I also don't understand why Pie is holding off pushing for a Banana lynch, given what he just said. If I'm picking up what he's putting down, I reckon it'd be a good tradeoff from his perspective is Banana got lynched.

Okay. This isn't what jumped to my mind, but that's interesting and I'll give you a temporary pass.

Can you say why you don't like Banana's claim?

Now this is a puzzle. I'll hold off on asking for a full claim for a few minutes because I do need to think about the alarm bells this is ringing for me.

I don't really agree with either of these points. If he's dedicated to the girl enough to not post a morsel as town, I don't think he'd do it as scum. As for relentless pressure, no. Pie is bold and will fight tooth and nail for mislynches and blame the mislynch on Banana's town idiocy the next DP. It's very common for scum to use TIs like this and I know Pie has done it before.

Respectfully, why? Sure, it could be a scum gambit of mine, but it would also be a very risky one on my part. Losing one partner in a 2v7 to the DP1 lynch is about the worst thing that can happen to a scum team. I know; I've seen it happen before. Remember US Presidential Elections Mafia?

You are making a lot of assumptions about his vote, when he actually just voted you then dis-appeared.

His behavior is 100% hypocritical. Him posting now does not erase the fact that he was bored and dis-interested when he was mafia a couple games ago,

and seemed to be bored and dis-interested here, my original basis for scum reading him doesn't go away because he decided to be active in the last 24 hours of the day phase.

I don't love banana's claim but I am willing to keep banana alive to see it through. I will say it's not a strong claim and tbh I think I may have used it as scum one time, or was considering using it

I learned this teaching some female poker players how to be profitable. They use their emotions to their advantage not try to blunt them and being emotional, even if it's perceived as aggression is something I personally welcome.

In the meantime I am going to keep my vote on pie, because I stand by the fact that I think he is being overly defensive, and so far my instincts have served me well. This doesn't seem like normal behavior from someone who doesn't have something to hide.

It's like a woman catches a man cheating, he turns around and calls her the cheater, only for mountains of evidence to later come out that the man was indeed cheating. This type of thing literally happens all the time IRL, don't see why it would be different here. Pie is being extremely defensive.

Noted, but I also get the frustration a little bit from the town perspective. The initial arguments still aren't that great.

I believe that part. I just think your push on Banana is still fairly unbelievable, so it strikes me as one that was done quickly without too much thought.

I am fine with giving my character. I am "welcome to the internet". I am not giving more though, because I do not feel there is adequate reason for me to do so. What exactly about my post did you take issue with? My guess is that you expect a woman to respond to aggressive males like pie and be completely demure and submissive? Take your world view of women out the equation for a second and look at the argument on its face.

I don't think the claim from banana is happening yet and I also don't think you want to be a martyr. Let's focus on your other reads. Even if you are right about banana, they have a partner and that is worth looking into

Bananas frustration at always claiming early and losing his roles utility every single game is fair. 

But it should be noted that Pie immediately started to push Banana the second a wagon on Owen developed. 

As I'm typing this, the dynamic has shifted a little. Banana has become aggressive in attacking Pie and defending herself... an an emotional level, her response makes sense imo. She's not countering Pie's points all that well, but she is relying on the idea that Pie's points being ridiculous are self evident.

Going back to Pie, I can't see a good reason to townread him. I don't like his lynch logic at all and I hate the OMGUS. He's the only person who has no solid town argument in my book and thus, my top scumread.

It is here where I propose a compromise: After Pie claims, I would like him to pick someone for us to pressure. I strongly prefer a player in my pool, but I am willing to let him go outside of it. My only stipulation is that Moozer is off the table completely.

Can we at least get a character claim from you?

I think I get where Pie is coming from in terms of his read on Banana, I'm just not convinced she's scum. The confusion over Pie's behavior in a previous game is the main basis for the sus that has legs (the VTL less so, since Pie was inactive for quite a while, which isn't common, and she tends to respond pretty negatively and defensively to pressure), and I can see how this might have been a pretty weak effort to throw some sus at Pie. That being said, if the goal was to try and get a mislynch off of the effort, I don't see why Banana would target Pie of all people or why she would keep up that effort now. Pie isn't getting lynched. 

I'm fine with pushing for more information from Banana, though, since she has held off on claiming an album and seems pretty cagey in her responses, particularly that last one.

Okay, now I'm starting to agree with Pie. I don't like #176 at all.

 I agree that banana is different, but it seems in a good way to me, and behavior can change a lot once you get more familiar with the game.

I am literally voting you for the same thing I get voted for every game, and have been forced to claim on dp1 3 days in a row for.

If multiple people want a claim I will give it, but I have been way more active than you so far and have made an honest effort this game at contributing more, so you will need a better reason than hurt pride if you want my claim.

I think I agree with Pie more on this. Banana does seem both more aggressive and defensive than usual.

Honestly, at this point I'm just trying to not be a crap player anymore and get rid of my annoying tendency to become the information lynch, so I'm really just trying to play cautiously. You can look back at my other town games and see that this is a play style that I have and am trying to get rid of. The trouble is everything is getting so hyperanalizyed already I have very few fresh opinions left to contribute.

I think it's more likely her genuine recollection, even if it's off. Vader had an incorrect recollection about Lunatic talking about me in this very thread this very day.

I was actually slightly scumreading him for it (as well as the fact that he said I've been asking vague questions, which is just factually wrong), but then he backed off and I'm back to a null read on him.

Neither of those are aggressive behavior.

I will do my best. My main thought at this time, is that I am a little surprised in pie's activity day phase 1. He seemed a lot more active in the last game, and seems dis-interested here.

He was also dis-interested in  Mayday mafia, where he happened to be mafia.

it seems like he tends to be more active as town. It might be too early to draw that conclusion though as the game has been up for less than 24 hours at this point

Which is annoying to me, because in the past few games I’ve played I’ve found like to sit back and observe the early DP, and now everyone else wants to do it now, which completely ruins it.

I get the sense that someone is trying to blend in instead of getting the game going. You can all guess on who I’m thinking of.
