@PREZ-HILTON
Did you mean to attach an article about Great Britain? We were talking about the U.S. economy .
Here this could also help you understand why the 1880s were not Laissez-faire. You're welcome
If the 1880’s were not Laissez-faire then there has been no period of LF in America.

Actually Woodrow Wilson was in office when Rockefeller paid him to kill his employees
Republicans are fundamentally opposed to regulation of the economy and organized labor.

Literally the 1880s had government intervention.
We didn’t even have income taxes then. The Robber Barons did what they wanted because there was very little regulation and no government oversight of the economy. Franklin Roosevelt changed all that after Teddy Roosevelt went after the Trusts (monopolies)

Oh the 1880s where the government intervened for John D Rockefeller to go after striking employees?
The government broke up Standard Oil, remember?

Debate me on whether regulations are generally easier for big billion dollar corporations or independent business owners.
There’s no debate, of course regulations are easier to cope with if you have large amounts of capital. But that’s not what kills small businesses. Should we let small businesses pollute the environment or cheat their employees just so they can survive? I don’t think so.

Big business, monopolies and no competition is the natural course of capitalism. Without regulation and government intervention we would have the 1880s again. Did you miss that day in high school too?

Personally I would define the left right paradigm as how much economic interventionism or government interventionism a person wants. As far left as you can go is totalitarianism like north Korea or Venezuela or Nazi Germany. But as far right as you can go would be Laissez Faire capitalism or anarchy.
Ok I like it. Good definition. If North Korea is a 10 on the leftist scale, Bernie Sanders is a 4. I’m a 4. You are a 1.

Would you like to debate whether regulations are easier for billion dollar companies to confirm to or easier for your average rural farmer who is according to you an idiot?
Look, the idea that the US was going to be a network of rural farms and an agrarian economy went out with Thomas Jefferson. You are clueless.

2. After the FDA was created to make more regulations we went from most groceries being bought from local grocery and food producers to now a handful of companies controlling the food supply
That’s nonsense. The FDA was created in 1906 to promote public health through the control and supervision of food safety, tobacco products, caffeine products, dietary supplements, prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceutical drugs (medications), vaccines, biopharmaceuticals, blood transfusions, medical devices, electromagnetic radiation emitting devices (ERED), cosmetics, animal foods & feed[3] and veterinary products.

We know economic interventionism harms competition for the following reasons.
Who advocates for competition? Certainly not capitalists. Competition is expensive. The goal of big business is to eliminate competition by any means necessary. You know who advocates for competition? Democratic Socialist.

The economic freedom index disproves the theory that leftism promotes economic prosperity as the most leftist countries are at the bottom of it.
What is leftism? you are equated democratic socialism to leftism. Democratic Socialism is simply regulated capitalism.

Most girls who drop out of high school do so because they got pregnant, Republican Congresswoman Lauren Bobert for example.

why do you hate poor people? Does it make you feel good about yourself to hate black people, Appalachian mountain folks, immigrants and the handicapped and mentally ill that struggle to make a high wage and receive educations?
There are 330 million people living in the US. Half of those people are either poor or nearly poor. They are not all black, immigrants, handicapped or from Appalachia. Many of them are white guys who are uneducated and watched as they fell out of the middle class as rich people got richer with the help of the Republican Party.

So, if it was bent, then it was not free nor fair, and if it was not free nor fair, then how do you know Biden won and Trump lost?
That is a monumentally false statement.
It was bent by Trump. Trump and Republicans cheated but the system held. Unless Trump cheated with the goal of helping Biden win, we know Biden won by getting more votes than Trump both in the popular vote and the electoral college.
Created:

So then you necessarily agree that the 2020 election was undermined?
Yes, it was bent but not broken. The system held thanks to a few Republicans who have integrity. They are all gone now. Replaced with morons by morons.
Hillary had one thing right, Republicans, most but not all, are deplorable.

Domestic inflation caused by making up for the European shortage of oil that was previously acquired from Russia.
Inflation was caused by an imbalance of supply and demand of a broad spectrum of products and materials around the globe in the wake of the Covid pandemic. Oil was in short supply here because American oil companies made the choice not to drill for more oil to meet demand instead opting to put upward pressure on the price of oil by constricting supply and using the money to buy back shares of stock and pay dividends to investors.
Gasoline was higher in places that had refineries down for a variety of reasons including maintenance.
Demand was high thanks to Biden’s excellent management of both the economy and Covid. Unemployment is very low and people received government support. I myself was aided by the bailout of the airline industry. My daughter came out of the Covid period with money in her savings account and a great paying job.

A PAC scam has nothing to do with the official administration of our elections. Some scammer taking money from gullible voters saying the money will be used for political purposes is one of Trump’s latest scams but that doesn’t reflect on the security of our elections.
Same thing goes for the recent lies told by Congressman elect George Santos.
Accepting bribes in return for government contracts also does not reflect on the security of our elections.
So tell me, why do you idiots want voter ID laws? How would that prevent the crimes you cited?
The guy funneling foreign money to US elections was funneling money from Russia to Trump which you idiots have been claiming never happened and was the “Russian Hoax”. And you are on the record supporting the idiot Trump. You are a piece of work. A moron.
So the one election fraud case you cited was done to favor Trump, the guy who says the elections are corrupt. Trump is the one who tried to cheat in our elections, including trying to overturn a legitimate election that he no doubt tried his best to cheat in.

The information about Scott Perry is from Wikipedia. Just Google Scott Perry. Everything in his write up is footnoted. When you see footnotes like this [73] it’s a good indication the article is from Wikipedia. If you were well read as you say you are you would know that.
The news about meadows burning documents in the White House is in every major newspaper in the country.
Did you know there is a war in Ukraine right now? Russia invaded over a year ago. But I guess you wouldn’t know that because you don’t watch the news or read newspapers. Maybe you could just pray on it and receive news directly from God.

Created:
According to his principal assistant, Cassidy Hutchinson, Chief of Staff Mark Meadows was breaking the law in the days after the election that Trump lost by destroying notes and papers “a dozen times” and not logging meetings with Republican wack jobs.
After the election, Congressman Scott Perry promoted false claims of election fraud.[73][74] Days after the election, in text messages to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Perry suggested John Ratcliffe should direct the National Security Agency to investigate alleged Chinese hacking. Perry also asserted "the Brits" were behind a conspiracy to manipulate voting machines and that CIA director Gina Haspel was covering it up. The next month, he sent Meadows a link to a YouTube video that asserted voting machines had been manipulated via satellite from Italy; Meadows later sent the video to former Acting Attorney General Richard Donoghue, seeking an investigation.[75][76][77] Donoghue told the committee the contentions in the video, originating from QAnon and far-right platforms which had been brought to the White House, were "pure insanity."
In August 2021, CNN reported that the Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, had briefed top Justice Department officials that no evidence had been found of any foreign powers' interference with voting machines. Jeffrey Clark was reportedly concerned that intelligence community analysts were withholding information and believed Perry and others knew more about possible foreign interference. Clark requested authorization from Rosen and Donoghue for another briefing from Ratcliffe, asserting hackers had found that "a Dominion machine accessed the Internet through a smart thermostat with a net connection trail leading back to China."[84]
On August 9, 2022, Perry reported that three FBI agents had seized his cellphone after presenting him with a warrant.

“In contrast, Delaware’s three small counties have 13 newspapers; Vermont’s 14 counties have 39”
2 Democratic states with small populations are very different than rural Republican states. Vermont is rural but in 2 hours you can drive to Boston. Same for Delaware, a small state with a small population is much different than a large state with a small population. People in large rural states are just so isolated it effects their perspective and their politics.
