You do not have a right to preemptively murder ever.
It's killing, not murder, when it is justified.
Sure you do, when someone's planning to violate your rights and killing them is the only way to stop them.
You have a right to in heat of moment accidentally do so.
Doesn't have to be an accident.
As in, admitting premeditation of it even if it was after a rape begins to count as 2nd degree murder and at the very least as 1st degree manslaughter.
It's a mistrial if I'm on the jury is what it is.
It is unwise to throw around your false legal advice on here.
It was a moral statement, not legal advise.
My practical advise is that if you kill someone whose trying to rape or murder you in a forest where nobody would find the body, don't go to the cops. Not worth the risk.
If it is up to me you will get banned
If it were up to me your brain would work better. We don't always get what we want.
talking about ways to commit rape or 'justifiable' murder and get away with it is a sign of a sick mind.
Are your pearls nice and safe?

What makes you think they are more likely to kill in a forest than they are when they rape you at home or in the street?
There are very stupid people, but for the most part when someone does something they know is illegal they have a plan to get away with it.
It's a lot easier to get away with it in a forest with no witnesses.
If the perp didn't cover his face he's an idiot.
One of six suspects in the December attack was found dead in a New Delhi jail this past week. Authorities said he hanged himself, but his family and lawyer insisted foul play was involved.
This is why only an idiot commits a serious crime and leaves witnesses alive.
Paywalled
No. I would not kill him before, during, or after the rape.
You would have the right to.

To my knowledge none. How many rapists do you know?
Making it painful is fine. Pain does not mean death.
Yea it does if it's intentional. I'm saying the only kind of rapist who wouldn't kill the witness (the victim) is the delusional kind.
I don't know why you would do that.
Kill the rapist? You can't think of any reason?
There are worse things in the world.
There are better things that I would still kill someone for rather than a near certainty that they would escape justice and attack again.
It is a grown woman in this scenario, not a child.
Oh well then fine, rape away what is the big deal. Whatever framework of values you're standing on, I'm not (so you are going to have to explain yourself).

If he made it clear that he was going to use force if you said no, yea.Maybe we should not say no.
Everything depends on context, how well do you know this person? If you know he is a serial rapist it might not be worth the risk to refuse at all.
If it is a stranger, and I think that is the scenario, then chances are polite "no" is going to work 99%+ of the time, it's a safe opening move.
If you don't say no at any point and no threats are made you're (objectively) consenting, so at that point you're just saying you're so afraid of the <1% chance of being raped that you decided to actually consent. Up to the individual, but it casts no blame on the stranger.
BUT pretending to change your mind is the best strategy to live to tell the police. This would be a lie. A man would be able to tell it isn't real.
Oh naivete is thou name.
Some rapist are turned on by lack of consent, consenting would turn them off or they would try to make it painful. No hope there.
Others are delusional, constantly revising history and the present to convince themselves that the other person wants it. <- That's who you'd be fooling, and it wouldn't take great acting skills it's what they want to believe so badly they're out of touch with reality.
What would you tell the police if you don't know his name or have license plate? “A man in the forest raped me, but I pretended to change my mind. I have no idea what his name is or where he is from.”
Well even if you can't get justice, you survive. Like ratman said, DNA is possible but wouldn't be enough to prove anything. Still making reports is important for context in future suspicion.
It's also much more likely you can get justice yourself (kill the guy) if his guard is down.

Necessary for homosexuals. Do you have any idea how many fagots are willing to pay for a remedy to their faggotry? Countless.
Sounds like its necessary for someone's pocketbook :)
What is it that you think it's needed to start off a research like that, besides the money?
We need a neural map accurate enough to identify and reproduce patterns associated with sexuality, we need to be able to track its history through developmental years, then we can comparatively analyze millions of brains to identify the error.
Finally to correct it we need to be able to (certainly) cut specific neuron bridges and (highly likely) connect others.
The solution is also the solution to mind control of most kinds, and there is every reason to be terrified of it in the wrong hands. People can't even trust a little mRNA right now.
It's also way beyond us and if I had to pick a technology which would make this possible it would be nano robotics in most brains from a young age.
I think it's possible.
It must be possible. The energy requirements must be low. No laws of physics need to be broken. The systems may be enormously complicated but certainly within the capacity of realistic computers to model.
It's just engineering and patient analysis, which could still take a long time.
I have the feeling that it's something hormonal, related to the food, the water or some other thing that makes the body be unbalanced.
You might hope there is a single hormone or pheromone that would do the job, but there is no way to know if that is the case and it's unlikely given how impossible it has been to strongly correlate factors to find the 'cause' of homosexuality (or any deviancy).
For example if everybody got perverted after 1920 you could hope that maybe some fertilizer or pesticide is responsible... but we know that's not the case. Homosexuality (and other deviancy) is found in every human race, in every culture, in every time.
Prevalence seems to go up and down, but that can be explained by culture far better than a magic chemical that goes up and down.
It's ubiquitous, which is not to say it's not an error; but it's not a simple error. Like cancer.
How many things cause cancer or might be associated with cancer? A lot, a common error mode in response to many causes through many pathways. You might say a common vulnerability or proneness towards a certain kind of error.
For example in the US the incidence of autism is increasing dangerously, that's defenitely something related to what Americans consume.
See, that's an example with the evidence supports the novel contaminant hypothesis much better.

That is correct.I see. The IDF didnt choose to genocide for 1.5 years.
Also there was, is, and very likely will be no genocide (unless Hamas/Iran somehow win).
They trapped them. No way out
Except for Egypt, and the mediterranean sea, or stopping the terrorists from building rocket artillery and then lobbing it into civilian sectors for more than 10 months at a time.
Also, even if they did imprison them, abduction is not murder so it can't be genocide.
genocide is not the new way to say "bad", not if I have anything to say about it. Just as with "consent", "inflation", "man", and "woman" there are redefinition I reject because they are used to equivocate and subvert.
Try living like that while
The Germans and Japanese did live like that for a while after the allies bombed them into the stone age. War isn't fun, especially when you're losing. That's why it's very important not to be morally responsible for starting them.
You are in the wrong here.
Well you aren't proving it.
Save yourself more shame and shut up.

I love stories with xenofiction and in that category I love stories with dragons, specifically dragons who are intelligent and make choices like humans do.
In stories the point isn't to have only heroes and only villains, but to explore how both interact and how people become one or another.
Stories where dragons are the devil, a mindless monster, are less interesting. The hobbit for example is an awesome book, but if it was just Smaug being evil and nothing else it wouldn't be.
What does the idea of the dragon mean in these stories? It represents power, and the reason I find them most interesting when their minds are human-like is because that combination forms a symbol.
The sapient dragon (in a world full of beings weaker than him) represents the human being with unique power. When a man has no power he can be good or evil in his heart, but there is a limit to the good and evil he can do in the world. Plenty of interesting stories to tell about that, but it isn't the big picture without powerful people.
They're so powerful that to deprive them of liberty takes a concerted effort of many. Do they deserve that deprivation? Is power itself a sin or is the sin in the abuse of power? etc...
...
What you describe in the OP is like a good sapient dragon story with the meaning ripped out.
"Draconian has no any moral system."
"Draconian has no any moral system."
Physics has no moral system, but it matters because reality exists and behaves that way. Dragons aren't real. The devil isn't real. Lilith, lucifer, arachne, and set are not real. Nobody needs a religion to tell them that "knowledge is power and power means something or other so figure it out."
Frankly, it wouldn't even be an interesting book; which is not to say that plenty haven't tried to make books (and TV shows) that have no theme and no coherent explanation for what happens.
A religion is essentially a story, a story that people love so much that they start to believe its real. I can easily see how the great religions of the world became great. They all have very good stories behind them.
I can also see why whatever the hec this is is not a great religion.

I define suicide as (one of) the most broken things someone can do.
You go to some stupid lengths to prove a point. This means you are more normal and ordinary than think.
I never said I was broken, I never said I was perfect. I have values and I have convictions, application is complicated. That's the closet to whole a real person can be.

They weren't satanistTheir Gods were Satanic. Sinners and pleasure lovers.
Ayn Rand wrote a book called "the virtue of selfishness"
That was one of the worst branding decisions in history. When people are using a word as a cart for their entire conceptual framework's idea of evil, you don't go trying to commandeer that cart as your ideal.
I understand what she was saying, I understand what you're saying, that they have it all wrong and that what they call evil isn't; but you still are going to lose on branding.
She had a different philosophy from them entirely. She never had to use the word "selfish", she needed to say that is a word that only has significance in their incomplete philosophy.
I am giving you the benefit of the doubt (barely) that you and these so called satanist have an idea that pleasure is good and should be indulged in save for compelling moral or practical reasons to abstain.
I can agree to that.
I will never call that "sin" or "satanism".
Let those who condemn give their reasons, use their labels, I won't validate their framework.
Furthermore their gods, the gods of the ancient Greeks, were not always ideals to live up to but representations of vast abstractions in nature and society. They had their good pleasure loving gods and they had plenty of gods who did terrible things seeking pleasure or revenge or any number of human temptations.
Zeus was a rapist. Thor was a rapist.
They were worshiped for their power and the fact that they represented a very real force in humanity, they were not idolized for their morality.
That's nice, let's start with the knowledge that satan doesn't existBut Satanists do exist.
and I don't identify with people who are defined by believing in things that don't exist.
The world is more than religion. Religion is a tumor which can take over fields of philosophy, but not alwaysWell, you would prefer religion which supports much more freedom over one which doesnt?
Sure, but I doubt satanism is one of those. More like hedonism with the admixture of mysticism and probably above average concentration of sociopaths.
Freedom is freedom from other human beings. From their aggression, their lies, the consequences of their irrationality.
A religion that teaches people to be aggressive and dishonest in the pursuit of power and pleasure is only freedom for the most cunning or strongest.
If you're about to say "but that's not what satanism is!"
Well I don't really care what sect or version you believe in, the general theme will attract people looking for that. Satanism isn't going anywhere. It will always be a tiny parasite. If Christianity shrinks, it will shrink.
There is no reason for me to think too hard about it at all.

Heaven is not freedom from all desire but I know that Catholicism specifically has ties to Buddhist ideas. Buddhism evolved later as an offshoot of Hinduism that became its own thing. By that time Catholicism and orthodox thinking was already known of in North India way before later colonisation.
Sir, you're five hundred years off.
Buddhism is 500 BC, not AD.
You can see them regard him as very enlightened, even Dalai Lama says so.
Yes, but that's not because they see him as god. They see him as one of them. The order of events allows them to claim that Jesus learned dharma in his early adulthood, the inverse flow of ideas to what you just suggested is possible though lacking convincing evidence besides the similarity in some ideas.
In Heaven we are given new bodies and may even be able to enkoy food and drink there.
May? Are you drowning in maybes?
If the reward of heaven is to indulge in desires then the evil is not in urges but urges that require repression.
So it seems that you do not know if you wish to be free of your urges either.

Some cooler than others. The magic invoked by the bible and the story of Buddha or the volsung is much cooler than clowns who talk about occult satanismBut if you were to live in a world full of Satanism or full of Bible stuff, which would you choose?
Not if it was first.
Are there any Satanists who judged you for your interests?
Does that matter?
Did Ancient Greece judge your interests?
1.) Humans always judge, the balance of evidence says the Greeks and many others in the classical were more rational and fair than people are today; which is not to say they were fans. Most probably thought it was weird and gross but they did not see it as cheating or abhorrent.
2.) They weren't satanist, satanism hadn't been invented.
The Satanic triad is: liberation, knowledge, power.
That's nice, let's start with the knowledge that satan doesn't exist, magic doesn't exist, reality exists and it is not changed by thought alone.
You can say Satanism was born out of Bible, but it was born to defeat the Bible.
Satanism is on the soccer pitch shooting on its own goal and saying "actually the team with the most own goals wins".
That's not beating soccer, that's acting a fool on the field made by soccer fans. It will never beat soccer because it will always be on a soccer field.
But polytheism existed before Christianity
Polytheism is a category of religion. Satanism did not exist before christianity and the only thing it has to do with pre-christian religion is the same kind of bastardization that it does to christian doctrine.
and good example of that is ancient Greece which had more freedom during its time than Christianity did 1000 years later.
The world is more than religion. Religion is a tumor which can take over fields of philosophy, but not always.
Any enlightenment or freedom the ancients had, it was no thanks to the priests of Zeus or Jupiter (or even Athena). Instead thank Aristotle, Socrates, Plato, and hundreds more in that vein.
Furthermore don't lose sight of two things when comparing the classical period to modern cultures:
1.) Most social structures arose from random chance and ossified as tradition and nurture. Their presence or lack is not necessarily connected with any other development. If you went back in time and asked a tolerant ancient greek why they don't want to execute homosexuals or zoosexuals they would most likely answer "why would I want to in the first place?"
That the stories of the greek religion left no room for blanket condemnation is an accident of history, nothing more.
2.) Some parts of their culture were more rational or liberal, not all. Though they are the precursors of modern western civilization, their various cultures would still be alien to us in many ways.
People who know history know it was a very good thing they won. They may have slavery and blood sport and pederasty, but the other guy was sacrificing children to their evil gods.
The real moral of the story is: Religion is not a reliable guide.

The world of satanism is the world of bible stuff. That's what I'm saying.
The people who say "wait actually satan is a nice guy who wants you to have fun" are fan fiction writers, like the people who keep ruining every beloved franchise with remakes that undermine the original work.
A trustworthy benevolent satin is just a replacement god, and at the same time the god of the bible is a liar; there are no good answers here.
A better question is whether I would like to have an adventure with Jesus or with Loki, and the answer is definitely Jesus. People like Loki are fun in stories and terrible in real life.

Magic is fantasyOkay. But its still cool?
Yes
Some cooler than others. The magic invoked by the bible and the story of Buddha or the volsung is much cooler than clowns who talk about occult satanism.
The old Germanic religion for example evolved long in the crucible of human existence. However silly or abhorrent it may seem at times, there are deep truths in it, (as in all true art). Those truths weren't as powerful as the ones in the bible, but they are still there.
satanism didn't exist before christianity, it's a shadowy parasite of simple minded contrarians. It contains no truth. It is not cool. It's cringe.

I would suggest that the very purpose of a Department of Government Efficiency is to autocratically strip a governmental system of waste and inefficiency.
You can't just prefix a concept with a contradictory adjective and call it a day. It can be claimed that reducing government secrecy and thus power is beyond a certain office's authority; but no matter who does it or why, it is the opposite of the conditions autocracy requires.

It was sarcasm.
DOGE = department of governmental efficiency
Exists solely to audit the government and publish everything it finds
That's as close to the opposite of autocracy or fascism or any other highly centralized highly invasive state that can exist without guillotines being involved.
Autocrats, fascists, nazis, communists, all want unquestioning obedience from the public and loyalty among the party/government officials. That's how you run a top down system.
To facilitate that, government secrets become routine and sacred. Audits and critiques become threats to the state and thus the nation.
DOGE and all decentralization and transparency agendas sacrifice loyalty of government officials (and their corrupt partners) for earned loyalty among the public.

Everyone who hasn't wrecked their soul is something of an artist and something of a philosopher.I thought you only believe in what is real? What is real is what can be seen. Where is your soul?
Force fields are real, but they can only be seen by inference.
All knowledge is indirectly observed but knowledge of one's own mind. This is a tired long debunked argument.
My soul is a property of my mind. Neural science is not 1% of the way to where it would need to be in order to give any other information except that it must exist somehow and that it is a section of the subconscious foundation upon which the ego and the id operate, it regulates the interaction of conscious and subconscious value systems through the ego and id.
A man with a broken soul loves nothing, not even life. These are the people who commit suicide. I believe it is a common misconception that suicide is caused by people who can't stand the pain, but that would fail to explain the people who underwent horrible tortures such as in concentration camps and yet were unbroken.
Says the guy who was acting as an agent of a universal god five minutes ago....I'm a girl.
Oh well, then clearly you are an avatar of god. Carry on.
I would not need to if you read the Bible.
I have read the bible, and significant parts of the koran, and the writings of buddha and a bit of zoroastrianism and that pagan revival stuff based on old germanic beliefs (the poetic eda and volsung).
His work exists everywhere. Can you see it?
What I don't see is a post from god on this thread. If he wanted to say something here, he could have; instead you got it into your head that even though "his work is everywhere" he forgot to post here so you would do it for him.

The stone parable was literal, it was about death penalty.
How would you know, are you Jesus? Did you ask him?
Also that wasn't a parable. The claim is that Jesus did that, not that he told a story about it.
Admittedly and regrettably Catholic regimes early on ignored this and executed criminals and heretics.
Failure of faith or failure of reason?
If faith was reliable the spirit would have prevented them.
Neither faith nor reason is defined as "whatever people who claim to believe in those things do", BUT reason can be reviewed to see if it was sound but the faith of a man's heart CANNOT.
I am solely 'better than' you in that I battle my sinful nature and you embrace yours.
I am solely 'better than you' in that I demand reasons for beliefs, both my own and others.
Reason, if it were a god, is a jealous one. The fundamental sin in reason is contradiction.
Under the laws of reason, derived from non-contradiction, your sin is faith. So you are the one embracing sin, while I battle unfounded beliefs and irrational behaviors.
I am a sinner. I lash out, am too lazy at times, I lust, I lie.I am that. I sin. Yes. At my core I fail regularly to be pure. I am saved not though faith alone but also from the routines, rituals and thus the entire scheme of good works.
This isn't a confessional.
You need to cry. Literally cry with how sick and regretful you are for your past. Let the shame and disgust be felt.
I have, but not for the failings you imagine.
Try it.
You first. Kneel before my god. Pour your heart out. Promise to change. Only then will you see.
Do I not ask the impossible?
In reason one can test an idea without believing in it, but one cannot take faith for a test ride.
The moment you dare test your imaginary god, your faith will die and if you do not find reason you will find some other unreliable guide. Nothing I can say can force you to take that step, it was explicitly forbidden in your human-made scripture. You believe that if you would dare do such a thing all that follows is your corruption. So you can't take that first step, to you it is the sheer edge of a cliff.
So too with reason. Of course I can entertain a hypothesis about god, analyze it, look at the arguments; but that's not faith. That's deism as a rational theory. I cannot surrender my trust in reason; even for an instant without losing it and myself entirely.

Actually since some vegans more so but also vegetarians see animals as people, they are potentially more prone to bestiality, though obviously I presume no data on that is had and I don't care.
He didn't say that vegetarians tend to be against bestiality, he said you needed to be one to talk against it.
As in only vegetarians can do so without being hypocrites. Of course that isn't precisely true. It depends on the reason one gives. Only vegetarians can claim that protecting the autonomy of non-humans is their reason without hypocrisy.
If you're claiming that god whispered to you or somebody three thousand years ago, no hypocrisy; just insanity.

Some are more important to me than others, some I am sure are the root of my continued drive to live. To see a problem solved with an elegant machine or algorithm gives me the most profound pleasure.
If I had never felt it, I could not miss it; but if I was transformed now into someone who remembered it but could not feel it, that would be a tragedy.
Some urges, such as my love for dairy and sugar are clearly unhealthy. They are shortening my life and my other aims to some degree. Even my joy in engineering can hurt other parts of my life, I get frustrated with clients and employers who insist on stupid solutions.
Yet if we speak of magic cures why not speak of magic solutions? Cheese and pies that do not make one fat?
What exactly does your notion of heaven look like?
For many it is a place where every pleasure is provided without a negative consequence. A place where the discipline in life is rewarded by being free of the need for discipline. The 72 virgins of the muslim.
Others have claimed that when one is worthy of paradise "righteousness" (self-discipline?) is no longer a burden. The only thing you are freed of in heaven are sinners.
Urges which can be indulged, urges that can be resisted effortlessly, and the third option: no urges at all. Is heaven freedom from urges? If so then it has a lot in common with the nirvana of the buddha.
My theory is that all of these options are the shadows of urges and instincts and self-reflection of man. An animal on the planet Earth whose genes and cultures have undergone selection events. Events where hope, self-discipline, and resilience to truama were great assets.
You people have literal demons possessing you.
Right...
we have a method to make any desire sexual depravity gradually lose any hold on us.
Something has a hold on your mind, was that the cost?
Those sex scandal people failed to adhere to it properly.
They probably weren't true scottsmen either.
You need HS in you, not just to resist the urge.
I need the holy spirit to be real first.
Reality is that which exists before you believe in it and continues to exist even after you stop.
It isnt easy
It isn't right.
The essence of humanity is abstract reason. It is the only thing we do that no other creature on this planet does. If I give that up, I'm choosing to be something less than human.
...and for what? A mirage created by imperfect reasoning mixing with primal instincts (urges)?
Love is an urge. Fear of death is an urge. A desire to be protected by a parent is an urge. A desire for fairness (justice) is an urge.
Faith isn't a way out of urges, it's a house constructed of urges.
The only thing I have ever encountered that isn't rooted in the hind-brain is logic.
It is a road no weak coward can walk down without admitting he is both first.
At what point does the admitted weak coward feel entitled to speak for god? Is that phase two? Do you have to be sinless to start throwing stones?
Courage is the ability to take risks that are necessary. Begging the question, necessary for what end (what value), and necessary by what measure?
What determines when a risk is necessary? Reason.
For you who fear atheism, would it take courage to become an atheist? I know in your mind you recoil, because you think your fear is justified and there is no need to tread down that path.
So now understand: I do not start down that path, for though I have acted weak and cowardly in my life at times, I see a danger to my soul that way.
I've seen what you would call perverts who believe in god. They make excuses, as you make excuses for the set of urges you want to believe in.
Q: If the spirit guides you when you surrender your reason, then why does it not guide them?
A: It's not the spirit, its their subconscious. It is your subconscious.
The subconscious is not reliable. The subconscious of 'perverts' is perverted.
It's not quite a demon, but I won't willingly let it possess me.

How can you ask “why does God need a Bible”
In this case, using a keyboard.
when you only deal with the realm of your perceived reality?
Oh I have plenty of fantasies.
The ability to differentiate perceived reality and manufactured reality (correctly) is called sanity.
The fantasy of Jesus is great. Still makes me cry sometimes.
Art is a lie that reminds you of a truth, and that can move you.
Insanity would be confusing emotional response with reality.
What are you trying to prove?
As always: whether the other guy has the answers or not.

Maybe your drowning in maybes
Maybe its a choice between drowning in uncertainty or drowning in delusion and the test is to see who has the courage to face the unknown.
is why you literally admitted online on posts you cannot delete that you engage in bestiality.
I doubt the causal relationship between rationality and zoosexuality. Also, I never precisely said that.
There I go with that skepticism again. Maybe you should write this down and claim god told you so that in a thousand years people will say it came from god.
I literally pity you.
The feeling is mutual.
He can heal you, genuinely.
What is the hold up then?
He, father and HS can save you from the Hell you already live in
Others claim suffering is the point as they stand helpless to explain why their imaginary god has not saved the many innocents who suffer.
Pick a story.
Do you want a chance to be cured of your sick perversions?
It isn't high on the wish-list.
Genuinely consider it.
I genuinely considered a lot. That's why I left the church, looking at what I would have become had I stayed (and meant it) I regret nothing.
This is not rhetorical or hateful.
Even if it was, I would consider logic first.

Maybe only those who refused to believe without evidence get the reward.

Gays can have normal lives but I think it's necessary to find a cure for it.
Not very necessary, at 8.2 billion we're about 6 billion less humans till we need to start worrying.
More importantly, this isn't science we can accelerate by narrow focus.
The march to cure cancer should have proven that (they pretty much failed to make progress any faster than they would without all the specific research).
We need to know a whole hell of a lot more about the whole system than we do right now. It's like if you went back to 4th century greco roman world and said "we need to get to the moon, I know it's possible".
They could reorient their whole society towards that goal but they still won't get there in two generations. Maybe three. (I'm not talking about giving them answers, I am saying if they all stopped fighting and doing anything except trying to invent a way to get there).
Why? because there are just too many things they don't know and specific intent doesn't help because they don't know you need to know that other stuff to get to the moon.
