Haiti is great country. It is obvious you come from a people who can effectively self govern.
I wouldn't know--I've never been (although, I would like to someday.) Are you seriously attempting to insult my father's native country? Haha.

Where do you live?
That information is available to all those who are willing to look.

Are you a citizen of a real country?

I’m just asking questions.
Questions which have nothing to do with the subject over which we debate.

No insults.
So your alleging my characterization of Joe Biden's being a pedophile based on visual evidence being misdirected and meant for at least one of my deceased grandfathers is meant to be a compliment?

Perhaps you are suffering from island life.
I no longer live on the island (technically.)

Too much sun.

That’s a lie. You are a liar.
Sure I am. And the young girl obviously didn't recoil. And the dorsal aspect of his hand wasn't showing over the region of subject.

What is wrong with your brain?
It's not clouded by partisan nonsense.

There is no pinching of any nipples at the swearing in ceremony.
When was the last time you saw an optometrist? Or is the resolution not hi-res enough?

Perhaps you are confusing Biden with your own grandfather
My grandfather(s) are dead. But go on and continue to attempt to insult either one of them as if you knew them. You're attempting to insult someone you don't know in some haphazard defense of someone you don't know.

Republicans want to elevate a child molester ally to top House position
--> @Iwantrooseveltagain

We all know (or should know) the longest serving Republican Speaker of the House was a child molester. Dennis Hastert, sexually abused boys on the high school wrestling team he coached, before he was elected to Congress. That is not in dispute. That is the kind of guy Republicans elect and the kind of guy other Republicans elevate to leadership positions in their party. They still operate the House under the “Hastert Rule” which says: the Speaker will not schedule a floor vote on any bill that does not have majority support within their party—even if the majority of the members of the House would vote to pass it. Leave it to Republicans to base their operations on the judgement of a child molester.

Now they are seriously considering another degenerate wrestling coach for the Speaker position - Jim SEE NO EVIL Jordan. Jordan was a coach at Ohio State when the team doctor was molesting members of his team some years back. Jordan turned a blind eye to the abuse and did nothing that any normal adult would do in that situation. This is the kind of guy Republicans see leadership potential in.

So you have a contention against pedophiles holding public office? Okay, understandable. What are your thoughts then on the Democratic Party galvanizing a pedophile's bid for the presidency, who subsequently "won" in 2020?:

Maybe it has been scrambled so you cannot understand it the queation is, do you need to know?
It's the grammar and syntax. I don't want to be overly critical if there's a language barrier.

We do not have to prove abortion is murder, we proven abortion is an admission to murder,
Please demonstrate/substantiate.

is the admission illegal yes it has been proven by the supreme court.
Please demonstrate/substantiate. (Note: Please demonstrate that the right to an abortion not being recognized as a constitutional right is an admission to murder.)

We prove United State Constitutional Right such as Female-specific amputation. We do not have to ratify the United State Constitutional Right only describe as large a group of females, in the best way as a United State Constitutional Rights so it can be said to be a possible task.

Why do we only start learning about Economics / Business related information in High school?

@Intelligence_06
That's why we included it for about basically no middle schools, some high school electives, and a viable major for virtually all research-based universities! Yay!

No seriously, is that all?
Think about it: how much would referendums change if the masses were versed in Economics? Even if they were learning and being indoctrinated with Keynesian nonsense, just a mere and basic grasp would diminish much of the demagoguery and specious arguments with which politicians get away. And that's the "terrifying" part.

What stops you doing stuff that you don't regularly do.
Not much. Maybe talent, skills, opportunity, resources, among other things.

And what makes you do stuff that you regularly do.
Routine and complacency.

It seemingly takes no mental effort to be habitual,
Because sufficient mental effort has already been invested in producing your habits.

But a deliberate amount of effort to change one's routine.
No more, I presume, than that which was initially invested.

One would assume that it's all down to how our operating system becomes established.
Typically, regardless of the operating system one boots, one can still choose.

Implausible Abortion Arguments
-->
@John_C_87
No, we can just prove abort is an order to officially stop,then prove abort is connected to the termination of a pregnancy, with a connection of a birth by the word abortion to women, by act of conception to men. Once that is done abortion becomes aadmission to a use of lethal force, not murder.

The legislators, by writing legislation with criminal law, the people never had a way of knowing if murder had taken place as there is only a crime involved in establishing justice and never a established right. The victim is not a citizen to be charged with attempted murder of the mother turning the lethal force into self-defense as publicly claimed often. Even though the a as United State of Constitution.  The admission to the use of lethal force can be used against us in a court of law, then becoming murder, indenture dservitude, or even slavery by conviction. It is the way an admission to a possible criminal law is collected which can be subject to criminal law, this as a litteral form of organized crime or legalmal practice. By United State Constitutional Right in connection to established justice linking the whole process as well with the RICO Act. With whom does the order of stop officially start? With whom doesthe official order to stop end?

Question, is it implausable argument as women had sought Constitutional Right having been and are sold criminal law instead.
This isn't legible.

There is no valid interpretation of God's direct words, they are exactly as God intended, literal.

Your claim is paradoxical, self-contradictory, and illogical. Don't try to escape this claim and muddle up the water by simply quoting many scriptures without context or a point to make, as you have done till now.

Athias #16:
You'll find out soon enough, if you haven't already, that their arguments relentlessly consist of quotes taken out of context, and syntactic literalism.
As noble as your pursuit is, honest discourse, or at least the intention to carry one out, must be reciprocated. And it's been my experience that reciprocation is void in discourse with members Stephen and Mr.Brother.D.Thomas. Only you can determine how much more of your energy you willing to let sink in an obviously regressive back-and-forth.

@CoolApe
Legal Argument

(1) Murder is the taking of an innocent person’s life.
(2) According to the law, a pregnancy is not recognized as a person.
(3) Therefore, abortion is not murder.

Premise 2 is arbitrary.
I agree.

What if the law is wrong?
It usually is.

Then, the conclusion must also be wrong.
Not necessarily. You would have to establish that abortion is murder.

If everyone wants a good argument with this reasoning, then debaters should agree on a specific definition of personhood that the law can recognize.

The law argument is circular reasoning and irrelevant until the debaters agree on a logical definition of personhood.

Personhood Argument

It's easier said than done to come up with a good concept of personhood. Finding a coherent concept of personhood is a philosophical exercise and a rabbit hole.

Some people think viability is the answer, which I’m unconvinced about.

Many premature births require medical assistance to survive. Requiring medical assistance isn’t the typical idea of viability, which one thinks.

A healthy, full-term baby fits this ideal concept of viability since it can survive without medical assistance. However, most people couldn’t agree with this extreme case of viability since many consider abortion in the third-trimester murder.

However, medical viability depends on the capabilities of advanced medical care, which once didn’t exist and could improve in the future.
Neither the personhood nor the viability argument matters. As you pointed out, they're arbitrary. If you select your definitions in concordance with consensus, then you've merely aligned yourself with the results of a referendum which are no different from those which are produced by law.

The fetus/embryo/(input early stage) is a clump of cells and not a human being

Many people think that a pregnancy is a group of cells that is no more a human being than a foot or hand. However, the pregnancy at conception is a human organism and continues to be the same human organism when it dies. On the other hand, a clump of cells does not constitute a human organism and can’t grow into one.

Therefore, it seems reasonable to say that pregnancy is a human being at the initial stage of their life and continues to be for their existence.
This has always been and will always be a nonsensical argument (for some of the reasons you pointed out.) The zygote/embryo/fetus is a human being. Not only is this true by virtue of its genome, but also by definition of human development. I can only guess this platitude is argued in service to some perceived mitigation it provides for those who do actually believe that abortion is murder. But this platitude serves to elucidate an inescapable inconsistency/contradiction among the "pro-choice" camp.

We just wanted to make you feel wanted.
Trust me, I feel like the Belle at the Ball right now.

Though I suppose one could draw certain conclusions about the DebateArt community, from the apparent unpopularity of said entertainment vehicle.

Not that I wish to do so.

I suppose that my formative conditioning was why I grew up with only a limited interest in televisual and cinematic entertainment mediums.

Over a year I probably average less than one hour per day watching TV.

And I can't remember the last time I visited a cinema... It's certainly more than ten years ago.

Latterly, my laptop and primarily DebatArt have become my main entertainment and reference mediums of choice.

Though I make a conscious effort to not become dependant upon them.

Younger people and their reliance on hand held devices is an all too apparent sign of the times.

What form  do you think the next phase of the human/techno symbiosis will take?

Or should I say, the next phase of the technological takeover.
In other words, you don't watch much television? When growing up, my television watching habits were heavily regulated by my parents up until the time I left home. But I did catch a few notable television programs here and there. I guess one could state I watch a fair amount of films, though my disinterest grows every year, particular in the advent of this recent iteration of tasteless, God-forsaken Marvel movies. Typically my nose is in a book; however with the emergence of streaming services, I'm able to watch certain programs with a convenience which breaks the convention of that with which I grew up. Even so, I still wouldn't state I watch much television. I watch more than an hour a day, but I don't think I watch more than three, which funnily enough is the amount of time my parents allowed when I lived with them.

And just to be clear, my statement earlier wasn't a shot at you and FLRW. I was just poking fun at the fact that it was apparent that I was the only one (at least on this forum) interested in discussing the aforementioned first episode. The fact that you and FLRW posted despite--I presume--not having watched the original series or the reboot conveys that this subject probably didn't deserve a thread.

aren't most third world economies free markets?
Unlikely.

Most 3rd world countries don't have very strong private property laws

  1. Weak Legal Systems: 3rd world nations typically have underdeveloped legal systems that struggle to enforce property rights effectively. This can lead to disputes over land and property ownership.
  2. Corruption: Corruption within legal and governmental institutions in 3rd world countries undermine property rights by allowing powerful individuals or entities to encroach on the property rights of others with impunity.
  3. Unclear Land Tenure: Land tenure systems may be informal or unclear, leading to disputes over land ownership and use.
  4. Lack of Access: Vulnerable populations, such as indigenous communities or rural farmers, have limited access to legal mechanisms to protect their property rights.
  5. State Control: Most developing countries have historically had a strong presence of state-owned enterprises and significant government intervention in key industries such as energy, telecommunications, and banking.
  6. Economic Liberalization: Over the past few decades, many developing countries have pursued economic liberalization policies, including privatization of state-owned enterprises, trade liberalization, and deregulation, with the aim of increasing economic freedom and attracting foreign investment, but not to the extent of a free market.

Black people often have different hair care needs than non blacks.
I would imagine in some cases this is true.

Also razor bump treatment is more common I. African Americans.
Okay.

Different skin tones have different needs.
That may be, but like zedvictor insinuated, there are various "skin tones" that fall under the designated umbrella term, "Black."

In 2018, Essie Grundy sued Walmart for locking up beauty items catering to black women. According to the complaint, Grundy went to the Walmart store in Perris, California several times and had to ask a sales clerk to unlock the display case for black hair and body products. Meanwhile, beauty items for non-blacks were not under lock and key, according to the suit. Grundy said she felt “shame and humiliation” as people were staring at her as if she were criminal as she waited for assistance.
This is hilarious.

Isn't it more a case of affording to buy.

Because I assume that in a capitalist society, all U.S. citizens are allowed to own said property.

So unless your referring to a socialist utopia, the current  status quo would remain in the U.S.

And of course in a true socialist utopia, ownership and value would be irrelevant.
The U.S. isn't Capitalist and ownership and value's being irrelevant in any social system is irrational--hence, Socialism is irrational.

Society is such that people become rich and poor.

And attempts to realign society always fail.

Because in your utopia, you would just replace one ruling class with another.

You cannot enforce equality.

Enforcing equality is a contradiction in terms.

And let's face it...The passive introduction of equality is also a non-starter.

the richest one percent of americans own more than sixteen times as much as the bottom fifty percent of americans.
It's almost as if they have a hegemonic regulatory organization that restricts competition.

so, it's more than just a simple case of supply and demand, as if that's all there is to it. with that much buying power, the rich jack up prices,
How can they jack up prices in a competitive market? As consumers, how can they jack up prices if they're just "1%"?

What specifically is Black?

And what specifically is White?
They're government designations which elide cultural distinction.

Is a swarthy Spaniard for example, black or white?

Is it just skin pigment that is the indicator?
Yes, that is the convention.

If so can you quantify the amount of pigment that defines the difference between the generalisations that are "black and white".
I doubt it.

And therefore are higher levels of pigment the specific cause of dishonesty and poor social morality?
Yes, that is the convention as some would have it.

@ponikshiy
Here is question for you . Let's say a retailer looks at the theft rate of items and it just so happens the highest theft items are black beauty products. Is it racist to then put more theft prevention devices on those black beauty products?
Why would it be? The only way I can see its being technically "racist" is if the retailer hires security specifically to keep a watchful eye on so-called "Black" patrons as a result. The conception of so-called "Black" beauty products is necessarily and in and of itself racist.

I am also aware that from a business owners perspective it might be beneficial not o ly to avoid racism but to avoid being seen as racist even if it involves eating the cost of extra theft or also putting theft prevention devices on white beauty products as well, but I am asking from a different perspective. One of reality not perception.
Well, I would imagine that the cost differences of theft devices on so-called "White" beauty products would be marginal at best, since--and I'm confidently assuming--they're located in proximity to so-called "Black" beauty products. A supplier can only respond and adjust to the habits of its consumers, so if there's a substantial drop in consumption as a result of the specification of these theft prevention devices, then I'm sure the supplier will find it well worth the cost to appear "less racist" by implementing theft prevention measures on all his/her/their beauty products.

Understanding Objectivity - Enhancing our Vocabulary
-->
@Critical-Tim
You were correct on the uselessness of the word objectivity. It is irrational to believe in a reality beyond perception without perceiving it. The word I was looking for and accidentally defined as the underlying consistency throughout subjectivity for a rational definition of objectivity, was actually the definition intersubjectivity.

In essence, objectivity is a theory, while subjective and intersubjective can be known.
So we're back to square-one: on what basis is one "theorizing" objectivity, if a reality independent of perception can neither be experienced nor rationalized?

Age of consent

@TheUnderdog
Christainity wouldn’t be nearly as common here.
Hence, my point about Christianity being perverted and used as a veneer.

He impregnated a girl
Without any sexual contact.

that in the modern day is underage.
Yes, a "modern day" arbitrary division. What law would have made Mary capable of being betrothed at her age, but incapable of consenting to sexual contact?

Change the definition for the age of consent to 13, and God is no longer legally a pedophille.
A little more than a century ago, the age of consent in the United States--throughout most states--was 12.

So if you choose to get drunk and agree to sex when your drunk, you would want that to be legal?
It's not a matter of "legal." No one else is responsible for one's own drunken decisions. Unless one is under duress, or is being coerced, one is responsible for one's own decisions, inebriated or not; legal or not.

With a sufficiently violent government anything is possible
that leads me to believe that cryptocurrency, as well as other digital items of exchange, is a means to ingratiate the populace with prospective central bank digital currencies, which will only be limited by their algorithms.

I believe there is consistency among all individuals who gain trauma because even if the physical experience that caused the trauma is different for each person the emotional state that caused the trauma will be the same. Perhaps once we understand how trauma is psychologically stimulated, we can deduce which circumstances would induce it.
I do not believe there will be any consistency in the attempt to "standardize" the causes of trauma that does not reek of argumentum ad populum, which, I suppose, is the essence of psychological assessment.

@ADreamOfLiberty
It is. No one can force a change to the checksum algorithms and those algorithms require a global asymptote (some other coins include growth curves based on transactions).
This results in low-inflation not no inflation, given that oversupply will automatically create a rise in price to which the currency in question is indexed. And cryptocurrency can be oversupplied, though the checksum algorithms make it more manageable (Bitcoin, for example, as I understand has an inflation rate it regulates every four years, reducing mining by 50%.) Though your point is taken in what I assume you intended to argue that no sole manipulator can artificially inflate cryptocurrency supply. This isn't much different from gold which was and still is hard to inflate. I would argue however that unlike gold, the scarcity of which cannot be manipulated (unless through convincing counterfeit) checksum algorithms can be manipulated, even if its change cannot be "forced."

Indeed they would have to tear down the internet and make private computing without backdoors illegal to enforce such a thing.
And they've (members of government, that is) have been slowly building towards that through their "National Cybersecurity Strategies."

That's why privacy coins are superior.

Bitcoin (and analogs) destroy money supply manipulation such as inflation and remove the weakness of government being able to remove your money without your consent and without capturing and torturing you as they can do now by simply going to the bank.

Monero (and analogs) do all that and they will effectively create a condition where any disturbance to the system will cause a chain reaction that destroys taxation (involuntary fees of any kind) because the government will not even be able to quantify most people's income or transactions without cooperation.

They will likely ban privacy coins the moment any gains traction with the excuse being it is used by criminals. Of course anyone who refuses to pay taxes is a criminal in their view so that's not inaccurate to the hope. Cash is also preferred by true criminals today but its popularity makes it hard to use that excuse to remove it and the same would be true if a privacy coin was adopted faster than the gears of government could react.

Note also that it isn't the cash economy that need be targeted for subversion but the credit card economy as well as things like google or apple pay. The USD and all the cash would still exist, but from the government's point of view it just sits in big exchange accounts and does nothing taxable.

People will be paid in crypto, will buy in crypto, and need only concern themselves with USD for the purposes of cash. Of course the IRS will learn to track and tax but they already have the ability to audit everything you buy electronically or are paid through W2 employment.

It's still a step forward to remove ways they can steal. Even people immorally supporting taxes would agree that preventing currency manipulation so that all taxation must go through legislative process is a benefit.
I agree that if cryptocurrency if left as is can stave off the inflation created by the Federal Reserve's manipulation of the money supply. (The concept of cryptocurrency in and of itself is not the issue.) The concept is actually no different than letting private currency compete with National  currency. Cryptocurrency however is just a stepping stone for Central Bank digital currencies, which will eventually monopolize (likely in the interests of "Cybersecurity") the currency market.

It is impossible to inflate,
I don't think that's true.

why would they pursue it if they can't manipulate it?
At the very least, they can still tax it. I remember reading a while back about how there's over 60 billion dollars of cash-based transactions that aren't taxed. The shift to an online ledger would "remedy" that.

So they say.
Believe me, I know they're not independent of government authority. But it's other way around -- the government listens to them and any other shill international bankers appoint to large, global financial institutions.

The people can obsolete it themselves by adopting cryptocurrency.
Cryptocurrency is a red herring. International Bankers I presume would intend mass adoption of cryptocurrency because of the block-chain/online ledger system. That's the reason "Bitcoin" was heavily advertised, and its "creator" is nowhere to be found.

"People have the government they deserve" is not literally true but it is true that governments don't exist a certain way without a whole lot of people going with the flow.
Complacency is the enemy of progress.

Is anything done without a self-centered purpose?

@Critical-Tim
So then do you believe people only act morally out of self-interest, since people who don't act morally will be outcasts and no longer capable of being trusted or bargained with?
That's a good way of putting it.

But you forgot that government uses that money to pay for poor people's food and healthcare.
You mean, the government will allocate some of what it's stolen to an insubstantial discretionary fund which it will ration among the poor, hungry and sick.

But you think thats bad.
I don't think helping others buy food, or helping finance health-related services is bad at all. I think stealing the funds, or coercing the finance of food and health-related services is bad. Because theft and coercion are bad.

Well, okay, tell me when you succeed.
Will do.

Government makes you serve Communist ideals by "donating" part of your wealth to the poor.
You mean the government coerces one to serve Communist ideals by stealing part of one's wealth and misappropriating those funds to pocket it themselves and pay tribute to their international banking sponsors.

Okay, I guess 95% of anarchy just isnt good enough for you.
I stated as much.

how about something that can be done?
It can be done. The prospective "date" of its implementation is to be determined.

@Greyparrot
Well yeah, but failing that, a return to 2020 prices and a 2020 value for the dollar would be a huge improvement.
I suppose that's true, but why concede for a satisfactory option in light of the best option?

Communism, good idea on paper, bad in practice.
It's not even good on paper.

Well, sorry but no. You will have to be satisfied with 95% for now.
Sorry but no, what?  Do you presume to coerce me with "privilege" in lieu of that which is mine by right?

Well, you can either have Communism or Feudalism Or slavery. Out of these 3, Communism lets you have most of the anarchy.
None. I reject your options.

Well, yes, but pure anarchy doesnt exist. So what now?
To bring anarchy into existence.

In order to reverse the damage done by Biden, we would have to have an equivilent deflationary period to restore normal dollar values for goods. That probably isn't going to be happening.
In order to reverse the damage done by the central banks (which are not subject to the authority of any particular administration including Biden's) the Federal Reserve has to be abolished. A deflationary period is only a temporary stay especially considering fractional reserve banking and monetary policy--namely in the printing of fiat.
