So do the executioners become less valuable?

Or are the heroes?

But let's be honest, for most folk an execution is a titillating headline...And then carry on with the daily routine...Such is morality.

Trump suffers from cognitive decline; the democratic candidate does not
-->
@TheUnderdog
At 78, Trump will inevitably be declining in both mind and body.

Thankfully, sleepy Joe has stepped down.

The thing about cognition is, if one starts from a low cognitive state, then one doesn't decline so noticeably.

We see this in Trump and his red hat brigade.

Incidentally, my wife commented that Trump looked less orange and his hair was slightly less wacky.

Society decides upon guidelines and associated rules.

The Underdog proposes their own set of guidelines and rules.

The reality is that 99.9% of the population has a selectively moral attitude towards living matter.

Another reality is...Certain sub-groups hold biased ideological opinions.

The ultimate reality is...There is no greater Universal authority...Though certain ideologically biased sub-groups would unquestioningly disagree .

I would simply suggest that the status of a dividing cellular mass, increases over time.

In that respect I can be both pro-choice and pro-life, especially considering that I am one of the 99.9%.

Trans children should be allowed to be the gender they want to be.
-->
@Mall
You took the first line of my post, and went off at a tangent, to make the somewhat unrelated point that certain issues can indeed be unequivocally resolved with a yes or no answer.

And ignored everything else relative to an issue that you raised, wherein there is no definitive answer.

For sure, if one is opinionated then one might unquestioningly respond negatively or positively.

Whereas relative to the issue, I am aware that there is no definitive explanation available. Therefore all arguments are valid, and  YES or NO are not feasible options.

So if you desperately require a YES or NO response, I would suggest that the best question to ask relative to "trans", is:

Q. Do you fully understand everything about current transsexualism trends?

A. No.

Do you Mall?

I'm not a Yes or No person.

I'm a moderate and tend to look at things from several perspectives.

All that I will say is:

The current trans trend seems to be an unnecessary human social development.

But would it occur if it wasn't necessary?

To answer that question truthfully, would be to know the meaning of everything.

Assuming that there is a meaning to everything.

If not then nothing matters anyway.

So if kids want to wear tin hats and call themselves spanner brain, then they might as well do so.

@TheUnderdog
Realistically.

Sex at any time after puberty is normal.

And marriage is nothing more than a social contract.

Keeping fit and eating and drinking healthily is the best way to improve both physical and mental health.

Plus a bit of  a common sense approach to life, especially as all the appropriate data is readily available.

Religion is a make believe thing.

And abortion is a medical or surgical option, should one get naturally excited and temporarily abandon common sense.

Natural bodily excitement is pre-programmed you know.

Of course you do, hence that pile of jizzy tissues on the bedroom floor.

@Mall
Children are subjected to social trend and will respond accordingly.

A developing human organism doesn't know what "trans" is, until it is programmed with the relevant data.

Just as it does not understand it's internal sexual chemistry until it has develop accordingly, both in terms of physiology and intellect.

I would suggest that societies have developed, already allowing children access to the relevant data.

So when it occurs, they just interpret internal signalling relative to social trend.

And liberal societies have decided that this is OK.

I'm not sure that this is a good thing.

But why would it be a bad thing.

Maybe it is inevitable.

Maybe trends will change.

Though the rod of iron will only incite resentment and not solve anything.

The rod of iron has unsuccessfully attempted to oppress sexuality for millennia.

To late, the data is already out there.

As is the medical and surgical potential.

As are the necessary programmed adults.

The problem with not homeschooling your child
-->
@DavidAZZ
I think that modern social expectation relative to intellectual ability has changed greatly over the past few decades.

Thanks in the main to technological development.

Though statistically, I would suggest that today there is similar ratio of clever to less clever "kids" as there was 50 years ago.

(Nonetheless most "dumb kids" are still able to master basic technological skills).

I would suggest that education per se, is largely unchanged.

But modern education has now to conform to a generally  less strict social system, in terms of social interaction between the adult and the child.

So maybe some kids are just inclined to be apathetic, despite the education systems best efforts to teach.

And for sure, a lack of parental control and encouragement doesn't help.

If You Have a Random Thought, Post it Here.
Well...Random thoughts.

Islam is a system of social control, maintained through formative and ongoing programming.

And has been the same for generations, so perhaps your parents were not really to blame...Just victims of a system.

You were perhaps more fortunate to be of a generation that had greater access to alternative information, in a place with a slightly more liberalised world view.

Though I merely speculate from a very liberally conditioned UK perspective.

As I see it, human beings are self propelled organic computing devices that function according to programming.

How we communicate and/or interact with other devices is similarly defined.

Love, friendship and intimacy are consequential, and therefore variable I suppose.

Whether by chance or for a purpose, I have know idea.

I wish you well and a contented life.

Is slavery just as bad or worst than abortion?
-->
@Mall
I was just speaking in general too.

And generally speaking, slavery is worse than abortion.

But yes, a more extreme abortion scenario would perhaps momentarily be worse than a slavery event.

But who for...The participants or the spectators.

So here's a couple of questions for you.

1. Which is worse?

The mental anguish of a slave.

Or the mental anguish of an anti-abortionist.

2. At what point of cellular division, is a developing human capable of experiencing mental anguish?

@MarkWebberFan2
I was always taught that one makes friends ("deep connections") when one is young, and acquaintances when one is older.

And in my opinion, new acquaintances should be respected (if they are deserving of respect) but not relied upon.

I also think that we are all inherently selfish to a certain degree.

And the word "cherish" is perhaps a bit too slushy for me.

Don't get me wrong though, I am acquainted with a lot of reasonable people.

Though these days I only really have "deep connections" to my immediate family.

"Insecurities". Now there's an acquired  state of mind that can certainly be taken advantage of.

So beware the stranger in the bookshop bearing gifts of deep connection.
