I would like a Las M page button for threads at the top of the page, so I don't have to scroll all the way down to get to the next page
Are you talking about mobile devices? Coz we have pagination on top of the page on desktops.

I am not sure it would be that simple, not only forum posts and debate arguments contain markup, which is not easy to reliably separate from normal words, but also it's not always clear what should be considered a word. I may look into it at some point but probably not soon.

To be honest, supporting old browsers is a huge pain in the butt and I don't really aim for that since most people use modern browsers anyway. If you use Internet Explorer or some outdated version of Safari, I can only recommend to update to the latest version, (if it's possible, of course) because I have a strong feeling that DART is not going to be the only website that you will have problems with, especially since there's a trend nowadays that more and more developers drop outdated browsers.

Hey guys, there's been a massive code update related to the forum, so if you notice that something is no longer working, please let me know as soon as possible. Especially on the mobile devices coz I have limited resources for testing and I may have missed some issues on iOS or older versions of Android.

Just wanted to let you know guys that I've been doing a huge upgrade and it will fix many glitches ( probably not without creating new ones ), add support for private chats with more than 1 person, add redesigned profile pages that would have a "wallpaper" image the Twitter style, have 100% mobile support and quite a few more but due to the amount of work, I am afraid it will see the light of day only in a couple of months :/ But I will show you some pictures in a couple of weeks if everything goes well :)

Yes. I don't know why it happens but it does. My phone is also $20, so this may be unique to me. I replicated it like 5 times though just a few hours ago. At first I though it was my big fingers but I expanded the window and was careful and it still happened

I am perceiving a lot of access to DArt via phones. I find that an impossible device for use since my hands and fingers are quite large. My hand from wrist to middle fingertip is nearly 23cm, and, across the palm, about 11cm. My thumb is 2.75mm wide and index finger 2cm wide. Texting is virtually impossible via thumbs given the size of a keypad on a phone, and using a single digit is just as difficult. I use my phone for vocal comm only. Even the keypads on my Mac Book and iPad are troublesome. 99% of my access to DArt is via iMac, and I wish its keyboard were larger. Sometimes, I am very envious of my petite bride of 47 years.
I am afraid the keyboard is provided by your phone, not by the website so hopefully it's possible to somehow bump the font size in your phone's settings

Thanks, I will definitely look into it, but I will have to do proper research on the subject, I don't want to be caught up in something that is just hyped, like all those start-ups that got caught up in NoSQL databases a few years and then had to migrate all their data to the "normal" databases when they realized it wasn't a right tool for their use-case.

Hi, thanks, I've made the notes, I will make all the mentioned changes. I am also working on a big rewrite to bring the site to another level, from just a minor hobby project to a full-blown social network dedicated to debating and opinion exchanges, and soon we will need to have a huge discussion on the fundamental things that we should change and improve, it's gonna be interesting :)

Why is the post editing timeframe less than 30 minutes?
Because usually, it's enough to make all the required changes and it doesn't cause a lot of confusion as in situations when people create a post, others react to it and then the author edits the original post a few hours later and nobody understands what's happening anymore.

NSFW means that it's not safe for work, right? If so, I am not sure about the connection between the age and the content's safety for the work place. For example, you can be 50 years old but then if some post has nude pics, it's still not safe for work. Please correct me if I misunderstood something :)

I am going to be reworking the profile page so I will give it a thought, I like the idea, just need to find out the best way to do it.
Have you considered adding a page counter so we can gauge how many people may be reading but perhaps not commenting on debates and forum topics?
Yeah I will definitely add it but at this point we have so few people here those counters will not be much of a help, I imagine :/

To be honest, I have no idea why Google hates us. Our position in Bing and Yandex is good but in Google it's terrible. I even optimized most pages to be mobile-friendly to make Google happy but that still didn't help. At this point my best guess is that Google doesn't like that we don't have enough incoming links to DART, i.e. there are almost no websites, expect for DOD, where you can find links to DART. So if you guys have Facebook or Twitter pages, or participate in other forums or anything like that, feel free to create some links here and there to some good debates on DART, that could help us ;)
