Case closed, vote pro.
Con used "the" in R2.
Con was arrogant throughout, throwing Round 1 in an intentional manner, saying he doesn't need to try.
It was this same lack of respect for his opponent that led him to type 'e' in Round 2. He still could have won by saying he didn't 'use' the word, just typed it as it wasn't truly relevant to his point. He also could still win by pushing for 'will' and denying that he will, since he already has. I'm sure the majority of voters of this site wouldn't reqard those win conditions but it would be how he could win in my eyes at least.
"Resolved: In this debate, Con will use at least one word that contains the letter "E""
CON used the letter E in the word "the..."
Ergo, as a voter I consider the conditions of a PRO victory fulfilled, despite Intelligence's objection that PRO did not fulfill the BoP that "in all instances CON will use E."
(I think that would be an abusive BoP to impose on PRO, and I also think that Intelligence is making his own argumentation within his vote to come to such a conclusion)
This is surprisingly borderline, however after a delay pro did catch con using the... Crap, I can't even write a RFD without using E, but kudos to con for only slipping once during an actual debate, and minorly at that. Still, on one of these puzzle debates, once is enough.
I will note that I disliked pro's tactic of pointing to con's username, but on this type of debate stirring things up to try to unbalance an opponent is to be expected (no way would I vote arguments for that).
Well this skewed vote certainly looks as weird as a living dinosaur in New Jersey.
Arguments: Pro literally gave up proving that Con won't use an E in R2. Even though Con used it for one single time, it is not until rounds after Pro had picked it up, which Pro never proved that Con won't, just that Con is more likely to use it than to not.
Sources: No sources needed, no point given.
S&G: Con failed to fulfill his expected S&G by saying a single E in one of his arguments.
Conduct: tie, both did pretty well.
I like this debate a lot.
As an intelligent person, I can see where he cimes from too; trolling.
that said, if you want to appeal the decision, the voting mods can review it for you.
I disagree with the vote as well, but as a rational person I can see where Intelligence was coming from. His line of thought is that the resolution states that CON definitely WILL use the letter E in all cases. PRO didn't prove that they will in all cases. In fact, PRO did little proving at all. Instead, CON made a blunder. So despite CON using the letter E, PRO's BoP is still unfulfilled.
Again, not my opinion, but as a rational line of reasoning, it fulfills the voting requirements.
It was a "bypass" argument for a debate like this one that I used. Like a "hint" as how to bypass the resolution and still win the argument.

yay RM's back
@RM (can't even @ you, smh)
This is a debating site, and it is about whose arguments are better. Pro literally gave up debating because his arguments are either "Con will probably use the letter E" or "Con used the letter E", but never the resolution. a good debater can prove why National Bolshevism should be utilized in this world in wide practice. Just because you are right doesn't mean you automatically win.
You allowed a vote for a literal factual debate that lies about who won. Lmao.
Out of curiosity, what was the comment you deleted?

>Reason for Mod Action: While I completely disagree with their decision, users are allowed to assign points in any way they see fit as long as they adhere to DART voting guidelines. There are some exceptions, such as cases that are so blatantly unfair no rational person can approve of it, but otherwise our interpretive ability is severely handicapped.
Anyway, this vote met the bare minimum of voter requirements.
Ah, you were so close.
A for effort, but I goofed.
This'll tank my points for sure.
You were cocky. It's happened to me. I would probably be higher on the leaderboard if I had thought a few debates through more thoroughly. Thanks for playing though!
sorry, i dunno what i was thinking when i started this debate
This one seems kind of easy for CON
Ha! You fool, I can simply act chary about words I pick to use. Wait, shit, I said the letter! Oh no, I said it four times!!! OH GOD, OH FUCK
I really want to see how this turns out.
Okay........ i did
shush, don't reveal the obvious! Delete the previous comment.
Censoring it still counts as using it, and the original version will contain the letter E.
If Jewish ppl can write "God" as "G-d", why don't expect you to do similarly?
yes.
are you suuuure about that?
I bet $1,000 on Con.
I will do it.
