I would suggest that there is a distinction to be made between thinking and unthinking people.

Not basic functionality, but the conscious and continuous effort to develop and modify thoughts.

Well, all that I can add is:

Morality is a variable concept.

Happiness cannot be forced.

And contentment is bliss.

And I'm not sure that contentment can be found in a State of fear.

If the Earth was ridded of humanity, do you think that it would ever completely clean itself of every scrap of human detritus.

Or do you think that our legacy would exist until the end of the Earth.

Perhaps our memories might be.

We rarely see anarchy if at all.

A remarkable organic data processing system for sure, but that's just what it is.

1. The creation of all matter and energy within a system.

2. The evolutionary development of all matter within system 1, in accordance with the laws of physics.

     2a. Including the development of organic matter, the development of intelligence and the ability to manipulate matter.

3. The eventual collapse of the system.

Now, if this was the be all and end all of a Universe then ultimately everything would have been pointless.

So, I propose that the purpose of all universal processes is the creation of a new Universe and so on ad infinitum. But then, what is the point of that?

And just for fun, I further propose that the moment of universal death and rebirth might rely upon a GOD law or principle.
