How to defend and spread the truth in this age of misinformation and gullibility

@Benjamin
I would suggest that everyone does what they do, without knowing why they are actually doing it.

The real truth is unknowable.

You only seem concerned with the machinations of human society.

Whereas I was attempting to look at a bigger universal picture.......One that involves humanity, but might also exceed humanity.

Korean society screams paranoia.

So why they do what they do is all relative.

We can become complacent with own our conditioned sensibilities, and also expect everyone else to behave as we do.

What motivated Otto to go to North Korea.

We're told that it's fantastic stuff,

But in reality it's hideously untrue.

Any evidence for Soul?

@Solaris1
The notion of Soul,

Is basically a coping strategy.

Nonetheless,

The difference between a living organic mass and a dead organic mass,

Might be suggestive of residual energy.

Or might just indicate an organic device that ran out of steam.

As Nations go,

North Korea is a bit of a nuthouse to say the least,

So not a place to go souvenir hunting, during your gap year.

"Why" is largely irrelevant'

Other than why go there.

Should have gone south,

To meet sensible  Koreans.

Scriptures are bits of parchment or paper, scribbled on by people.

Historically interesting,

But factually questionable, to say the least.

Extremely well stated Benjamin.

But consider a universal intent, where methodology only utilises organic intelligence, rather than is all about organic intelligence.

Perhaps it's just not necessary for everyone to be aware of the truth.

As long as human society functions in a way that progresses material evolution, then maybe we shouldn't concern ourselves so much with the quality of trivial day to day mass data transfer.

Maybe everything is actually functioning just as it should be.

Accurate data is a need to know thing.

And very few people possess the need to know thing.

Evil is simply a label applied,

To not nice stuff that people do,

To each other,

Counter to the concept of niceness,

Usually relative to physical or mental anguish,

As in pain,

And suffering.

No GOD actually required.

Unless one has been appropriately conditioned of course.

Then the World's your Oyster,

So to speak.

Poor Oyster,

Eaten alive,

Swallowed into the seething,

Gastric depths,

Of digestive hell.

Pure evil.

And,

Eternal philosophy.

As I keep saying.

A GOD......As in any eternal floaty about humanesque idea, exists only as a transferable data concept.

So obviously no actual eternal  floaty about bloke, known as yet.

But certainly an ongoing idea relative to an evolved  earthbound, complex organism.

Nonetheless we cannot rule out the possibility of an even more complex,  evolved universal system.

Which could be referred to as GOD, or BOB, or BOOM.

Though GOD or BOB or BOOM must come either before or after something even more profound....Namely, nothingness.

When considering everything,

We tend to disregard nothingness.

Christians don't say God is unknown.
Christians can say anything the want to, if they possess the relative data.

Though I said GOD principle, rather than God,

As in a possible but unknown purpose,

And not as in a floaty about bloke of relatively recent, Middle Eastern folk tales.

Sounds like anarchy.

Not sure how anarchy would pan out.

Though if your solution to government is internet based anarchy,

Aren't you actually, just transferring governmental responsibility to media corporations.

At the end of the day, it's just shadowy people assuming power and responsibility,

And the rest of the people being either happy or unhappy to go along with things.

A bit like what we currently do.

Though it could be argued that the current situation is somewhat more open to question, than the shadowy world of algorithms.

Belief is not the same as internal data storage.

You are as aware of atheism as I am of theism.

So on this basis I can similarly say, that everyone doesn't believe in GOD.

Though I would not be so arrogant as to say GOD.

But rather, A GOD principle.

Though to be fair, in conclusion you do repent for this sin.

And a sixth view might say that there might or might not be a GOD principle, but there is currently no way of knowing.

And a seventh view might say that GOD is a cheese and pickle sandwich in a motorway service station.

And so on.

Such are the variable possibilities of the unknown.

@Dr.Franklin
Well , just read your dictionary Doc.

But basically, the God principle is an internal construct, collectively and variously used to represent something that cannot actually be understood.

The GOD principle has been around for as long as Hominids have been able to internally formulate, store and remember more complex sequences of data.

So not just for two thousand years.

Despite what you have been conditioned to accept Doc, the GOD of your BIBLE, is no more than a made up character, in one of many representative creation stories.

For me the GOD principle only represents that which might afford the Universe a purpose.

But of course there maybe no purpose.

Such is the basic unanswerable conundrum Doc.

And the Virgin Mary, Jesus and his absentee father are only data in a comparatively recent book, subsequently transferred even more recently to inside your head.

Concepts Doc.

@ POLYTHEIST-WITCH

What's your problem Poly.

You're currently displaying very discriminatory and isolationist tendencies.

On a discussion website one should be able to discuss openly and tolerantly, with anyone from anywhere.

Just as Intel was doing.

I would love to see you snort.

And the reason why there are so many religious discussions, is because it is the most controversial topic.

Topics such as abortion, sexuality and politics vie for second place.

Though such secondary topics can easily be woven into religious discussion.

For example:

Does a GOD exist and does it condone abortion?

Does it condone homosexuality and other sexual variations,

And is it Republican or Democrat or Chinese?

Bad is a concept relative to the concept of good.

People do things is the bottom line.

Some things we like,

And somethings we don't like.

And some people like things that we don't like,

And some people don't like things that we do like.

And in the same vein,

A miracle is just something that happens,

Not by magic,

But because it can.

Miracle is a concept relative to actual possibility.

And floaty about GODS have also been debunked trillions of times.

(Just referencing  your dodgy statistic Doc).

Not that it makes a lot of difference,

Because all the relevant data,

Is, out there floating around,

Anyway.

So in simple terms,

A GOD has never healed an amputee,

Because GOD is a concept.

Though amputees do heal,

They just don't regrow,

The bit that was amputated.

Though,

Some go on to be,

Athletes.

Whereas,

Some entire people,

Go on to be,

Fat and lazy.

Laws are as Laws do.

And Attorneys work to a budget,

And the bigger the budget,

The less relevant the Law becomes.

Law is traded like any other commodity,

And legal reason and purpose,

Becomes largely inconsequential.

Other than as a media product,

And stock to trade.

Someone once said that,

Power corrupts,

And absolute power,

Corrupts absolutely.

Such are the workings of a society.

And the Law,

Becomes an Ass.

Atheism is derived from theism.

If there was no theism, then there would be no atheism,

There would just be databases void of certain contrived data sequences.

Though irrespective of popular contrived religions,

It does seem that humans have always felt  the need to understand,

And therefore attribute the reason for everything,

To something worship worthy.

Currently, the device is proving popular.

Head down,

Thumbs a go go,

@DeprecatoryLogistician
There is only ever one variable system.

So depending upon ones view point, left is either left or right,

And right is either right or left.

Feminism and Trans are labelled concepts relative to actions and possibilities,

And as such are all a part of the ongoing system,

Of material development.

As Athias suggested to me earlier:

It doesn't matter which way we are facing,

As long as we get there.

Not a trick question.

I was just emphasising the point, that as dictated by RM's axiom, I had turned around and was walking backwards.

My dilemma is:

As I am making  a pre-determined journey between reference points A and B, am I not still moving/walking  forwards?

In terms of time and space, don't all events move forwards?

And as I am facing my point of departure A and not my intended point of destination, although axiomatically I would be regarded as facing forwards, am I not also facing where I have come from, therefore backwards?

Well the reference points are A and B and Me

And I am travelling from A towards B whilst facing A.

So  my ambulatory mode  would be regarded as backwards, but in terms of my journey I will still be moving forwards.

And relative to B, I would be facing backwards, but my body position would imply that I was facing forwards.

So relative to myself, I bow to the axiom, but relative to my reference points A and B , I'm not so sure.

And I believe that instantaneous velocity can be both positive and negative, and if the path I take is well defined, then I am unlikely to go sideways.

Most people fit into one of two categories.

Egg producer,

Sperm producer.

Then there are the occasional developmental anomalies.

And then there is a separate issue,

Sex.

There is reproductive sex,

And then there is recreational sex.

To achieve satisfactory outcomes,

There are nowadays,

Various recognised options available for both activities.

It is very easy to conflate the two issues,

Of gender,

And half an hour in the sack.

And consequently,

Come up with,

All manner of stupid stuff.

Throw in a bit of psychology and surgery for good measure,

And  Bob's your Aunty,

And Fanny's your Uncle.

So to speak.
