My justification is pretty simple:

I am a Chromebook. Since chromebook are very weak and cheap computers that are sold en masse to students and the like, I am vanilla.

Since he lied, it's fair to give him pressure about why he lied about his role in general versus why he claimed vanilla in a rolemad game. I think it was intentional in general, but it depends on what claim he was hiding and why he covered it up the way he did. 

1. It's no secret that you are AFK when you have a less strong role. You obviously have a power role or you are mafia.

2. Mafia wants to be discreet if they kill someone basically doing nothing for town (no offense). If they do that, it must be someone the opposite of that, already risking it and being loud. You match this description.

you are linking one poll from one pollster. There are always outlier polls so taking one poll as the absolute truth (in this case just because you like the narrative you can use it for) is a very flawed way to look at things. You are picking and choosing data points to reinforce what you want the truth to be rather than looking at the data points to try to figure out what the truth is.
