While not as bad in this regard as protestants, the Catholic church is still more prone to theological liberalism than EO churches because modern opinions are seen as equally valid to time-honored tradition in many cases. This also comes from the "intellectualism" of western Christianity, an over-reliance on human reason which the bible warns against and which I'm starting to realize isn't so great after seeing Thomas Aquinas' pathetic attempts to "prove" God. Western Christians trust too much in their own ability to understand things and thus are too hasty to develop doctrine.

You shouldn't judge an entire denom by edgy people online who may just be larping, but in my experience I have been insulted by Catholics multiple times but have never had a negative encounter with an EO Christian. As for state interference, politics have found their way into the Catholic church plenty of times. Also let us not forget that the actual catholic clergy themselves have raped children and protected child rapists among their ranks, whereas EO is often only guilty by association. For example human trafficking may be more common in some EO countries, but is there evidence that the church is responsible?

These are people who usually only want to talk about one thing, and it's almost always politics. 99% of the time they either only want to talk about how much they hate Trump or how much they love Trump. These are usually older individuals who are incredibly stubborn and incredibly indoctrinated. They will never change their mind, and they will never see more than one side of an argument, preferring to stick to the narrow band of information they get from one set of biased news sources or another.
2: the chameleon
They don't care about truth, they don't care about exploring topics with an open mind, they don't even care about pushing their beliefs, they only care about winning debates. If you debate this type they will only use semantic arguments and try to reframe the debate to their advantage. This type has no principles or integrity, they only care about winning and everyone here falls under this type to an extent but only a few are fully committed to it.

These types tend to win a lot of debates, with their highly structured arguments that tend to exploit technicalities and details the opponent missed. These people almost always seem to have OCD and be "lawful" types who are rigid about etiquette and rules. This type is the most likely to become a mod and the most likely to be high on the leaderboard.

These types aren't afraid to get under people's skin, their demeanor can range from incessant trolling to passionately defending their unorthodox points of view. I for example definitely fit under this type. Several religions (particularly the Abrahamic ones) claim that God is benevolent. This is extremely inconsistent with the nature of reality as most experience it. Maybe you are reading this thinking "what do you mean? my life is great" and if that's the case I wouldn't be surprised if that's specifically because you deserve to suffer severely and people get the opposite of what they actually deserve. My life experience is so negative that I wouldn't be opposed to the idea that good things only exist to either tease/deceive people or to be given to people who deserve them the least. If you are so privileged that you can be blind to the suffering in the world good for you, I look at my own life and the lives of many others and see hell.
Many people will say that I deserve my life or that my life is some kind of test etc. I see such people as either privileged or cucks who gaslight themselves and others to have a positive view of what is clearly bad. For me to say "God is good" while living the life that I live would be the equivalent of a man sitting in the cuck chair watching his wife get fucked with a smile on his face. Anyone with a positive outlook on life was either handed things they don't deserve and should be suffering right now, or is a pathetic cuck stroking his dick to God's abuse. I don't give a fuck what you think I deserve, what you think I'm exaggerating or what you think the purpose of it is because unless you live my life you have no empathy for it.
When you look at the world objectively, the most natural conclusion is that either hard core materialist atheist nihilism is true or that gnosticism is true and God is a piece of shit on multiple levels.

Most convincing argument for Catholicism: any church without valid sacraments is automatically 0/10 and only the catholic church has verified eucharistic miracles. Although they aren't 100% proven they have the most evidence that their sacraments are real.

Life is about avoiding shitty things. It is infinitely easier to find yourself in a shitstorm of misfortunes than it is to find happiness or anything close to your ideal in life. Don't bother trying to be happy or to live an ideal life because it won't happen unless you are insanely lucky. Instead live your life to avoid everything that sucks or things that suck will happen (probably still will happen even if you make every effort to avoid them). Trust me, it may sound like a shitty way to live life but you will wish you did so and so when so and so happens to you.
I am someone who used to believe things would work out but I didn't realize how much I suck even though I knew that life generally sucks. Now that I know that I suck I wish I had played it safe and been more aware of how stupid I am. Everyone is stupid and everyone thinks they are smart, so start being aware of why you're a fucking idiot before it's too late.
