What goes around, comes around.
So 75 years ago, approximately 185,000 Americans had given up their lives in the fight against Nazism.

And now the Black Shirts prepare to march on Washington D.C.

Whose a PROUD BOY then?

I tend to take the view.......All this seems consistent to me.....It all seems natural.

Things are only precise and accurate if you invent a system that makes things precise and accurate....But things are never perfectly accurate...Only reasonably so.

And so we pick up on things that are reasonably accurate and disregard everything else that isn't....If one wishes to make a point, one therefore needs to be selective.

Though, one is not disputing physical laws....Physical laws either are or are not.

Quite obviously, the contention that you and Stephen cannot resolve.

You might be certain that you can resolve it, but Stephen is certain that you cannot.

Because the text allows for more than one interpretation and therefore more than one outcome.

Short of you burning Stephen at the stake for heresy, I would suggest that agreed disagreement is the better option, as neither is going to convert the other.

My continued position is that any interpretation of the bible is valid, given the uncertain nature of it's compilation and  contents.

Nonetheless a literal acceptance of the bible, throws up obvious contradictions, which Stephen is keen to point out.

So you and Stephen come to  differing conclusions, for differing reasons and neither of you is right and neither of you is wrong.

Better to agree to disagree and then move on to the next challenge....As this issue is clearly unresolvable.

Nope. An ardent puzzler would have instantly recognised a random set of numbers all with a value of less than 27....As I said you just do not understand basic puzzles, simply because you have not learned the methodology.

Which was what my original contention with I.Q. was all about....You either know something or you don't.

The second puzzle is so simple...Just ask a Greek.

Sorry. I was being philosophical rather than political.

Originally money was invented as a token representation of goods, replacing direct trade....But pretty soon money became more important than the goods themselves.

Modern monetary systems, inflate the value of goods and services and create non-representative wealth, and at the same time we borrow against this bogus wealth incurring a bogus debt.

It will probably goon for ever and so what.

Obviously I am only referring to National debt, rather that personal day to day survival....Day to day survival is a whole different can of social worms.

I'm merely addressing the contention between you and Stephen.

Stephen is correct in his observations, and in this instance you cling to "John", because that is all you have to cling to in this instance.

Your observations of "John" are correct...But that is not the issue.

So why is it so hard to admit that another persons observations are also correct?

Given the sequence of events and time frame involved it would be foolish to expect that the modern bible would be a perfect record of something.

Hence all the contentious squabbling.

Does the Bible Really Support Slavery?
-->
@Jarrett_Ludolph
The bible is a book and perhaps supports the leg of a wobbly table.

The various records and stories found within the bible, would suggest that "slavery" was a commonplace practice and expectation during "biblical times".

As slavery still is today, but to a much lesser degree....Perhaps.

@Tradesecret
In constantly trying to concentrate on "John",  you are attempting to distract from the real issue.

The contention as you are  well aware is not in "Johns" version of events...But the obvious contradictions between separate versions of events.

Separate contradictory versions that come together to therefore make a flawed whole....A flawed whole that you put so much faith and belief into.

For my part, the flawed whole is simply indicative of, various versions of folktales rendered to a mythical status and purely of historical and social interest.

Stephen for his part is perhaps a tad more zealous, but nonetheless his observations of the literal presentation of the bible are correct.

No support required....The bible that you read is  multiple translations, reinterpretations and adaptations of several thousand year old stories.....Undeniable fact.

Differing interpretations thereof, even lead to schism within the regional theistic community.

So assuming that your modern American version of events is spot on, is a tad fanciful to say the least.

Well.......I wasn't looking for a material answer.

I wasn't looking for an answer at all.

I was just reiterating the absurdity that is the sense and nonsense of money.....The one true god.....Once precious metal,  then cheaper metal and paper and now just numbers in cyberspace.

Interestingly the Chinese national debt is $5.5 trillion (approx)....How's that for frugality?

Perhaps puzzles aren't an American thing.

Nonetheless:

The second puzzle, tells you the answer...All that is required is a bit of General Knowledge.

As for your puzzle......Applying basic puzzle formats, one initially doesn't need to come up with anything other than 6.....

As for my first puzzle.....Try applying the basic puzzle technique of converting seemingly random numbers to something else.

LOL.

I'll take the age thing as a compliment, and as for the debate jibe, well I have no real time for formal debating, though I will sometimes do a debate if it doesn't require much attention to detail.  But winning or losing is neither here nor there.

I am actually 40 years older than you, which probably reflects my preference for Old Prog Rockers and Classical Music....Nonetheless, I would say that my taste in music is very eclectic.

Steve Hackett, Jon Anderson etc......  And Ralph Vaughan Williams is perhaps my favourite composer.

The chipmunks thing was not to be taken seriously......So who are your favourite musicians?

Yep...Some exaggerated examples there, but that's the general principle.

But even within the confines of a McDonalds establishment, the customer becomes the general public, and are subject to the rules and conditions laid down by the McDonalds organisation.

I was merely observing that humans have a general tendency to accept authority, without consideration.

Ask Francis Rossi.

Failing that, I would suggest that most Americans don't really care about politics 99% of the time. They're more concerned with necessary, basic, day to day function.

And every four years they stick on a badge and go join the political circus.

Unless you're a proud boy and have nothing better to do with all that testosterone, of course.

Nope. Incorrect.

As I've stated previously, it's a standard puzzle.  It just requires a little bit of thought, and any keen puzzler would work it out in seconds.

Nope..... The Bible is what it is and nothing more....And as such, is open to a million and one interpretations.

Assuming that you are right, is simply that and nothing more....Yours is but one interpretation.

Stephens interpretations are very literal, though taken from what is essentially a book of Chinese whispers....

Nonetheless, if you are going to make judgements based upon a certain text, then you should stick to that text, and not  profess to know the thoughts of long since, dead men.

If Jesus is GOD...How could he ascend to his father, if he is his own father....One and the same as it were?

And Mr Mopac...How do you feel about all the gender appropriation going on here.

And Mr U....Jesus wants Thomas to thrust his fingers....Metaphorical foreplay as it were.

And Mary is a four times translated version of something vaguely Hebrew....So actually there were no Mary's in J's posee.

It's all latter day reinterpretation of a reinterpretation of a reinterpretation of a reinterpretation of a regional  folk tale.
