The biggest plot hole is Mangod.
Because Mangod requires Mangod requires Mangod ad infinitum.
When actually, Mangod only requires Man.
Such are Mangod flaws.

Heroin is a substance, banned or otherwise.

Same could be said about Atheism.
Or Nazism, even.
Wear the badge, wear the outfit, promote the ideology.
Or philately.

130 is 100% of 130.
Similarly 99 is 100% of 99.
Therefore everyone has a 100% IQ, relative to their IQ.
Though even people with big ones, sometimes do stupid things.

So Mangod fancies a sacrifice, so he asks Abraham takes his son up a mountain and sacrifice him.
But fortunately there's a Ram stuck in a bush and that does the trick.
What's stuff like that all about, FishChaser?
Now, I can run with the idea of an Extra Terrestrial Super Intelligence...But not one that does shit like that.
So same Mangod screws a virgin, she has his son, who is actually Mangod himself...Then proceeds to sacrifice his son who is actually himself, for me and you.
Yep, makes a whole lot of sense, FishChaser.
And this sort of baloney is the foundation of your life and existence...Hey, whatever floats your boat.
Hey, and don't get me started on boats, with a cargo of approximate 8.7 billion animal species on board.
Even the birds had to land occasionally.
Obviously marine life had an easier time of it.
But I still wonder who collected all those marsupials from Australia...And the Polar bears and the penguins...They don't tell us that.
Nonetheless, not bad for a 600 year old bloke.
How much nonsense do you want?

See the fish, chase the fish.
Hey, I always love it when magic mangod enthusiasts get irked by common sense.
I never get irked by magic mangod tales, it's what makes these threads entertaining.
So you obviously realise that fossils are clear evidence of life before mangod, and therefore that your 10000 times great grandparent was a tinyblob of something floating about in a primeval sea.
And a mangod suffering for us in human form...Why bother doing dumbass stuff like that.
Nope it was more than likely just some deluded Middle Easterner stirring up trouble, who got nailed up for his sins.
But it inspired societal progress, multibillion industries, scientific research and not to mention, millennia of bickering and fighting and killing.

Red and Blue hats will have a significance, other than just colour preference.
If the Guinea pigs were Rats, I guessing that they would also have a genetically inbuilt preference, irrespective of peanut butter.
Though if Guinea Pigs were Rats, would that make Rats, Guinea Pigs.
Apologies.

I think that flower power and free love needs a revival.

@AdaptableRatman
There is what I refer to as the GOD principle, though I only use the word GOD as a point of reference.
So for sure the air that I breathe, is relative to unknown principles of space, time and existence, and perhaps the purpose of it all.
But the magic mangod hypotheses that arose out of human ignorance are so naively flawed...And certainly by today's standards come with totally outdated texts.
Even so, I never dismiss the idea that life on Planet Earth might have been seeded long ago by an advanced intelligence, so as such any mangod hypothesis is going to be analogous.
Nonetheless, the ritual and baloney that arose with mangod societies and culture is pointless in terms of appeasing or appealing to some beings that came here once and are now long gone.
But this is just another guess, and of course might also be total bunkum...Though, based upon our own experience, I still think it reasonable to suggest that creation and existence must conform to a universal law or principle...A principle, which any other intelligence or mangod is also subject too, rather than being the reason for it.
So the charisma of ennobled men in glamorous gowns and big pointy hats, chanting and infusing the air of majestic Cathedrals with incense, really floats your boat. And to be honest, I also find such performances entertaining to watch...Though it's all a bit RuPaul.

Some faith is necessary.
There are a 101 real things to have faith in.
Pretend mangods are a waste of time and effort.
Pagan style worship and devotion to the natural environment is far more meaningful.

No apology necessary BK.
It was good old immaturity and you've now grown up a bit.
Still a way to go...You will realise that lying in bed all day and having a few hens in the back yard, ain't a long term solution.
And neither is religion a long term solution...Just another way of wasting precious time...In this sense Ratman is just as naive and immature as you.
In my opinion.
But hey, what do I know.
I'm 65, have a lovely partner and two lovely successful daughters, own my own home and have enough money in the bank to see me out... No GOD necessary.
And when I die, my component atoms will be rendered back to Planet Earth and the Universe and may well be recycled...Such is reincarnation...No GOD necessary.

What you and others like you.
That's you then.
Yep, we're here for a universal nanosecond, genes and all. And then nothing.
And the Earth will be here for a universal minute or two and then be vaporised by it's lord and master.
To what extent Earth formed intelligence will pervade the universe is fascinating to think about, though it's cultural origins I'm guessing will be dominantly technological, rather than biological.
And shellfish sure were and still are amazing critters.
The temporary lives and deposition of shellfish, is in some ways similar to the temporary lives and deposition of organic data...Both familial, both genetic, both laying the foundations for the future of something.
Whether or not shellfish formed separatist cultural and religious societies is not possible to say.
Though Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Jews are just you and I in various disguises.

Nice to have another woman on board.
So let me give you something to think about.
In respect of material/universal evolution, how do you envisage the future role of organic intelligence?
That asked:
Every nation will have it's messy bits in someone's eyes.
And relative to scale, Planet Earth is either a tiny speck of cosmic dust or an inexhaustible ball of molten lava.
And I speculate that your origins are culturally different to mine.
And for sure, simulation theory has its pro's, so in that respect what I imagined has no guarantee of being a factual representation of reality.

@yachilviveyachali
Where would we be if women were not willing to have children?
Well, some might argue that at 8.2 billion and rising, then there is no problem, other than several billion selfish organisms denuding Planet Earth of it's resources.
So perhaps we would be better off if some men were to keep their dicks in their pants.
So, depending on where you live and what you experience, your observations and acquired expectations of gender roles might be different to mine...That's just the way things are.
Therefore I think that your concerns are perhaps more reflective of your own threatened gender role and masculine self worth, rather than a concern for the human species.
Where I come from, gender equality is the established norm...And it suits me fine.
The other day I had an electrical engineer come and install a new electricity meter, and she was extremely competent...We chatted about her children...No problem.

You obviously don't read the sub-text.
Meaning is not exclusive to Mangod hypotheses.
I promote the ideas of a meaningful Universe, a GOD principle and a human purpose.
I just don't go a bundle on ludicrous modern Mangod ritualism, developed from archaic Middle Eastern mythology...So one might be referred to as evangelical in that sense.

I'm just guessing that we are from two very different cultural societies.
A life of domesticity and male dominance, are not most "western" women's objectives anymore.
Women's brains are just as capable as a man's brain.
And men are just as capable as women, at caring for children.

@Sir.Lancelot
Old style, Asian based creation and existence hypotheses, that developed into theo-political systems of people management and social culture.
Basically no different to to the development of the Mangod hypotheses that developed and spread from the Middle East, through Europe and beyond.
Still no nearer to knowing the truth of creation and existence though.
Who has the best book, provides the best entertainment and has the most lavish costumery, is just pretentious nonsense.
RC's are good at pretentious nonsense, Hindus like to occasionally hurl brightly coloured powder at each other and Buddhists like to go Ommmmmmmmmm.
Whatever is takes to float ones boat, I suppose.

For sure, in culturally repressive systems the subjugation of females is still prevalent. Which is why I was questioning your origins and cultural habits.
The reality is, that if men and women are treated equally with the same access to education and opportunity, females prove to be just as clever, if not cleverer than their male counterparts.
In most "Western" societies where there is a well developed sense of equality, the old style concept of a career as "wife and mother" is now largely obsolete.
