I've never had any objections to theist presumptions.
I simply just disagree with theist presumptions.
What can this mystery reveal?
More assumptions I suppose.

Is virtue signalling really worth caring about?
I support Ukraine as practically as I am able too.
Like loading boxes into my car and taking them to a collection point.
Which I couldn't have done if I had dumped all the gas.

@Greyparrot
Well, I've no idea where my particular tank of gas comes from, and furthermore, I wouldn't be so immediately impractical.
Though if oil supplies were to run low, I would put up with the consequences.
Practically speaking we have provided essential supplies for Ukraine which should already be in Poland as we speak.
I think that it's all too easy to be flippant about what's going on in Ukraine, especially from positions of relative safety.
And on behalf of the Ukrainian people, a big thanks to the American people for the billions of dollars worth of military hardware.
Let's hope that the Ukrainian army gets the chance to use it effectively.

Because it has always had an all consuming obsession with the sex lives of it's adherents and others.
As exemplified by your good self constantly going on about homosexuality and paedophilia. (Practices that have been proven to be rife within the R.C. church for centuries.). And always worrying about what other people do with their GOD given organs of pleasure.
This is undoubtedly an inherent data set, and therefore can rightly be described as inherently perverse.
Try Ornithology Doc.....It might be a slightly less stressful hobby, and stop you constantly thinking about people having sex.

One assumes, as I'm not sure that the process is yet possible, that internally the electro-chemical sequences that produces internal imagery will be able to be replicated externally, or down loaded from the brain to device. Sounds like science fiction, but probably not far away.
In essence no different to technological data transfer systems conversion of a digital sequence into a perceivable image. So the distinction would be the same as the distinction between digital processes and what is projected onto a monitor.
And one might also assume that the process will be reversible. Uploading data from device to brain, as both storable data and internally perceivable imagery.
If and when we do manage to achieve these processes, the mystery that is the human mind will have been unravelled.
But for now we can continue to wonder or not about a GOD.

A. Is there a floaty about bloke that does magic?
B. Is the universe purposeful or not?
C. Can we be sure of anything?
Questions Questions Questions Deb.

@Dr.Franklin
Very clearly no from the data.
For sure.
Doc's data.
One of 7.9 billion separately contained bundles of varying data.
And like all good Catholics you ignore the controversies of the Church, and pretend that years and years of child abuse never happened.
Perhaps Catholicism is inherently perverted too.
Perhaps the human species is inherently perverted.
Though from that we can extend to the conclusion, that inherent perversion must be inherent normality.
And therefore I reiterate that best course of action, is the Catholic approach....Ignore and be content with yourself.
Created:

@Athias
I agree that processes are seemingly one and the same. Call them thoughts, call them electro-chemical data processing.
So we can detect the process, can we project the image externally?
I don't see why not.
Well, the argument that "atheism is irrational", is basically just a theistic dig at atheists.
Nonetheless, if we break the processes down to a base level of electro-chemical function, we can therefore question the rationality of all such processes, labelled theistic or atheistic or anything I suppose.
Labelling outcomes wont alter the base reality of the argument. Which is, GODS are not actually known to be anything other than an internal electro-chemical process.
As of course, are NO GODS.
So one processes and produces outcomes relative to acquired and stored data. So management/control of such processes is therefore a facet of one and the same process and it's acquired parameters......Self control or not, as might be judged.

Paper money is just the stuff that still gets used sometimes for local transactions.
I'm pretty sure that the global banking industry has learnt how to use computers by now.
Paper money will eventually go altogether......We're just in a transitional phase.
Your argument is a bit trivial and irrelevant.

@Dr.Franklin
Well.
East is east of east and west is west of west, or east is east of west and west is west of east.
Completely depends upon you Doc, and where you choose to view the situation from.
And at the time Ireland was pretty much third world.
And I wasn't necessarily referring to your direct ancestors, but generally to those that invaded and conquered the land mass known as the U.S.A.
So your third world ancestors were welcomed with open arms?
Now, you've got plenty of space over there for a few more, so do unto other Earthlings as other Earthlings did unto yours.
Oh and just to forewarn you....You might find that not all Earthlings exactly resemble those in your little tribal bubble.
But in the main, all that they want is the same sort of opportunities that your ancestors sought.
So it would be hypocritical to deny them, wouldn't it?

@Dr.Franklin
You were just not describing the U.S. there Doc.
The U.S is about as modern and multicultural a Nation as it's possible to get.
You exist in a very small niche. Now loosely associated with a Green past.
And distinct boundaries are being rapidly eroded by technology Doc.

@Dr.Franklin
Well that's all very well and good, but such studies can only be taken at face value. And one can only assume that they are not biased studies.
If you interpret my consistent point of view correctly you will understand that I am not necessarily an advocate of either current liberal attitudes towards sexuality, or same sex parenting.
I'm just tolerant, and content with myself and my social niche....And I just don't worry about how others might achieve sexual satisfaction, or the possible implications of their sexual activities and associations.
In terms of responsibility and intentional abuse I would very much doubt the veracity of the information you provided....Well certainly from a British perspective. Perhaps the U.S's approach to the social care of minors, is lax by virtue of the complexity of the law and other influences.
As for smoking related problems....Well perhaps less people smoke these days.
But I can't see people giving up sex any time soon.
And unfortunately as ever Doc, and not doubting your integrity for a moment. You nonetheless are still prepared to put a great deal of faith in a church still marred by the sexual indiscretions of some of it's former leaders.
A church that clearly repressed sex to the point of perversion.
Perhaps it's better therefore that we're all open, honest and tolerant of sexual behaviour, which after all is an inherent gift of creation.

@Tradesecret
Well obviously from my point of view the dilemma is easily fixable.
In so much as a biblical GOD has never been proven to exist.
In this exchange, I'm just questioning your contradictory faith and assertions.
"God is infallible" yet it's imperfect creation "stuffs up"....So who's fault is that?
It's clearly the fault of a fallible GOD, for imperfectly creating.
And a GOD that 's rather keen to pass the buck.
"God is the ultimate authority. He is the Law. He wrote the Law."
Sort of reminds me of something.......Despotism is one word for it.
He f**ks up peoples lives and the people are the sinners, because he says so.
And you would worship a despot.....Also reminds me of something.
And to the last point the answer is no, because there is no known answer.
Your solution....Blind faith in a fantastical ideology is simply what it is.....A fantastical solution based upon blind faith.
And "this is how the Bible describes God"......Well stories describe characters.....You're stating the obvious.
Doesn't mean that they are real though.
And the Roman occupation of the "Holy Land" might have produced a martyr named Jesus, who died for transgressing the Law.
But we can be no more sure of this than we can be of the existence of a GOD.
Can you actually prove otherwise.

I would suggest that pretending not to understand, so as to deflect from the logic of my argument, can rightly be regarded as strawman.
Nonetheless, if a GOD is fallible and does not take responsibility for the outcomes of it's decisions and actions, then why should a human have any faith in it?

Sort of an OK post, albeit in your "Be nice to people, assholes" style....Until the last statement that is.
Perhaps you should have aimed the post at white rednecks wearing red baseball caps.
I think that it is those types, that have a tendency to oppose immigrants.
Or is that just a darker skin, lighter skin thing?
We certainly know that the Orange GOD has a propensity for Eastern European women.

True.
Russia made money exporting oil and gas and we were all happy.
Now were not happy, because of the Ukraine crisis.
And blaming anything other than Vladimir Putin is stupid.
It's just not an argument about fuel demands and Green Energy evolution.
It's about backward thinking old style Soviet ideology and paranoia, from an aging despot.

If the finance company admitted fault after the event, then the repossessor was still going about their legitimate business.

So where's all that oil you need going to come from?
And how would not buying oil have stopped the Russians in their tracks?
Russians have got all the armour and fuel that they need to keep their tracks going.
It's the U.S. that needs the oil....Because as you say, you are not energy independent.
And Green energy is just not a relevant issue.
You are making stupid arguments for the sake of stupid arguments.

If a GOD creates and is omni-everything.
Then it would be logical to suggest that everything is as a GOD planned it, or that a GODS plans were fallible.
And you're picking and choosing, but all four adjectives would apply.
Though if a GODS creation fails and throws doubt onto their omni-credentials, why are mere humans sinners?
Created:

Everything is either the fault of A GOD or not.

Same old dead Russian cannon fodder too.
Such is war Russian style.
The folly and the temporary fall of man for sure.
But Russia could have sold oil and not invaded Ukraine.

Putin's NATO fears are just fantasy, that fuels his paranoia and his nostalgia for the old days of the USSR.

No idea what you're on about now guvner.
You seem somewhat confused.
You're back tracking on your Biden and oil argument.
Now agreeing that that the U.S's insatiable oil appetite is what it is.
And Russian misinformation is to always be expected.
And Green Energy?
The bottom line is that Russia just invaded the sovereign territory of Ukraine.
Essentially one mans war.
And you're trying to make political gain out of it.....I think.
So What would Donald have done?

The fall of Ukraine.
Is a direct result of the selfishness and paranoia of one person, namely Putin.
The U.S's insatiable desire for oil, is the result of the U.S. peoples insatiable desire for oil.
Trying to Blame Joe Biden for the actions of Putin is a ridiculous argument.
But no more than one expects from narrow minded conservatives, trying to make political gain out of an ensuing humanitarian catastrophe.

Legally, it is not your car.
So as long as the random dude was repossessing said vehicle as directed by and on behalf of the finance company.....Then said random dude was not stealing your car.
They were legally, repossessing the property of the finance company....Irrespective of the any mistake that might have occurred.
The bottom line is, that violence was not justifiable.
