this site needs more trump supporters, or at least trump supporters who try to take politics seriously. i cant imagine half the country has gone crazy.... where are all the sane trump supporters to come here to defend trump and to defend their support of him? 

That's means almost 90% of democrats did, meanwhile 90%+ of republicans did not. Not exactly a great point.

Unlike most votes on policy, this isn't going to affect the lives of a single voter in any of their districts, so they have even less incentive than usual to care about doing what's right. The vote is all about what works best for them politically so it is a clear statement of the values of the people who elected them. So given the very clear partisan split, it's clear which set of voters care about basic things like integrity, honesty, and the rule of law.

you're not understanding me. can trump supporters tank another gop candidate? sure. but they also might not. whereas trump is pretty much guaranteed to lose no matter what he or the GOP do. 

some americans still think it is a sham. the trials will show them it is not. him being convicted will show them it is not.

Also, there is a mountain of evidence that trump committed these crimes. They have admitted some of them in public. He is guilty. You can argue they are pursuing the charges because of politics, but you can't really argue he didn't do it.

Republicans have been whining and making up nonsense about biden pretty much non stop for years. You could pick pretty much any day of the year and republicans would say the exact same thing. But not because the timing is suspicious, because they literally never shut up about biden and his non existent "corruption".

I think you mean, if he is the nominee they lose in a landslide. The man is a traitor who tried to overthrow democracy. And he is going to have multiple trials where this will be proven before the election. There is a good chance he will be in a prison cell on election night. If the GOP choose him, they are sooo screwed. 

I didn't argue she lost because of Comey, I argued that the decision to tell Congress days before the election that he was reopening the investigation into Clinton objectively hurt the Clinton campaign, because it did. Your insinuation that it somehow helped her is ridiculous. You may not remember this, but there was a time before Trump where an FBI investigation into a politician hurt their poll numbers, not helped it.

The polling data shows what common sense already concludes, that Clinton's poll numbers sank right after Comey's letter to Congress. For the last 10 or so days of the election this was pretty much what everyone was talking about. You don't just erase the impact of that by coming out at the end and saying "nevermind", and to the extent she gained anything after that it was only a portion of what she lost because of it.

Tempting as it may be to get into a whole thing about the Russia investigation and why that was absolutely not based in nothing, that's irrelevant here. You are using 2016 as a example show that the FBI is somehow in the pocket of the democratic party. Even if the Trump investigation was entirely done out of bias against him, that still does more to prove my point than yours because they did not tell anyone about it till after the election.

What is the point of starting an investigation for political reasons if you're not going to use it for politics? Meanwhile there was absolutely no rule or precedent that the FBI tell Congress about the reopening of that investigation and they did anyway.

That's not an organization trying to help Trump win, the logic pretzel one must contort themselves within to believe that is insane.

But yet here we are. Somehow you managed to turn a situation where the FBI's misjudgements objectively hurt Clinton and thereby helped Trump get elected into an example of how the FBI is in the pocket of the democratic party. The disregard for reality and political hackery is quite impressive

You mean the time that the FBI sealed Trump’s election victory by telling the entire country that Clinton was under federal investigation while concealing that Trump was also under federal investigation?

Setting aside what the report actually unveiled, why is a report on the activity of the FBI catastrophic for the democrats? Since when in MAGA world did “the FBI” = “the Democratic Party”?
