Ongoing technological evolution is the evidence.

It's happening right before your eyes.

We now have a generation of people who cannot function without a device.

So considering what might be the necessary outcome of material evolution.

Which is the most likely to eventually become unnecessary.

Man or technology?

I suppose that you're best referred to as alternative, Poly.

I would imagine that you have alternative kids too.

I'm actually wondering if you're confusing religion and theism with your own personally derived alternative ideology.

And Santa's just meant to be a bit of fun.

I suppose you never read your kids stories either, with them being so full of lies and misinformation.

Pretence.

1. An attempt to make something that is not the case appear true.

Synonyms: Make-believe, act.

Gods and Father Christmas fit the definition perfectly.

Santa Claus is a lie that most parents tell their kids.
Well, let's be honest Poly....Santa is a folk tale that parents tell to their kids....Rather like the story of Jesus.

Both purported to be based upon real people....St Nicholas, a fourth century Christian Bishop......And J....The son of the wife of an itinerant Middle Eastern carpenter.

Both with plausible origins.....Though over the years they have become embellished with all sorts of fantastic add-ons.

Lie.
Just like a lot of words and phrases that you have a tendency to exploit for the purposes of dramatic effect Poly.

Every Christian essentially pretends to be a Christian.

Just as all theists essentially pretend to be theists.

Of course, in terms  of spirituality and it's hypothetical derivatives, atheists do not need to pretend.

Did you know him personally?

Did you know Rittenhouse personally?

What is the basis of your selective judgement Doc?

Maybe it's just a biased opinion based upon a conditioned political and ideological precept, fuelled by your therefore preferred, biased media outlets.

Just suggesting Doc.

Or maybe it's simply, all in the names.

Both I think.

Their motivation being something that they won't open up about.

They would appear to have a rigidly conditioned background, so I'm guessing that they might actually be questioning the basis of their own uncertainties.

For me Dart is all about the compositional and mental exercise, so I'm happy to run with their strategy of semantics based disagreements..

@thett3
Well.

Hear we have a nominal Head of State...The Queen, an ailing 90 something. Unelected

And then we elect a government and consequently a Prime Minister.

And then we also elect devolved governments to Scotland, N Ireland and Wales and other British colonies.

And then we have an unelected Upper House of Lords. Which although sometimes wrongly portrayed  as a bunch of sleepy aristocrats, does in fact do a good job of  moderating the  government.

Although the Monarch does historically represent a powerful establishment lobby, they ordinarily have no influence over government policy.

Whereas in the U.S. The Head of State seems to have a more dictatorial role.

We do still have died in the wool political allegiances, but to a much lesser extent than the U.S. I would say.

And because of the nature of our multi-party system, absolute government control over policy is never guaranteed.

And then I would suggest that we have a mainstream media system which is seemingly much less able to directly influence government. And also religious  institutions with no direct influence over policy.

Rightly or wrongly, I see the U.S media as perhaps a third tier of government influence  and religious institutions very much as a fourth.

And then there's Global Media!...Heads down and  do as you are told, as it were.

Now that's a bigger issue.

Well.  Human animals  probably have an instinctive need to be gregarious.

Though a highly developed, conceptually driven social culture, often prevents the expression of natural behaviour.

Hence why people seek attention...Sometimes dramatically.

Also, probably has a lot to do with people who choose to commit suicide.

So I don't think that any old dude from down the hood, is going to be running.

Except from the cops of course. (Joke).

As ever though,  I expect that it will be the minority of floating voters that decide the lesser of the two evils.

And from a Democrat and Republican perspective, it will end up being either the evil ones or the evil ones..

Anyway we're all looking forwards to the next election circus.

Well....Whether or not America has tread outside the boundaries of democracy is very much open to debate.

And I doubt that the entire nation agrees with you.

Nonetheless, you are implying that a tyrannical Police Force is wholly justified, because of the second amendment.

And a "well regulated militia" is a very woolly proposition indeed....Throwing up all sorts of possibilities.

And what or who, decides who is what....For example, when is a rebel not a well regulated militia person and when is a well regulated militia person not a terrorist.

I suppose those sorts of decisions are left to the tyrannical Police Force.

Why not at least try and consider the difference between acquired and inherited data, and their operational significance.

Ha Ha...Same old then?

I have already specified. Probably many times.

Data is simply accumulated information. (Including misinformation)

In humans, derived through sensory input, stored in the brain and variously analysed and output.

Though just for fun, I will complicate things by saying that inherent or transferred information, is also operational data.

But obviously somewhat different to the above, in terms of acquisition, storage and application.

Information is not implied to be true at all.

Information can be accurately representative of something, or inaccurate, or even complete nonsense.

Therefore it might be implied that mis-informed information, is designed to deceive, or confuse, or perhaps even amuse.

Nonetheless, all acquired and stored data and subsequent data transfer, deals with information, irrespective of quality.

And although obviously relative to the quality of information. True and false, are only words/expressions we can use to categorize other information.
