Of this I have no doubt. Trump certainly kept many promises he made to the richest amongst us. But the most amazing thing he did was convincing everyday-people to vote against their own financial interests (IMHO).
Lol a majority of Americans saw taxes cut because of Trump. Every American saw cheap gas prices and groceries under Trump. “Vote against their own financial interests.” If you’re talking about Biden voters sure

A NFL football coach just got fined 100,000 dollars for suggesting BLM riots were more damaging to everyday Americans than Jan 6.Cancel culture is the sandbox of a Marxist.
Cause Ron Rivera is a clown. Dude’s a horrible coach. Jack Del Río wayyyyy better imo

On this point, at least, we agree. I doubt very much that anything will happen to this man, if for no other reason than the fact he was President.
Or because of the fact that he did nothing wrong.
Unfortunately, he has empowered a whole line of conmen who now know they can do whatever they want, lie about it, repeat that lie ad nauseum, and become more popular than ever. This is the power of the SNAKE-OIL SALESMAN!
I’m sure a lot of people are regretting those mean tweets right now.
REAL GOVERNING IS NOT EASY. It is about what is good for the people - even if it doesn't taste as good as something easily peddled to the masses.
Like keeping gas below 3 dollars?
Trump successfully speaks only to people's emotions. But fairness in law is done in a dispassionate and deliberate way, a logical and methodical way not immediately appreciated by most people.
You’d be surprised how many promises he has kept.
Sigh ...
Only 2.5 more years of Joe

If you honestly feel this way, that is just sad. And if millions feel this way, then I am greatly saddened.
You feeling saddened isn’t going to do anything about the pain Americans are feeling.
Our problems with inflation are real. But they are in large part due to Putin's war, which came on the heels of the COVID epidemic.
You really believe this? Even if this is true, the government has various resources to combat inflation. Fiscal policy and monetary policy. Economics 101.
Seditious intentions (i.e. TFG), could mean an end to our democratic Republic. I, for one, do not wish to live in a society where decency and "the greater good" no longer have a voice.
Who wants to prevent you from having a voice? It ain’t the GOP for sure.
In this country, democracy is the foundation upon which everything else sits, even inflation. So if no one cares about sedition, we are all in a sorry state.
Democracy is of, by, and for the people. The job of the government is to serve the people, not engage in partisan witch-hunts.

I do see utility in a nationwide condemnation of the BLM movement that was over a thousand times more destructive.
How dare you engage in whataboutism. That’s banned from this thread

I heard they hired a professional Hollywood director to produce the hearings. Professional gaslighting.
That they did. A partisan hack I’m sure.

Nancy rejected only two of the candidates, namely Jim Jordan and Jim Banks. Kevin McCarthy then withdrew ALL names.
Would you like to elaborate on how that’s a conflict of interest? It is unprecedented to reject committee candidates of the minority party. Pelosi did it anyways.
Adam Kinsinger and Liz Cheney agreed to participate despite Kevin's refusal to participate.
Cheney went against the wishes of her constituents. Both will not be in Congress next year either lol. Success. Kinzinger is scared. Cheney is more popular among Dems than GOP in WY last time I checked lol
I suppose I would be skeptical of a committee that was all Republican except for Joe Manchin and Kirsten Sinema. So I understand why you scoff. But you simply cannot scheme to overturn a valid election, still lying in the face of over 60 court rulings, and expect to get away with it.
They didn’t even properly hear the cases lol. SCOTUS denying certiorari based on lack of standing is probably the grandest of them. I don’t blame them though. They were afraid of what they’d find if they allowed stuff to be opened up.
I will have lost ALL faith in our democracy if Trump is not held to account. And, at this point, I am certainly not holding my breath!
I’ll bet you 10 bucks nothing happens to Trump lmfao. Nothing has happened for 6 years and counting.

No. You said the rating were terrible when in fact they were comparable to the best weekly television ratings. We agree that you are incapable of the insight required to wonder why you lie Trump instinctively.
You’re implying that democracy was just as important as a football game lol

Until there is accountability, "Trumpism", even more than Trump, remains a threat to democracy!Selfishness, self-promoting lies and propaganda lead to autocracy. And what is worse, Trump almost succeeded in overturning a LEGITIMATE ELECTION.We should all be afraid.
Tell that to your average American who can’t afford gas and see if they care.

Go to a different thread if you want to discuss those issues. This thread is about hearings which investigate what was arguably the greatest threat to American democracy in the nation's history. If you don't want to talk about that, then you're honestly part of the problem.
The greatest threat to American democracy can’t garner more viewership than a weekly football game. That’s all you need to know about the thoughts of Americans on the issue.
Just don't fuck off from the subforum entirely, because seeing oromagi destroy you gives me a dopamine hit. You're very valuable to me in that regard.
Maybe you should date him.

That isn't the way things played out at all.1. It was SUPPOSED to be bipartisan! The Republicans voted it down. They DID NOT want any investigation into things they knew were seditious.
Democrats didn’t want Benghazi either, but the GOP let Pelosi choose which members she wanted on the select committee.
2. At this point, Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House, decided to exercise her right to begin her own investigation into Jan. 6th.
Sure.
3. She was under NO obligation to include Republicans. But nonetheless, she asked them to voluntarily submit names.
Yes and Kevin McCarthy gave a list consisting of Rodney Davis, Jim Banks, Jim Jordan, Troy añejos, and Kelly Armstrong.
4. Not wanting to participate at all, and yet still wanting to derail the committee, Kevin McCarthy submitted names with an OBVIOUS CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
What? Like who and how?
5. Nancy, as would any judge, rejected the conflict of interest candidates. And yet, she still put two very conservative Republicans on the committee.
You mean biased anti-Trump Republicans. Talk about conflict of interest. Kinzinger and Cheney literally voted to impeach him. How can they conduct a fair and impartial investigation when they already voted him guilty lmfaooo.
CONCLUSION: Republicans had EVERY chance to fully participate in this process. They chose to vote it down and then to select only candidates that would sabotage the effort -- if for no other reason than their own individual guilt.
Categorically false.

Americans have short memories in terms of politics. Most people tune out for 2-4 years until it’s time to vote again. How long have we heard “Trump is a threat to democracy?”

CHENEY: In our country, we don’t swear an oath to an individual, or a political party. We take our oath to defend the United States Constitution. And that oath must mean something. Tonight, I say this to my Republican colleagues who are defending the indefensible: There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain.
Liz Cheney will be irrelevant in T-1 five months. At least it’ll be the end of the Bush-Cheney dynasty. Good riddance

That's it, buddy. Deflect, deflect, bob and weave, whatabout dis, whatabout DAT, whatabout whatabout.God knows America can't have more than one crippling problem at once. We can't have inflation AND a dire threat to democracy.
J6 Committee lost all credibility when Pelosi rejected GOP appointees. It’s a political charade. Nothing more. It’s a selective portrayal of events. Why don’t they release everything unedited. Including the 40,000 hours of video from J6, which is still hidden. If you care about the truth, you should want to see everything.
You were wrong about Trump and you don't want to look at the full extent of your wrongness. J'accuse, my dear deflector in chief.

Nielsen Media Research estimates that at least 20 million households watched the first hearing on traditional television, comparable to the average rating for NBC Sunday Night Football, which ranks as television's number one program.

They probably want to hear shows about inflation since 36% of Americans say it's the most important issue.
The ratings have been garbage lol. They really expect this to be a winning issue for the midterms when people literally cannot afford gas. Out of touch with reality. It’s funny. Trump is more popular today than he was on J6

Not sure I understand what you're asking, let me just say that you seem to use this website a lot more casually than others. I have rarely seen you have extended dialogue with someone over your views
I talked to DoubleR about this. I don’t mind discussions, but I don’t have the time sometimes, and sometimes I don’t think it’s worth my time because ways of life cannot be changed. The fundamental viewpoint of life under a conservative and liberal ideology is drastically different.
and when Barney challenged you to a debate on his moderation of Wylted, as Incel-Chud, you suddenly didn't want to anymore as far as I could see.
I don’t debate lol. Only time I debated was during the snow storm cause I had nothing better to do lmaoo
I think you are here for a laugh, to post some things and get reactions. You use the website primarily to get your kicks and move on with your day.
Honestly ya, it’s mainly for fun, which I think the site should be.
The only thing separating you from a pure troll is that I get the feeling that you believe what you type on most issues, you just phrase it provocatively to get a reaction.
I like humor lol
I enjoy Mafia with you but I'd say that's where your and my relationship and interactions end overall. I don't particularly understand your approach to the forums and debating and I can admit that misunderstanding may be on me.
Just a me thing. You summed it up pretty well tho. Kudos to you

If he's trying to catch up on 10+ pages of material, I'm not sure how thoroughly involved you can expect him to be.
That’s irrelevant. If he asked only one question. And he didn’t get an answer, you follow up on it, which he clearly didn’t want to do until I reminded him

He got defensive because you accused him of something he didn't do. That's a much weaker rationale for his lynch than with Oro.
I called him out more so for not following up on Greyparrot. And he literally admitted he didn’t do that. If you were scum hunting, you’d follow up on your questions, not avoid them.

It was a hypothetical, not an assumption. I was not saying that you were his teammate. I was wondering that, if you were, would you defend him in such a manner?

Barney is a pretty busy dude. From my time modding with him I've gotten to know how sparse his DART activity can be. This means very little. We can say he hasn't been contributing much, but I don't think that correlates to him being scum in this case.
Then he should be replaced. As of now though he hasn’t done much. And the minute I call him out on it, he gets defensive af.
What I find particularly interesting is that you seem to be ditching your own strategy here to go after him. Weren't you the one insisting on going after the scum present in NFC West and AFC South? Barney is in neither.
As I mentioned in the preface, things are gonna change. I’m running a behavioral read on Barney. The NFC West/AFC South was more based on theme.
That includes Oro (AFC South), and most seem to agree that he's been suspect in this game.Should we not start with the best lead we have rather than lynching irrationally?
I believe I mentioned that I was fine with Oro claiming, but I want to lynch my scumread.
