Although the acknowledgment of one person does not a meme make, I would think.

Ha. Seth MacFarlane's comedy always skates the line between funny and disturbing to me.

This is outrageous. You are making up rules out of thin air. I demand an objective third party investigation into the matter of my admission as assistant investigator. You are obviously trying to influence the results of the investigation to tilt things in your favor. This I suspect goes deeper than what has been made publicly known. This investigation into your investigation will need to be investigated by an unbiased third party such as myself and my appointees.
My goal is to get at the truth, and your cooperation would be useful and would go a long way at proving your innocence.

I will be your assistant. Why don't we team up and divide our labor -- you investigate bish and Virt, and I will investigate the moderator who banned you.

Why are you acting like the the only component of his ban was attempted election interference.
Or were you joking. If you were joking, pretend I picked up on it immediately and said something really witty in response.

Well that worked well, clearly.
Tsk tsk. When will people learn memes cannot be forced?

@Lunatic
The thread title is asking if Jesus is me?
It is also asking if Jesus was "a" Lunatic, as if there are more of you. Are you a clone? Or a robot android with multiple other identical models? When is your friend Liar going to get here? Is he also a robot? The title question implies he is. Or a clone. Like you.
I find this highly suspicious. Clearly you and your friend (who is yet absent, probably busy setting up a sniper position while you keep us all distracted, I don't doubt) are planning a takeover with your robot clone armies who may or may not be named Jesus.

It is time to acknowledge that the HoF and its spinoff controversy was 100% the history-making melodrama shitstorm spectacle we were all hoping for.

@AvoidDeath
What, you mean the homophobic and racial slurs he used on bish? Slurs against mods are not prosecutable. If you banned him just for that, you'd be banning him a month for no violation. You'd be cool with that? Can't relate.

Wylted was banned for a personal attack in a zero-tolerance thread and for campaigning on Discord. He did not repeatedly lie to moderators, submit fraudulent evidence, or try to deceive me. I really don't see it as comparable. That's a whole other kind of nasty.

I honestly keep forgetting it's there. I've barely used it. Seems like 90% of the posts I see have 0 likes. The ones that do have likes usually don't seem to have more than 1 or 2.
What percentage of posts that you like do you actually bother to click the like button on?

@RationalMadman
It is. Multiply them by the children they will vs won't have, then also consider that spiders tend to build webs more rapidly and actively when they detect other spiders doing so in the vicinity (they are more gang-like than people think).
True, they do multiply like demon spawn. Ever come across one of the females carrying all those babies on her butt? Freaks me out.
Certainly in the big picture they play a vital and very beneficial role in the ecosystem. Without them we would be overwhelmed by insects. But that doesn't mean I have to like them, and when it comes to the benefit a few spiders and their spawn could give me personally... eh. I still don't think it's enough to overcome my psychological barriers with them. Psychological barriers developed in childhood are pretty hard to overcome in general.

@RationalMadman
That's true, but not all of them to the same degree, and to be honest I have a bit of an overgrowth problem, so fewer plants would not be entirely unwelcome.Pesticides damage the environment and have big side effects for the plants too (which require more chemicals to counteract).

@RationalMadman
And that's... bad?You're more sympathetic to the insects that will annoy the crap out of you than you are to yourself.

I probably kill less than 1% of all spiders in my immediate area. It's just not enough to make much difference either way.
Certainly not enough to make me go to the trouble of collecting materials and carefully lifting and carrying the spider outside. Especially not when it's nighttime and I'm cozy. Pesticides achieve the same thing, anyway. So all the spider really is is a threat to my peace of mind. And the way they kill their prey is so horrific. *shudder* Not that horrific predation is uncommon in nature. Quite the opposite.

Oh there goes my damn sense of humor, I see a spider. Great.
It's on my ceiling. They know I'm short. They mock me.
They go up there to die and then a stray waft of air makes their curled-up husks fall on me. Do you see how they use psychological warfare even in death.

It actually stands for Cock of Cocks, bish's name for his genitalia. Do you know how the Persian emperor Xerxes was called the "king of kings"? It's kind of like that.
This is a state secret and not widely known, of course. Which is why I'm telling you in private.

There is no meaning in the universe save that which is projected onto the universe by humans. I consider meaning to be something that must come from within, not without. It is up to us to choose a purpose and decide why we are here. It's a daunting prospect.

I probably shouldn't have made that last post. I wasn't trying to start anything or stoke the fire. It's my bad.

@TheDredPriateRoberts
Oh, of course I can. This problem is damn frustrating.
If safety is the real issue why haven't these things been done already?
I think it's because Republicans and Democrats are politically deadlocked and the issue of gun violence is caught between them in their turf war. We need a good bipartisan effort to put changes like that in place, but instead what we have is a tug-of-war where neither side wants to give an inch for fear their enemy will take a mile. So we get nowhere. They both seem to agree gun violence is a problem, but can never agree on what to do about it.
A searchable database seems like a no-brainer, but many Republicans and pro-gunners use the "slippery slope" argument -- that sure, today it's just a searchable database, but tomorrow they'll be taking our guns away entirely.
P.S. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why can't they just manufacture shorter magazines that you physically cannot fit more than 10 bullets into? None of this spacer nonsense.

I think the idea of a God who doesn't hold your hand is just never gonna appeal to most theists. He has to be personal. He has to be watching over them.
Religion is a psychological survival tool, and when you have an indifferent and impersonal God, that tool is no longer serving its purpose. It's no longer helping humans psychologically survive. So they'll cling to their survival tool and use deist arguments to protect it, regardless of the disconnect between the two.
When it comes to the deist God, I have often heard theists say "Then what is the point of a God like that?" Which is interesting -- why does whether or not something objectively exists depend upon whether it is useful or desirable to humans?

Honestly, I don't know Exactly what the Warhawks wanted Trump to do.A) Pull a Benghazi and allow the 26 troops to die by not pulling them out.B) Start a war with Turkey.C) Start a war with Syria.Pick one or more of these, please.
Oh, I doubt they would have died. Killing American troops and starting a war with the U.S. is suicide, and Turkey knows it. If Trump had left the troops there, I don't think Turkey would have invaded.
Regardless, you're right that those lives were at some risk. But how many lives will now be lost because of all the ISIS members who have been unleashed back into the world? How many more terrorist plots can now be restarted, how many citizens of the free world will perish as a result of all the progress we just lost in one stroke?
Is it really a tribute to our soldiers overseas to undo all their work and everything they and the Kurds have been fighting for? To un-save the lives they've been trying to save, and ensure that good men died for nothing?
It's always hard to leave men out there at risk. I get that. But I have to say that I would have sent reinforcements and held the line. ISIS is simply too great a threat to the free world.
