With regards to moderation;

I'm referring to the instinctive behaviour of humanity as a whole, rather than the conceptualised activities of a religious organisation.

I would suggest that the root cause of perceived social problems is the overriding influence of human inherency.

Economy and morality are secondary social constructs and as such are always a secondary consideration.

The primary influence does not require thought or collective thought. It is pre-programmed and therefore can only be temporarily ignored and not permanently overwritten.

Whereas secondary considerations always require a whole lot of fat chewing and will always result in variable outputs and differences of opinion.

Consensus is only ever a temporary solution, subject to the fickleness of consciousness and conscience and the ability to subdue sub-consciousness.

Yep.

 As long as the moderate voice continues to outweigh the extreme voice.

Though history tells us that it only needs one charismatic nut and the balance can be tipped.

Intolerance and Christianity may not be compatible.

But there will always be intolerant people in all societies. it's an unavoidable social reality.

I work with peaceful integrated Muslims on a daily basis.

There will always be intolerant people, in all societies. 

Just take a look at all the Christian nut jobs in the U.S.

I'm always open to new ideas.

Islam, Christianity.

Just because you think that something makes sense to you, doesn't necessarily mean that something was sensible in the first place.

Habitually programming the same old nonsense into our children is one of humanities biggest flaws.

One could easily say that you are just as haughtily theistic.

Well, as far as my own personally acquired and stored database is aware, everything makes good enough sense to me.

Inquisitive Man was asking questions, but could not find the answers.

So he created Gods as answers. It's pretty simple and makes absolute sense.

The fact that people such as yourself still get programmed with all the old non-sensical stuff is just the way that certain information is habitually transferred within certain communities.

There's nothing to understand per se.

All that you are doing is organising acquired and stored data in one particular way.

And then coming up with an assumption.

If the acquired data is non-sensical then the assumption is likely to be non-sensical too.

The immorality of sex was definitely mentioned.

if God invented the system then why do mere mortals think that they can define the rules of the system?

Why design a system that depends on sexual intercourse. If sexual intercourse is subsequently deemed to be immoral.

Would your God be that stupid.

All that the faithless require is proof.

What could be a more reasonable than that?

The bottom line is; you cannot prove that God exists, no matter how much you scream and shout the opposite.

2. Humans are afraid of suffering and non-existence. (Death is an instant)

3. If God existed he/she would be a whole lot cleverer and more sensible than we give him/her credit for.

Tell me:

If your solution is so perfect; then  why hasn't The U.S. slowly worked it's way South and North, invading and assimilating as it went. Thus creating the perfect American Super Continent?

Why waste all that time, effort and resources in the Middle East region, achieving temporary mayhem and ensuing chaos?

Look at what happened in Korea and Indochina. The U.S. didn't account for itself very well there.

I would suggest that you over-estimate U.S. capability somewhat.

I definitely haven't dismissed anything out right.

I'm also fully prepared to take on board other peoples data offerings and alter my point of view if necessary.

I cannot prove that a God doesn't exist. So therefore I would never dismiss the God theory/hypothesis out of hand.

As you cannot prove the existence of a God. Would you be prepared to accept that you are just as likely to be incorrect as you are to be correct?

If not; then I would suggest that it is you who is the obstinate one.

For Man needed answers when there were none.

I would suggest that A.I. or Other Intelligence (Isn't intelligence just intelligence?) will inevitably have to take control one day.

It's perhaps a bit arrogant to assume that humanity is the evolutionary ultimate.

Who knows what the purpose or the limits of material development are?

Maybe we are just a phase of the process and will soon have reached our zenith.

The U.S.is desperately looking for a reason to intervene in Iranian sovereign affairs. So blowing a few holes in oil tankers and then blaming Iran makes perfect sense.
