Me to!
The problem we have is that the way Mike coded the PM feature. We're gonna have to go through and re-write the entire code for it. Oh well.

Yeah definitely considering I've seen some new accounts just vote on a single debate (with poor to no RFD) and just get by with it. Having something like that will be helpful. That'll be in a project coming up. Right now Mike and I are working on group PMs and revamping our admin panel.

@Vader
If I recall correctly you don't need to confirm the email address to use your account. This is something that definitely should be looked into.

@Vader
Yeah. How many email accounts created just for this? Jeeze.

Nd was banned for creating dozens upon dozens of multiple accounts after repeated warnings (and posting to the forum with these accounts). He will be back in 4 days.

@Logical-Master
I wasn't aware this had been attempted before, but I can tell from bluesteel's first comment alone that it is in no way comparable to what I have in mind. 43 random people is a terrible way to conduct a trial and the whole thing is gonna automatically fall apart if there is no Judge in place to keep things in order. From the look of things, some random person decided X user needed to be banned and thus randomly decided a "trial" needed to be held. What we instead got was some debate rounds and votes filled to the brim with bashing and nothing but pure nonsense. In a nutshell, it wasn't done correctly.
The izbo trial is the perfect example of mob rule.
The way we have it set up right now one is told before hand that they will be banned and they have enough time to defend themselves and appeal their ban before the mod team.
Created:
Case in point: The izbo10 trial https://www.debate.org/debates/THE-OFFICIAL-IZBO-TRIAL-Resolved-Izbo10-should-be-permanently-banned/1/
This debate was basically the epitome of mob rule. The majority of the 43 voters were simply vote bombs for the pro position. There were a few sympathetic people who voted con. Not a single vote had a sufficient RFD.
That being said a person like izzy would very probably be perma'd long before it gets to the point where there is a so called trial.

@ResurgetExFavilla
The problem here is twofold: (1) disgusting character assassination and (2) attempting to use that assassination for a cheap win. We can’t allow people to cheat in debates like that. If he would have said it sarcastically in the forums, that would be borderline, but probably ok. Saying it in a debate like he did in order to score cheap points is not.

I'm honestly not sure. bsh will know

@RationalMadman
Yeah that's what we would do. Thankfully it hasn't happened yet, but I worry that it will.
Created:
I don't think it should be extended. I will say that I think there should be a way to delete votes once the debate ends. If someone vote bombs at the last second and changes the outcome of the debate, then we have nothing to go on.

@DebateArt.com
This. Pretty much this.
DART is a very niche site. The best way I think we could market is by inviting debate teams to join the site and use the site as debate practice and other stuff.

This has kinda been a problem on DDO as well. The vast majority of people seem to prefer to talk on the forums than in actual formal debates.

Why no kids?
This is a multifaceted answer. Firstly I don't think I would make a good father.
The longer answer is that I have a sever case of Sensory Processing Disorder. I cannot stand the sound of crying babies or children and cannot stand the smell and texture of a dirty diaper.

If I told you to ignore everything I've said, everything I say, and everything I will say, and you do it, did you do what I told you to do?
What?

Do you live in Israel right now? (From your DART profile.)Thoughts on Netanyahu? (I don't imagine they're positive, but specifics.)Thoughts on Chomsky's position on the Israel-Palestine conflict?
1. No
2. I cannot stand Netanyahu
3. I've got no opinion of Chomsky

@triangle.128k
This is a very complex question and it really depends on who you ask.
In short: All Jews believe in reward and punishment and that there is an afterlife of some sort. We all also agree that there will be a resurrection of the dead.
The complex answer is that most Jews believe that the soul hoovers over the body for some time before moving onto the next world. "Hell" is more or less what Catholics call purgatory. There is a period of purification of the soul.
Some Jews also believe in reincarnation to an extent.

@RationalMadman
Do you realise your socialist regime would punish all high-achievers and incentivise laziness?Do you hope for the honesty and benevolence of the masses to improve if the system punishes the greedy?I don't hate socialism, I am bemused by people who think it can work is all.
1. No it won't
2. Yep
Religion and politics do often overlap. Is there nothing within Jewish tradition that conflicts with modern left-wing politics?
From an ultra-orthodox perspective, sure. Homosexuality is certainly not accepted in the orthodox community, though we have found ways around it.

@Castin
Nope! None at all.
"Conservative" in conservative Judaism does not mean politically conservative. Rather it means to conserve Jewish tradition rather than reform or abandon it.

My ideal man is one who is outgoing, one who is intelligent, one who appreciates a good intellectual conversation, and who would love me and support me despite my disabilities.
I'm definitely childfree. I don't want kids. Not now and not ever. That would be a big deal breaker for me.
