The easier it is to access single shot, semi-automatic or automatic and overpowering weaporary, the more easily people --justified or not--- will be killed.Here in the UK such cases are very rare.
I seem to recall to circumstances where an individual in USA was approaching a house to ask for help or phone or something like that and they were shot.
Then there is all of the other innocent people killed by those with lawful or unlawfully aquired weapons.
More weapons = more uneccesary and uncalled deaths.
