue of vote coordination, I have received assurances from Thett that no explicit decision about who to nominate was made by the alleged conspirators. Thett did acknowledge, however, that they wanted to construct such a plan, but were unable to get their act together. Based on the evidence of which I am aware, it is plausible that Thett voted by himself and then was sheeped by the others. The close timing of their votes can be explained by Thett or someone else reaching out to the others and alerting them to the fact that the HOF process was taking place (without precisely requesting them to vote a certain way). So, there may not have been an explicit plan, but there certainly were cues given about how the others should vote. If this is what indeed occurred, it skirts along the edges of the rules, but I don't think it breaks them. The goal of the anti-coordination clause was to prevent explicit efforts to skew the HOF results. What they did was too cute by far, but I am not sure it is actionable. So, while I personally doubt the veracity of the denials of vote coordination, I will not be voiding their votes, unless new evidence or analysis comes to light.
An updated vote count will be posted soon to reflect these rulings.

I do agree, the accusation of multi have gotten out of hand and because of Type1 and Nd24007. Bsh is a bit paranoid about multi'ing, and a permaban happened bc of a multi vote on. It is ridiculous...
I rarely check people for multis. Virt is usually the one to bring them to my attention, for which I am grateful. Nd2 would not have been caught, for example, without his vigilance.
But it let me state emphatically: no one is investigate on the basis of device type matches anymore (and they haven’t been for a long time); no one is banned on the strength of just an IP match (I always look for either a history of multi-accounting or other suspicious activity); and everyone is given a chance to offer a defense to any charge of multi-accounting.

I don’t believe it was I who contacted you about that. I made a ruling early on, after some false positives, that a device type match alone was insufficient grounds to launch an investigation. Since then, the account checking tools we use to determine militia have been substantially improved, and are more accurate than before. We also give all users accused of multi accounting the opportunity to defend themselves against those accusations.
In your case, however, you admit you share an IP with Tyrone so it’s not a false positive. You match by device type, which you admit is possible. And you have a confirmed history of multi-accounting. In your case, we’re not dealing with false positives, we’re dealing with well-established facts.
