There are traumas and issues, and then there are traumas and issues.

There's deeply rooted psychological stuff.

Kids and young adults and all their sexual angst.

And brief moments of disappointment when things don't go according to planned.

There is always a conflict of interests between body and mind.

And for sure, some people are more predisposed to a problematic mind.

Though I was referring more to the trauma and issues common amongst younger people.

Traumas and issues are largely based upon the endocrine system and innate data signalling where we lack conscious control.

Whereby we attempt to consciously override or ignore, subconscious messaging.

Easier to manage as one ages.

As I stated, it's easy to supplement ones food requirements. I also have fruit trees, grow vegetables and harvest wild stuff.

I found that it was actually cheaper and easier to buy eggs.

I have no desire to try and be totally self-sufficient. Far to time consuming and labour intensive, and I have other things that I enjoy doing.

And I will pass on the insects for now.

Growing a few supplementary foods is relatively easy and not too time consuming.

To be self sufficient requires total dedication, with little time for anything else other than essential day to day stuff.

To become self sufficient and retain a comfortable existence in a modern consumer society also requires a whole lot of financial investment and maintenance.

So, growing a few supplementary foodstuffs is what millions of people already do.

And becoming totally self sufficient is what a handful of financially secure people might have a go at.

To be honest, who would employ people with serious psychological problems.

They would always be throwing a sicky.

Not that throwing a sicky isn't already an established part of (British)work culture.

I would suggest, that for some reason or not.

Running parallel with the process of universal decline and innate material decay, is the process of material evolution. Whereby the processes of material function are harnessed and developed. 

We are a part of this.
