What are you doing to prepare for an actual disaster, if not WWIII?

As of late, there have been many natural and manufactured crises going on in America.
With heightened tensions with China, North Korea, and Russia...war is not impossible and could very well be highly probable if the democrats keep running America into the ground and flushing freedom down the toilet.

So, what have you been doing to prepare?

Better to have and not need, then need and not have.

I think americans shouldn't worry about that. I would be worried about europeans, they are so fucked up that I foresee a massive migration of them to America. Seriously.

Nothing, since a WWIII would be likely to end with everyone nuking each other.

To let true freedom flourish I think America should deregulate everything. Republicans have done such a great job, the only thing holding them back are the Democrats and their socialist billionaire funders. I think that’s the only way to beat China.

America is full of Europeans already.

I think that the Founding Fathers were mostly European.

So you start the clock today and you are American.

It's all in the DNA though.

Can't take the European out of the European American.

Just like you cant take the human out of the human.

And me.

I'm 63 and post apocalypse doesn't seem worth worrying about.

I would prefer if war doesnt happen.

If it does happen and if I am lucky enough to have all the nukes miss me, I would still be in a tricky situation.

I would probably have to move somewhere else. When the government collapses, people organize into gangs and rob everyone. So I would have to move away from everything. Maybe dig a hole in a forest and live there.

Another problem would be food, since in a nuclear war the entire food production would collapse. Having fishing equipment to do fishing and guns to hunt would be good. Alternatively, one can resort to fruit, nuts, insects, wild edibles and whatever you find that you know is edible. Some species even consume soil from time to time.

The biggest problem would be water that would be likely radioactive or polluted.

I don't think Russia poses too big of a threat, because of the fact that they can't even take down Ukraine, and almost 150,000 Russian soldiers have died because of the attack.

China does worry me more, though but with NATO, and all of our allies, it shouldn't be that big of a problem.

We definitely are going into WW3 in the next 10 years no doubt, but I don't think we need to prepare for doomsday.

For the same reason lots of europeans migrated to the US during wwii.

I'm just waiting for the collapse of the american economy, you know, the stock market crash that would start the wwiii.

Eh, mother buys and stores long lasting food and water
Eldest brother owns a few guns,

Who knows, West coast might be due for a earthquake,
Good to have food supplies, if supply lines get disrupted, power goes out.

As I stated.

America (and Canada) were/are essentially Western Europe.

Save for a few non-indigenous indigenes, who are in fact East Asians.

And others who were brought over from Africa, who also assimilated into American Neo-European culture.

Let's be honest.

The World's full of people, because people have always been migratory.

And people also have a propensity for making maps and sticking labels on them.

This is here and that is there

And you are thus labelled because.

In WW2 it would have made sense, as America was logistically unlikely to be invaded and was well out of range of the German air force. WW3 however with nuclear transcontinental missiles, America would be number one target. Australia or New Zealand would probably be the best options.

There is no savinggrace-areas on Earth, if nukes start flying, as the dust in atmosphere will cease all food production from lack of sun and cold temps year round.

Woke = enlightenment = knowledge-able = ecological integrity, that, sustains humanity, or what few would remain after hydrogen bombs have fallen, for some relative short period of time.

Is it social justice if humans save themselves. or destroy themselves? Maybe its ecological justice and needs a differrent label other than ' woke '.

' Wake : 2.dialect•Irish
hold a vigil beside (someone who has died). '

But hey, as Zed points out, eventually we all die, and humanity taking itself, out instead of waiting for sun to become a red giant is an option, intentionally or not. How many fingers on how many humans does it take to fire off the first hydrogen bomb?

Yes, you are probably right, perhaps the best option wouldbe being vaporised in a nuclear blast. When you are dead nothing matters.

I don't get your complain, if it's really a complain. I didnt intend to label anything, I'm just trying to predict something that already happened which is the massive migration of europeans to America during and after wwii.

When I say America I mean all America, including Canada and Latin America. Brasil and Argentina were countries that recieved migration of italians and germans, for example.

see sadolites #11 post for that entry.

How many fingers on how many humans does it take to fire off the first hydrogen bomb? In submarines it may take less. Recall the submarine movie with Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington? ' Crimson  Tide ' is definite nail biter for sure as it only takes a few fingers on a couple of hands.

Fair point, I live in the UK and we think of America as being the US, possibly because the people from there are called Americans and we think of them as being named after their country. I suppose they should really be called United Statesians.

No complain.

Just saying, that as far as the Americas go everyone is a migrant of some sort.

And specifically, the USA founded in 1776 by European Settlers/Migrants.

10,000 BC >> 50 million humans on Earth
Humans in northern continents  --whiteys-- were forced to be more creative in the techniques for survival in harsher climates and shorter growing seasons.

1900 >> 1.6 billion humans
Then along came industrial revolution

1940 >> 2.3 billion humans
It was a competition between whiteys in north, to  invent atomic bomb.

1980 >> 4.5 billion humans
Then along came the digital revolution.

2019 >> 7.7 billion humans
Then came the 60 million strong, orange cult of Trumpeteers {  Walking-Brain-Dead } with their hand on Bible, marching toward their promise of their promised land { make it orange and make it great again }

2050 >> projected 9.7 billion humans { presumption of human existence }

Plenty of food and a big coat if you live North.

Plenty of weed, water and love if you move to the desert.

And don't forget to take your guns.

Because every mad arsed American will be doing the same.

Probably more chance of being hit by an AR15 than an AK47.

Everyone in foxholes believe in God. Let us pray

How to prepare for unknown future.  There animation episode in the "Love Death and Robots" on Netflix, wherein their leading  tourists around showing all of these alternative sheltered enviroments people created for post apocalyptic survival. Ex former underground hydrogen bomb shelters.

The last one they show is the concept Elon Musk would have built in this futuristic scenario

Where there's dope there's a heightened state of detachment from reality.

That's assuming that normal isn't a reduced sense of attachment to reality.

The assumption being that normal is what we think it is.

Which could lead one to conclude, that normal is as normal does at any given moment.

depression <<<  neutral  >>> euphoria

Wasn't it you who stated:

1}  We possess the ability to observe and internally reinterpret what we assume to observe. and

2} Internally creating a simulation of what we confidently assume that we observe externally.

That's assuming that normal isn't a reduced sense of attachment to reality.
Again Zed comments:
1}  We possess the ability to observe and internally reinterpret what we assume to observe. and

2} Internally creating a simulation of what we confidently assume that we observe externally.

The assumption being that normal is what we think it is.
When the normal feel and observed to be extra-ordinary we feel a connected to a wholistic set of all that exists ergo, in perfection with the whole Universe.

If you can watch the Netflix doc, by Michal Poulan titled ' How To Change Your Mind '. There are many kinds of substances on Earth and humans have tried many in everyday for nutriontional health which includes mental health.  Some substances are benificial and  well documented

Which could lead one to conclude, that normal is as normal does at any given moment.
Zeds mentor is forrest gump, as I recall from conversations we had a year or so ago.

Again Zed comments:
1}  We possess the ability to observe and internally reinterpret what we assume to observe.....and

2} Internally creating a simulation of what we confidently assume that we observe externally.

Ergo reality is what each of us make of it, to some degree, and the reality in fox holes is that many choose to believe in and pray { hope } to God that they do not have a bomb drop on them or maybe other worse mutilated for life.

The reality is chances of either varying with circumstances of foxholes or other
