Description

It seems that christianity is the only religion to encompass all the moral problems of one's soul and convert it into a just logic of cosmogonical organization. A good historical example of that was the concept of compassion - something that seems unthinkable to someone from archaic period. Taking Homer's Illiad heroes as examples, the paradigms of an greek archaic society, they are presented as proud men, being valued by tehir physical power only.
The figure of Jesus, in the other hand, presented the figure of a man in a vulnerable position as symbol of power for the first time in history. This symbol perfectly represents what christianity pursues - humility, forgiviness, love and compassion - isn't it what guides social conduct nowadays? Isn't it the virtues that, for example, all heroes in fiction have? Or the virtues people try to mimic when they want to look good in other people's eyes?
It seems to me that only in christianity we can see this characteristic - no other religion in history before had a character like Jesus, someone who forgivess a prostitute or is represented as someone who loves his enemies.

Reason:

Actually there 'was compassion in the Iliad,
I don't know how 'much,
But I 'do remember one piece,
Priam tearfully supplicates Achilles, begging for Hector’s body. He asks Achilles to think of his own father, Peleus, and the love between them. Achilles weeps for his father and for Patroclus. He accepts the ransom and agrees to give the corpse back.

Jesus 'does have a lot of that consideration for others though,
In his teaching,
And such can make for a functional society.

Seeing on how notoraot isn't there for the rest of the debate though,
Intelligence_06's argument noting that other religions hold their own cultures and societies together as well.
Never get's refuted,
Might have bee hard to refute such an argument,
But notoraot was gone.
Thus loses out in conduct and argument.
