Any interest in this? I used to do this every week with some other groups of internet people I hung out with. We would just take turns picking a song to play in the background while talking about random stuff. Was pretty good fun getting to know people by what kind of music they listened to and being introduced to new artists I had not heard of before. If enough people express interest here we can set a date and I can host it. Obviously everyone reading this is welcome if they are interested.

You all do not need babysitters. You just need to treat other people respectfully; and that applies both to the mods and to the users. We can all get along in peace without so many idiotic fucking rules.
This is a pretty big reason why I liked Ragnar's recent move of reducing the size of the CoC so significantly. It isn't going to happen all at once but I think that big move and several other more discreet ones are an indication that the mods are slowly taking the site in the right direction.

If polls are made to be its own thing, then trolls will spam questions like "should babies have sex" or "should Obama be decapitated"(Like I am not kidding, I have genuinely seen things like these in DDO because of all the trolls)
Please reconsider this vote. Things like this were possible on DDO only due to uncaring ownership and intense spambot infestation.
Look at DDO forums. They are complete garage. Look at DART forums. Not complete garbage. Same would be the case for a polls section.

Maybe include a question about ads. The owner seems to be against it because he thinks it would ruin the user experience. Good for him for putting the users first, that is what he should do, but I don't think my personal experience would be ruined and am curious how many others feel the same way.

There is an incredibly unfair stigma against the idea of having a polling section in general because of the fact that the DDO polling section got a bad rep from being the first to fall to spam bots before the forum section did. I believe my proposed wording change would have a slight effect (a very small effect I admit but hopefully a non-zero amount) in mitigating the effects of that unfair stigma compared to your proposed wording.

At first glance this seems to make sense. However, does it not suggest that there "is no way" the cop commiting the act would have done it in the first place whether for genuine reasons or to save his reputation? It does seem to suggest this, and since they clearly did not stop that would seem to suggest a flaw in your reasoning.
Put another way...
X = Anybody in that situation who was able to stop it and knew how bad it was would have done so (whether for genuine reasons or to save face).
Y = The perpetrating cop would have stopped if they knew how bad it was (whether for genuine reasons or to save face).
Z = The other cops would have stopped if they knew how bad it was (whether for genuine reasons or to save face).
If we assume X is true then Y must be true.
If Y is true there are only two possible outcomes. Either...
1) The perpetrating cop stopped (we know this did not happen).
2) The perpetrating cop did not know how bad it was (we seem to agree this is not likely).
If neither of the above is true then Y is not true, in which case X is clearly untrue. If X is untrue we have very good reason to suspect that Z is untrue as well.

The comedy aspects of the movies were done pretty well in my opinion as well as to a lesser extent some of the overall storyline ideas. Just about every combat scene was trash though. Character building left a lot to be desired in many cases too.

You have nothing to expose because you are scarred by trust being broken in the past so you never trust anyone. What those who voted Yes2 are defending is that trust.
I trust people to not reveal embarrassing things said in PM - even if there is no rule against doing so. That is why I don't think such a rule is needed.
You want a hard rule to enforce not sharing PMs - because you do not trust that they won't if no such rule exists. That is why you want such a rule.

Uh, because there is literally nothing to abuse? The worst I can think of is someone lying about me supposedly saying something I said in PM that I didn't actually say. A highly unlikely scenario but also thing I can think of that would be a potential negative outcome of a yes1 vote. One with an easy fix in this case too, I simply point out that it is a lie and post screenshots to prove it. Problem solved, move on with my life.

I changed my mind on issue 4. I had previously voted no1, I wish to change that vote to a yes.
I think that the frivolous reporting many members engage in will not be curtailed if this is implemented (hence my previous no vote) but upon further reflection I believe it would at least produce humorous results for the mods and is worth doing for that reason.
