Have you noticed that the first option on the banner is translation to Russian?

Looks like this website is designed as a repository and Russian translator for science papers that would normally be behind a firewall.

No other languages are offered- just English to Russian.

Please drop redpills on why the taliban is the good guys
-->
@Wylted
-->@oromagi
That doesn't make sense. You are saying the taliban simultaneously rapes little boys while also putting fags to death for also raping little boys.
Yes.  Rape is, in fact, far more commonplace in conservative societies where the penalties for such conduct are also harsher.  Look at the Catholic Church- spent billions opposing gay marriage while raping the altar boys.  I remember a reporter saying that there's no gay rapier place in the world than a religious school in Mecca.  The core of the Taliban comes from similar schools in Northern Pakistan.  It may not make much sense but it is nevertheless true- specifically and universally.   You can't shut women out of your society and also expect there to be no boy rape. If you want to end pedophilia, support feminism.

Also the last time the taliban was in charge, Afghanistan poppy exports dropped to 1/3 the level they were before they were in charge.
This is true but then the Taliban ran out of resources in 2006 and decided to make money the traditional way.  Taliban did outlaw poppy production during their reign in the late 90's and also clearly overlooked some illegal production in some areas.  They have already outlawed opium again but opium is also the Taliban's number one export- they couldn't survive without it.  The UN expects that poppy production will actually increase under the Taliban now.  This is the doublethink of totalitarian regimes- rape is illegal but also popular.  Opium is popular, even necessary but also illegal.  In other words, if you want to do this thing, you will have to pay the Taliban and the Taliban reserves the right to kill you for it.   As with most of conservative law, the point of the law is to illustrate who's on top.

@Wylted

American troops protected poppy fields so more of the heroin producing plant could make it's way to America. The taliban has promised to put an end to poppy growing https://www.wsj.com/articles/taliban-afghanistan-heroin-ban-opium-production-11630181316
It is true that the Taliban will make poppy growing illegal but the Taliban has also been the number one producer of Heroin for the last 15 years and US intelligence doesn't expect that to stop.  Like boy rape, the Taliban makes certain practices illegal but generally to reserve those practices for themselves.

Some U.N. and U.S. officials worry Afghanistan's slide into chaos is creating conditions for even higher illicit opiate production, a potential boon to the Taliban.

"The Taliban have counted on the Afghan opium trade as one of their main sources of income," Cesar Gudes, the head of the Kabul office of the U.N. Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC), told Reuters. "More production brings drugs with a cheaper and more attractive price, and therefore a wider accessibility."

@Wylted
I think Wylted wins as the holder of the highest ratio of opinion to fact of any poster on DART.

here is my first piece of evidence. The Afghanistan military frequently raped little boys and members of the American military were informed to just turn a blind eye.
Well, its not like the Taliban doesn't also rape a lot of boys.  It's true that the Taliban sometimes puts some men to death for raping boys but it should not be inferred that therefore the Taliban rapes fewer boys because most reports indicate the opposite:  the Taliban is more traditional and more Pashtun and the practice of Bacha Bazi goes back to the MIddle Ages in Pashtun cultures.  By all accounts the Taliban rapes more boys than the prior regime, who did also rape boys.

Biden’s Handlers SCREAM at Reporters to Leave as Biden Attempts to Take a Question from Press
-->@oromagi
I watched the video. Why did everyone immediately leave?
Because the press conference was over
Why was their shouting like that?
Reporters keep shouting questions after the press conference is called.  Ushers shout over reporters to make it clear that there's no more questions.

This isn't hard. Tell me the most obvious motives for those behaviors witnessed.
The behaviors that you reported do not take place in the YouTube video.  The shoving and panic and freaking out- those behaviors took place in your damaged and overwritten brain, not in reality or on the YouTube video you included.

Do som analysis on motives behind what you see.
Behind ending a press conference?

Good thing you had that 9 month old foreign blog redpilled.ca there to tell you what to think about today's press conference which people who formulate opinions for themselves likely interpret as a microphone problem, a fairly commonplace event and not at all a shocker.

I watched the video. Why would they panic and shove the media out and shout them down over a simple microphone issue?
Please provide the exact timestamp of the first moment you characterizing as "panic"
Please provide the exact timestamp of the first moment you characterizing as "shoving" the media.  Any physical contact between media and security?

The shouting has been around since the Obama administration but I suppose a guy who gets his news from foreign blogs wouldn't know basic shit like that.

Do you have news sources for your silly claims or is just alt-Right bloggers who do your facts for you?
Its a video that could be replicated on just about any day of the Trump administration.  But redpilled.ca has provided you a narrative and you are powerless to even make your eyes unsee what you've been told to see:  "shoving" "panic"   "shoving" is information redpilled gave you, not the YouTube video, which shows nothing like shoving or panic.
You can't report that Trump won the 2020 Election and then call your reporting honest and factual.  There is no honest or factual way to pretend that Trump is still president and blogs that so claim should not be counted on to provide accurate depictions of  the present President in action.
Irrelevant.  It's a video of the event. Smearing the rando who posted the video doesn't change what's in the video.

To assert that Trump won the 2020 election, your source for news would have to have knowingly lied many, many times every day of 2021.  Why would you trust a source that you know for a fact is lying to you constantly? Why is your deep trust for obvious liars irrelevant to the outrageously dumb and false claims you like to make?  Seems like your lack of responsibility as an objective source of information would be the first think I'd want READERS to know about you.

You won't explain why the freak out, if it is merely a microphone problem.
Watch the video again.  Nobody is freaking out.  You have been brainwashed to see pushing and shoving and freaking out in a video where there is none.

In normal events the staff just wait a minute for the microphone problem to sort itself out, not panic and scream at the press so loudly they can't hear the words of the president.
Sounds to me like this is your first press conference.

What happened on 9/11 when George Bush's Mike cut out? His team didn't start screaming over the fire men and rushing them off. They just waited 5 seconds for it to fix itself.
But its not always obvious to staff in the room that the mike was down.

..Alright, so I'm not going to.....figure it out by DP3.
I was kicking myself 10 minutes later for denying BELOVED PRINCESS.  You handed me an excellent claim with some credibility to it that would have assured the lynch.  I guess I was distracted by the remarkable coincidences that you could pretty much do get BELOVED PRINCESS out of "Enjoy Branson's Plain Pioneer's syrup plus Vitamin D" but also VIRGIN is sort of the pro-TOWN inverse of BELOVED PRINCESS.   Branson's VIRGIN airlines is what I was thinking and Pioneers+syrup +d  anagrams to Serpenoid Pyrus.  I should played your guess.

Bringing up 'fat people' and obesity to counter any movement towards public health.
-->
@RationalMadman
I think you are off-point generally and specifically.

You argued some countries with lower obesity rates tax sugar so the US should follow suit and tax sugar.  I argued that the US already pays the highest sugar tax in the world, although that tax is hidden in an artificially high price.  None of your response addresses your thesis or my anti-thesis.

You argued that Americans should stop screaming freedom and submit to optimizing guidelines and restrictions.  I argued that Americans are never persuaded by that approach.  Look at Reagan- his farm bill added massive guidelines and restrictions and taxes to the US economy without registering a peep of backlash from the Right because he complained bitterly and often about government guidelines and restrictions and taxes.  He said one thing and did another and Americans found that persuasive.  If Reagan has argued that Americans stop screaming about freedom and just submit to new guidelines and restrictions and taxes because they are sensible and efficient, few to none of Americans would have been persuaded and the sensible and efficient measures would never have been implemented.

You countered that Americans are less free than they think they are, which is entirely non-sequitur to the argument that Americans are not persuaded by arguments against freedom.  Americans are also less well educated than they think they are but that's irrelevant to the point that you can't persuade Americans by calling them stupid.

Bringing up 'fat people' and obesity to counter any movement towards public health.

@RationalMadman
 It is ...to do with campaigns and policies of 'taxing sugar' etc that certain governments carried out over recent years to help...reduce costs on the socialised or partially-socialised healthcare. If that's true, why don't proponents of this idea support the US doing that then?
The answer is that we already tax sugar more than any other country in the world.  Reagan's 1981 Farm Bill set very low quotas and very high tariffs on foreign sugar cane and sugar beet production.  Mexico would happily produce all the sugar the US could ever want for far less than we pay today but we tax most Mexican sugar at rates calculated to make sure domestic sugar is always cheaper for domestic buyers, which results in Americans paying more for sugar per lb. than any other country in the world.  This keeps domestic sugar production alive and still quite profitable since the cost gets absorbed by the addictive popularity of sugary drinks and candies. Reagan also set max limits for domestic production.  To keep the price of sugar very high, the government buys and converts overproduction into ethanol (which is slightly cleaner but not way cleaner than gasoline as fuel).  So, yeah, we don't call it a tax but Reagan taxed sugar at the highest rates in the world while condemning such taxes generally and most Americans failed to notice the hypocrisy.

There are many countries that consume way more sugar than Americans and yet enjoy lower obesity rates- Israel, Brazil, Cuba, Russia, Australia.

I do think that American taxpayers could save a lot of money in healthcare by implementing free athletics and exercise programs as well as free annual checkups for all Americans.

I don't think most Americans will ever be persuaded by any "stop screaming freedom" argument.

Immoral to use drugs/vaccines developed with fetal cells?!
 unless we also discount vaccines which use fetal cells for testing or production, I submit we are not really providing a legitimate alternative.
I would think any vaccine that provokes an immune response is a legitimate alternative.  Almondmilk is a legitimate milk alternative for some recipes and preparations. We don't need to discount milk as legitimate or even a preferable ingredient in order to satisfy people who want less lactic acid in their diet or less animal product in their diet.

Secondly, we don't have a viable alternative currently.
Why aren't the vaccines I suggested viable alternatives?

If one were available to meet the objectors demands, I would agree - give them what they want so we can keep qualified staff.
I think the vaccines I suggested (as well as others) would meet the specific demand for no fetal cells.

In the absense of a valid alternative, the only option is to ask them to leave.
Why aren't the vaccines I suggested valid alternatives?

We should not lower our standards of expertise in the name of keeping 'qualified' individuals.
We escalated the use of a number of vaccines in the US last year without lowering "our standards of expertise."  I don't see why another micro-escalation would be inconsistent with good medical standards and practices.

If they do not recognize best practices and/or take seriously their oath to 'do no harm' they are not qualified.
Well, I agree.   I feel the same way about all Republicans who take an oath of Federal office but fail to condemn the Jan 6th sedition.  The problem with Republicans as with troglodyte nurses is that there's just to damn many of them to simply eject without causing additional harms and violating our own oaths and responsibilities.  Right now, we are about 1.2 million registered nurses short of present demand.  The oldest baby boomers are 75 so we are entering a 20 years period of record high healthcare demand at a time when nurses are quitting the profession in record numbers.

So, even though I agree that rejection of the vaccine should be disqualifying for nurses, which is a kind of practicing scientist and should adhere to scientific ethics, I disagree that we are in the socio-political position to make such demands on nurses.  We should also consider and respect that the call to nursing is often deeply connected to a religious calling.  We need to pump a lot more money into training and compensating nurses and relatively cheap stopgaps like an alternative vaccine for religious exemptions are totally worth it if it keeps hundreds of thousands in a critically understaffed profession.

Pandemics are famous for forcing ethical compromises and wise public policy knows when to stand pat and when to yield.  If I were a decision-maker staring at this particular problem, I would prioritize the retention of medical staff.

Immoral to use drugs/vaccines developed with fetal cells?!
-->
@SkepticalOne
There are some less effective vaccines that were developed without any fetal tissue.  Although none of them are FDA approved, I think we should provide an FDA exemption in light of the emergency (retaining qualified nurses, however misguided by FOX and church, is a national emergency at this point, ).

  • Israel – Pluristem Using placenta donated from newborn babies
  • JPII Medical Research Inst. And CET (Cellular Engineering Technology) Uses stem cell from postnatal placental tissue
  • Novavax – NVX-CoV2373 Uses Insect cells
There's a lot more- there's some 300 different vaccines in the testing stage.

We could point out further hypocrisies- a large amount of cosmetics, medicine, and food products were developed using tissue cloned from fetuses aborted fifty years ago- but I think Republican brainwashing is far past the point of being embarrassed by their lack of consistency.  If it keeps experienced medical staff in place, I think taxpayers should happily pay the costs of buying the most effective vaccine that used no fetal cells in development.

I won't say GP is more likely TOWN for posting his PM, just that I believe it is a cut & paste from PIe.  ASCETIC is only useful as a SCUM role.
The only way this doesn't make him "more likely town" is if you believe that pie gave them a full role and pm with a description,
which he has done in the past, right?

and the other mafia not only signed off on him using it like that in the first few minutes of the game going up, but didn't even try defending him and was just okay to let him roll with it.
  • I don't believe that GP checks in with teammates before acting.  GP has never demonstrated much capacity for team player.
  • GP always full claims first post of the game, no SCUM team is going to prevent that and they'd be suicidal to try to defend him
  • Whether the SCUM team was OK with it is not knowable to me.
  • Nothing.  I don't always convey all of my emotions and thoughts in each note I post which means other players sometimes have difficulty gauging when I am suspicious.  I am mostly suspicious of everybody DP1.
Fair enough, just thought it was wierd that you seem to want him lynched over supa

Naw, I just said, "that's rather sus, let's see who else thinks so," and went to bed.  I definitely think Whiteflame is more sus than Supa.

No.  I would have said he was close but wrong.
Not really any harm then.

All whiteflame's.  If you are town and you suspect somebody is a COP because they keep posting "50" should you ask him if he's a COP or should you use that info to WATCH and DOC him?
I mean I was trying to hint to you strongly in the pokemon game that my role PM indicated that pie was town, and you kept asking me "how and why" and when I finally revealed I was cop you acted shocked about why I revealed...
I'm still shocked- you are supposed to play tougher than that.

whiteflame tried to out the BELOVED PRINCESS.... what did Supa do to earn your vote?
Supa voted to lynch GP very oppertunisticly, GP who both you and I seem to agree is more likely town for posting his role PM.
I won't say GP is more likely TOWN for posting his PM, just that I believe it is a cut & paste from PIe.  ASCETIC is only useful as a SCUM role.

I have no clue what leads whiteflame to believe you are Beloved Princess, but you didn't seem all that suspicious of it before. What changed?
Nothing.  I don't always convey all of my emotions and thoughts in each note I post which means other players sometimes have difficulty gauging when I am suspicious.  I am mostly suspicious of everybody DP1.

Also I guessed your character in pokemon mafia as town too.
You guessed I was Misty because linked to Sarah Vaughan singing "Misty."  Good guess.

I mean if he was right would you have admitted to it?
No.  I would have said he was close but wrong.

Would that be then his fault or yours?
All whiteflame's.  If you are town and you suspect somebody is a COP because they keep posting "50" should you ask him if he's a COP or should you use that info to WATCH and DOC him?

Also guessing at a beloved princess while not neccesarily helpful to town, isn't as scummy as guessing at an investigative or protective role or something like that
Disagree.  GIving SCUM an extra (and blind) kill  in a 9-man game is way more OP than an uninformed COP or DOC.

Grudges

Easy for almost anything to occur.
Even if we've scraped the sky, we can be rubble.
For years those men felt one way, acted another.
Ground Zero, is it possible to get lower?
Now we had a new definition of the personal,
knew almost anything could occur.
It just takes a little training, to blur
A motive, lie low while planning the terrible,
Get good at acting one way, feeling another.
Yet who among us doesn't harbor
A grudge or secret? So much isn't erasable;
It follows that almost anything can occur,
Like men ascending into the democracy of air
Without intending to land, the useful veil
Of having said one thing, meaning another.
Before you know it something's over.
Suddenly someone's missing at the table.
It's easy (I know it) for anything to occur
When men feel one way, act another.

Self-voting
In many situations players have either emotionally or tactically self-voted, bringing them closer to elimination, or self-hammered, casting the final vote to eliminate themselves.

This play is seen as highly controversial.

Emotional self-voting
Oftentimes players, believing their elimination to be inevitable, or losing interest in the game, will self-vote in frustration to further their elimination.
  • As town
    • Theoretically, furthering one's own elimination as town is a strictly anti-town move. As the player is the only confirmed town they know, eliminating anyone else is superior if only for the chance at eliminating scum. As such, self-voting as town is often frowned upon.
  • As scum
    • Similarly, as mafia need more mafia members alive to win, a mafia member voting themselves is anti-scum in most scenarios in which their elimination can be avoided.
Tactical self-voting

  • As scum
    • Due to the prevalence of townies self-voting in frustration, many scum players have faked frustration and self-voted as an Appeal to Emotion, in order to be read as genuine frustrated town. This tactic has led to self-voting being regarded as a common scumtell.
  • As town
    • Fong's Gambit is a strategy in which a town player, recognizing that self-voting is seen as a scumtell, self-votes to evaluate the reactions of other players, and hopefully coax scum into opportunistically voting them. This play was popularized by the IRC Channel #mafia user fong.
    • As it is a variation of Slayer's Gambit, in which a town player purposefully acts scummy to gauge reactions, the value of this gambit is also debated.
Self-hammering
While self-voting is generally highly controversial, the practice of tactically self-hammering is seen as beneficial in niche scenarios.

  • As scum
    • If a scum player strongly believes their elimination to be inevitable, it can be effective to self-hammer in order to sow confusion and send the game into the Night phase. This can:
      • Cut off further discussion and information, reducing town Power Roles' abilities to plan for the night.
      • Unexpectedly cut off the input of whomever is about to be nightkilled.
      • Reduce potential associations between the eliminated and the remaining mafia members.
      • Hamper Vote Count Analysis and prevent town's ability to generate reads on what would be another player's hammering vote.
  • As town
    • In any case in which another elimination is still possible, it is almost always anti-town to self-hammer. However, if the day's deadline is imminent, a No Elimination would be statistically worse for town, and no other options are available, it can be appropriate for the player to self-hammer, providing the town with some information from that day, and preventing their likely elimination on future days.
    • In some setups, such as Vote for Town Mafia, the players are voting for someone that they believe to be town, rather than someone that they believe to be scum. In this situation it's common for townies to self-hammer, because they know their own alignment and thus that the vote will be beneficial for them. (In fact, the self-vote is normally taken into account when balancing this sort of setup; late in the game, town might not have the numbers to get a vote through otherwise.)
Common tell
While this practice is commonly seen as scum-indicative, no data has been compiled on the actual effectiveness of self-voting as a towntell or a scumtell. The lack of strong evidence one way or the other has led some players to believe that voting for self-voters is actually just a Policy Elimination for anti-town behavior.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers Mafia DP1
Not much to analyze.

  • GP's claim read like a Pie written ROLE
  • "Gentlemen, Sorrow, Anger," is one obv auto correct.
    • The character name Fourtress may also have been corrected to Fortress
  • So, we're meant to believe that GP cut & pastea the DP except for wincon.  Why leave off wincon if you are demonstrating idgaf?
  • In terms of gameplay, ASCETIC essentially plays like MILLER- conveniently untestable.
