@Best.Korea
I have a ten-year-old Nokia that only does texts and calls.
I have my even older trusty lap-top for any other techno type stuff.
I certainly wouldn't waste my money like North Koreans or smartphone users do.
As I said, contentment is bliss.
And there's no contentment in a State of fear.

Musical Christmas cards too.
We've got one from about 20 years ago that still plays.

Pain, or discomfort or sadness or grief etc. etc.
That's the problem with the English language, we create a word distribute it widely and thereby dilute its meaning.

Child porn is not used by Nazis.
Something of a sweeping and unverifiable statement.
And Caitlyn Jenner is quite obviously a bloke in drag, with or without a dick. Free speech Bruce, with not a shred of hate.
And rather than legalizing polygamy, just do away with the archaic marriage contract nonsense.

Well, the human off switch is brain death.
And consciousness comes somewhere under the umbrella of electro chemical signalling within the human on-board computer.
Transferring those signals to an alternative computer, is surely feasible.
Would we be aware of an alternative existence outside of our original organic support mechanism?
After all, isn't consciousness, awareness of existence?
Does consciousness and awareness require anything other than an energy source?

As they will probably change again.
A thinking person's views will continually change.
I would suggest that there is a distinction to be made between thinking and unthinking people.
Not basic functionality, but the conscious and continuous effort to develop and modify thoughts.
Lone Wolves as opposed to the flock of Sheep.

Blimey, it's been two months.

The other would seem to have the worse moral dilemma.
Random thought
I often wonder how some people are able to work in an abattoir, day after day.

Wherein lies an iceberg's thought.
The iceberg's movement is only given meaning by the conscious observer or an intender.
Another angle to the latter A.I. dilemma, is downloading human consciousness.
Something I find quite a scary concept.
Consciousness without life at the behest of the on/off switch.
Goodnight and sweet dreams.

An iceberg is just frozen water, inanimate save for winds and currents.
And A.I. as in another intelligence is another intelligence that makes its own decisions, not requiring human input.
It would seem likely that sometime in the next few million years this will happen.
The inevitability of material progress, as I see it.
And let me remind you that nihilism is simply a philosophical concept by default.
Even suicide serves a purpose.
Though perhaps I shouldn't be saying such things.
Stay positive, even if it's just clearing the litter from the campsite.

Facts or honesty?
Though if children are programmed with misinformation, then can we blame them even when the grow up.
Such is the nature of an organic processing device, that it isn't particularly responsive to re-programming.

Exploded Sun probably in approx 5 billion years.
Do you think that we will have managed to escape?
Perhaps as frozen embryos on board an inter-galactic fridge.
Overseen by A.I. (Another intelligence)
Will we be able to trust A.I.
Will it deem us necessary.
As for your other dilemmas all that I can say is, that we only care because we can and do.
Otherwise, thoughtlessness.
And how would material evolution progress to a meaningful end without thoughtfulness?

Well, all that I can add is:
Morality is a variable concept.
Happiness cannot be forced.

Cleaning the campsite.
Is that metaphorical?
If the Earth was ridded of humanity, do you think that it would ever completely clean itself of every scrap of human detritus.
Or do you think that our legacy would exist until the end of the Earth.

We rarely see anarchy if at all.
Though there are two different styles of authoritative government.
One uses force and oppression, and the other has the capability to use force but doesn't see the need to oppress its populace.
Do you think that there is anyone in North Korea who isn't wary of everyone.
Isn't North Korea a State of suspicion and fear for everyone, including Kim.

"Being spiritual".
Yep, spot on Poly.
Anyone can do spiritual.
To coin a brilliant phrase,
Spiritual is as spiritual does.
Doesn't necessarily require magical mystery folk from magical mystery land.
And,
"Wasting time on nothing that means nothing".
Brilliant phrase too,
Though as yet,
I haven't quite got my head round that one.
"Sad existence".
Futile existence maybe.
Or maybe not.

All responses are electro chemical assessments and output of data.
As was rightly stated, just a function of the human mass.
A remarkable organic data processing system for sure, but that's just what it is.
As far as we know.
As far as we know, morality and nihilism etc are just electro chemically derived concepts.
As is a concept.
Such systems and their machinations might or might not ultimately be purposeful.
But there's no way of knowing, as the relative data is currently unavailable.
Though every mass that functions has its own functioning purpose, so absolute nihilism is therefore impossible even if that purpose is self-destruction.

The "Bible" is a compilation of Middle Eastern folk tales, stories and fantasy from approximately 2000 years ago. In short, a myth.
Most is second hand account, interpretation and reinterpretation ranging in date from a few years after the supposed life of Jesus, to many hundreds of years later.
The King James version wasn't compiled until 1611.

Well, I don't believe in anything. Things are either knowable or not.
Is my wife asleep in bed? Well, I assume that she is, but I can't be certain as I currently have no way of knowing.
And GOD is widely used to represent an idea of creation and universe.
And an idea is nothing more than an electro-chemical reaction.
So, do you think that a universe has a greater purpose other than itself?

@Lemming
Well, if we consider the Universe as simply:
1. The creation of all matter and energy within a system.
2. The evolutionary development of all matter within system 1, in accordance with the laws of physics.
2a. Including the development of organic matter, the development of intelligence and the ability to manipulate matter.
3. The eventual collapse of the system.
Now, if this was the be all and end all of a Universe then ultimately everything would have been pointless.
So, I propose that the purpose of all universal processes is the creation of a new Universe and so on ad infinitum. But then, what is the point of that?
But of course, how did it all start.
Well, that's another question,
Was there a point to it all in the first place?
And just for fun, I further propose that the moment of universal death and rebirth might rely upon a GOD law or principle.
Certain in the resurrection and all that stuff.
Does that make any sense?

Well, perhaps a warrior is an experienced soldier that enjoys the job.
Whereas most soldiers would rather be at home doing something else.
Nonetheless all are just pawns in the human social game.

What do I mean.
Inherent survival mechanisms.
Purpose:
As in the sequential perpetuation of a material universe/s
Though I find it hard to see that the perpetuation of such processes has any greater significance than the perpetuation of matter. Which in itself is seemingly pointless.
