Something I noticed with Christians
-->
@Stephen
Mores the question, who does Jesus think he is that he can forgive someone else that has raped and murdered someone's daughter?
There is even worse.

Person cant enter heaven until he forgives the rapist.

Then must spend eternity in heaven with that rapist.

I mean, forgiveness is nice and everything, but if we are supposed to forgive everyone for everything, thats just difficult.

Some crimes are just hard to forgive.

And the idea that you must forgive or burn in hell?

Thats a bit crazy.

I dont understand how someone who repents is just forgiven everything.

And how it only works before death, but not after death?

Like, whats the difference in repenting 5 minutes before death and 5 minutes after death?

Well, its a crazy idea that some sadistic murderer can just repent before death and go to heaven, while atheist who did nothing wrong except being an atheist goes to hell to burn.

It is obvious to me that at this point nothing will convince you, no matter how much responses I give.

You are a skilled enough debater to have endless responses, like Greyparrot,

Average US citizen would not have been falsely accused and then found liable without a shred of evidence.
Every trial has judge or jury.

They are the ones who decide if the evidence is enough.

If you dislike their opinion, you can make an appeal to a different court.

Thats how trials work.

Your idea of "every trial which involves Trump is a corrupt trial" is just due to your devotion to Trump.

If it was about someone irrelevant to you or a democrat, you would be speaking another story.

She gave hints to that herself.
Really?

So your defense of Trump is that you have same opinion as Trump?

Let's find out. If somebody calls Trump a white supremacist, do they have to prove it lest they be guilty of defamation?
Trump would have to take it to court.

If he did, then the process of proving guilt would happen.

I believe he denied the encounter ever took place, but that would be how it would go if someone actually had sex and then tried to claim rape after consenting.
You misunderstood.

He presented her as a person who has a rape fetish.

Just an agenda: Get Trump
Your Trump already had more rights than almost any other US citizen ever when on trial.

Average US citizen would not only be unable to have best lawyers to defend him and make appeals, but average citizen wouldnt even be able to pay the fine.

You really don't know much about liable laws do you?
I dont think you know much about defamation laws.

"So am I allowed to deny that I committed a crime?"
He did way more than just denying a crime.

He went to present his victim as if she was asking for it and lying about it at the same time.

Also, he made bunch of claims about her which he could not prove.

He was found guilty on sexual abuse and the many verbal attacks he made later against his victim.

And this is all while he had a team of lawyers who know law much better than you and who defended him much better than you would.

@ADreamOfLiberty
"On September 6, 2023, Kaplan issued a partial summary judgment in favor of Carroll, ruling that Trump was liable for defaming Carroll via statements he made in 2019.

Kaplan ruled that the jury's verdict in Carroll II "plainly established that Mr. Trump's 2019 statements were false", with the "substantive content" of Trump's defamatory 2022 statement being "identical to the substantive content" of Trump's 2019 statements; in both statements, Trump accused Carroll of "concocting a sexual assault allegation for improper purposes"; since "the jury considered and decided issues that are common to both cases" and concluded that "the sexual assault occurred", this indicated that "Carroll did not lie about it".[162][163]

As a result, the 2024 trial was expected to primarily focus on determining the amount of additional damages Trump will owe Carroll.[163]"

"Trump's lawyers requested on December 28 that the transcript of his October 2022 deposition be omitted as evidence from the 2024 trial because he might provide new testimony.[172]

On January 4, 2024, Judge Kaplan denied the request as frivolous.[173]

That morning, Trump posted 31 links on Truth Social (in about as many minutes and without comment) to negative stories and online posts about Carroll, as well as video clips stripped of context to make her statements about sexual assault seem fetishistic.[174]

On January 6, Trump mocked Carroll at a political rally for not screaming during the "made up" attack.

That night, the judge ruled that Trump's lawyers could not argue before the jury that Trump did not rape Carroll.[175][176]

On January 9, Kaplan further ruled that the defense could not argue about Carroll's choice of lawyer, who was paying her legal fees, her romantic/sexual proclivities, or that Trump did not sexually abuse her or act with actual malice when making disparaging comments about her.[177"

A man convicted of defaming an ordinary citizen about raping that same person…
"Former US president Donald Trump has been ordered to pay more than $US83 million ($127 million) to a New York writer he sexually abused and defamed, in a potential blow to his campaign for re-election.

Three days after his decisive victory in the New Hampshire primaries, a civil jury in Manhattan has ordered the former US president to pay damages to E. Jean Carroll, who claims he attacked her in the lingerie dressing room of a Manhattan department store in the mid-1990s."

"Trump has consistently denied the claims, even though a civil jury found him liable for the battery and defamation during a separate trial last year.

Carroll, 80, clutched her lawyers’ hands and smiled as the seven-man, two-woman jury delivered its verdict.

Minutes later, she shared a weepy three-way hug with her attorneys."

"She declined to comment as she left the Manhattan federal courthouse, but issued a statement later through a publicist, saying: “This is a great victory for every woman who stands up when she’s been knocked down, and a huge defeat for every bully who has tried to keep a woman down.”

Trump had attended the trial earlier in the day, but left the courthouse a half hour before the verdict was read.

“Absolutely ridiculous!” he said in a statement shortly afterwards. “Our Legal System is out of control, and being used as a Political Weapon.”

The current trial took place only to determine what damages he would have to pay for denigrating Carroll’s reputation, by casting her as a liar and relentlessly attacking her since she went public with her allegations three years ago.

At one point during closing arguments on Friday (local time), the former president abruptly stormed out of the courtroom as Carroll’s legal team was telling jurors he was a liar who thinks “the rules don’t apply to him.”"

Well, thats the position of MAGA.

Apparently, there is 60 million of them, as previously claimed by their members in this topic in the context of "how many will go to civil war?"

But lets not jump to logical conclusions.

This is completely arbitrary, meaning I can bring whatever I want as "facts".
No, facts are usually scientific studies.

I would state that my experience is the most fact that I can bring in
Well, you would think, but no, not even close to truth.

Your experience is irrelevant, as you cannot prove it.

I dont like muslims, but I also dont like Israel.

Maybe if Israeli soldiers werent abusing civilians, beating children, and bombing civilians, they would have less enemies.

Think of it from a perspective of an average palestinian civilian.

When you are a child, Israeli soldiers beat you up for playing too near the wall or because some Israeli reported being upset by you.

Your family has to move because some Israeli decided that your house is his house now.

Then Israel bombs your new house and kills your family.

Will you really think about Israel as the good guys?

@DavidAZZ
So, still not a single argument for spanking?

I am curious, do you know what is an argument?

"It physically hurts while other way options don't get the physical sting or pain"

Good job making an argument against spanking.

Now try to make an argument for spanking.

Let me give you a few hints so you dont wonder around anymore:

1. Argument must have facts as premises, not assumptions as premises.

2. Your argument must explain why spanking is a better option than any other punishment.

So you must prove that not only spanking achieves some of your goals, but that its better for well being of a child than non-spanking.

It must be proven to be better, since it involves physical pain and fear where many non-spank punishments dont.

3. Your argument must not be based on specific fantasy cases which you assume exist, but overall cases of spanking which are supported  by statistics and data.

4. Now, you may claim that without spanking, you would find it more difficult to raise your children, but thats not an argument, as child's well being comes as priority over your little difficulties.

With all these hints I gave you, I am sure you will be able to form some argument.

If you have no children, then you are not a parent
True.

The cool thing about people like you is that you will never propagate your ideas through a new generation.
True.

Attack on. :) But referring to me beating my children is ignorant on your part.  What is your definition of "spanking" and how does that translate into "beating"?  I thought I got got whooped pretty bad when I was a kid when my dad would belt me 3 times for bad behavior until I met the guy that would get 20 or 30 at one time when he was a kid.
One case of abuse justifies another?

Since you are not presenting any arguments for spanking, I dont see what is it that you are looking for here.

Usually, I find the best parents are the ones with no children.  All theory and no experience.
Well, yes.

Having children is immoral, so best parents are indeed the ones who never have children.

Now, you are also falling for one classical fallacy common among ordinary people.

Apparently, you assume that those who have children know everything about children or are doing the best for those children.

Now, it does not take lots of thinking to conclude that both of those assumptions are false.

Since you mentioned your children and how you beat them, therefore personal example, personal attack would also be warranted, but you are new to the site, so I will pass on the personal attack opportunity.

North Korea develops AI for war
"SEOUL, Jan 24 (Reuters) - North Korea is developing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning for everything from how to respond to COVID-19 and safeguard nuclear reactors to wargaming simulations and government surveillance, according to a new study.

International sanctions imposed over its nuclear weapons program may have hindered North Korea's attempts to secure AI hardware, but it appears to be pursuing the latest technology, wrote study author Hyuk Kim of the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) in California.

"North Korea’s recent endeavours in AI/ML development signify a strategic investment to bolster its digital economy," Kim wrote in the report, which cited open-source information including state media and journals and was published on Tuesday by the 38 North project."

"Some of North Korea's AI researchers have collaborated with foreign scholars, including in China, the report found.

Seoul's spy agency said on Wednesday it has detected signs that North Korean hackers had used generative AI to search for targets and seek technologies needed for hacking, though it appears they have yet to use it in actual cyberattacks.

The National Intelligence Service said it was closely monitoring the situation.

North Korea established the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute in 2013 and in recent years several companies have promoted commercial products featuring AI, the report said.

Communications technology is heavily restricted and monitored in the authoritarian North.

During the COVID-19 pandemic North Korea used AI to create a model for evaluating proper mask usage and prioritising clinical symptom indicators of infection, Kim said in the report.

North Korean scientists have also published research into using AI for maintaining the safety of nuclear reactors, the report added.

The U.N. nuclear watchdog and independent experts said last month that a new reactor at North Korea's Yongbyon nuclear complex appears to be operating for the first time, which would mean another potential source of plutonium for nuclear weapons.

The AI development presents many challenges, Kim wrote.

"For instance, North Korea’s pursuit of a wargaming simulation program using (machine learning) reveals intentions to better comprehend operational environments against potential adversaries," he wrote.

"Furthermore, North Korea’s ongoing collaborations with foreign scholars pose concerns for the sanctions regime.""

Nine years
I am addicted to debating and trolling.

While there are other sites where you can do those, none compares to this site.

Only this site allows you to debate almost anything in almost any way.

And this site saves for you everything you type, so you can search for something you typed years ago just to remind yourself what you were thinking.

This site has some very strong debaters, which you will not find on many other sites.

While I do like easy wins in games, in debates I also like the challenge.

Without challenge, it becomes more boring.

The only thing I wish this site had is more users.

Not many people can handle formal debating.

When some people see long text, they get scared and give up.

I think only a small percentage of people in the world are capable of actual debating and formal reasoning.

On other sites, people dont even debate. They just troll and post shit all the time.

You actually have to explain to them that "🤣" is not an argument nor counter argument, and that sentences like "that doesnt make sense" require an explanation and reasoning to support them.

Pro lifers should be more honest with the label they call themselves
People prefer the 5 year old because they are younger; by believing this, they would then believe that they lose value as they age.
Thats because historically, people did lose value with age.

The woman's value by society was mostly considered in ability to give birth to lots of children, which was the highest at ages from when she gets ability to get pregnant to about 22.

The older woman got, essentially more undesirable she became.

Giving birth to lots of children was important because 50% of children died before becoming adults.

So woman had to give birth to 6 children for 3 of them to survive.

It was the time when high birth rates were main condition for survival.

The arguments which you are presenting are a bit cruel, but one can understand your point of view and it is difficult to argue against.

Personally, if I have to choose between saving person A or person B, it would be very difficult for me to make any choice.

I just dont have a way of weighting the value of human lives, some of which might be contributing more to the benefit of society which we dont know about, some of which might be harming society in unknown ways.

Is that what most people think?

That you need civil war to have elections?

Nope.

Thats what you think, and trying to impose it on majority.

Letting people get constantly mugged is tyranny even if nobody wants to fight a mugger.
Preventing people from being mugged and starting a civil war arent same things.

Its a tyranny to impose a civil war on majority who doesnt want it.

Tron 3: Ares is in the works!!!
"We know next to nothing about the plot for the TRONAres.

The second film, TRON: Legacy, ended with Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) escaping the digital world of the Grid, with escaped Grid refugee Quorra (Olivia Wilde) in tow.

The implications that they were going to change the “real” world were there.

Will the third TRON film follow up on that plot point? Perhaps not.

It seems neither the characters of Sam Flynn nor Quorra are in this film, at least that we know of at this point.

Rumors are that this installment will be a reboot of sorts.

Jared Leto’s character of Ares was not in previous films.

The film’s director said the third TRON is “a movie subsequently about AI and what it means, and takes, to be human.”"
