Have whatever opinion on her intelligence you want. All I'm saying is that it certainly a screw-up on both mine and others' parts to conclude she was a bot and publicly made those accusations.

Look, she seems weird, but I am already seeing why my previous case for the chatbot idea doesn't hold up as well. All I can say at this point is that she's very likely a real person.

Welp, turns out I was wrong. Apologies to Shila for those accusations. Thank God she was not an actual chatbot.

Dear Best.Korea,
Ya know, when I blocked you, it was for a few days and I stopped talking to you during it. This is because I don’t seek to instigate fights with people I have blocked.
Here, you have blocked me and are pinging me despite so. And yet you say I’m doing “hit and runs.” In reality, I only blocked you because you mentioned that you were going to “take multiple posts” to rebut me and I wasn’t about to have my notifications box spammed.
To conclude, stop being a coward. If you’re going to talk to me, unblock me you pussy.

Well it was closer to ~40 posts per day, but the point still stands.

@RationalMadman
I'm not getting into this too much today, but I'll post more tomorrow when I have more time. In short, I believe Shila to be a chatbot based on inhuman behavior, including:
-An incredibly high posts per day average
-A seemingly very specific posting schedule
-A slew of posts and statements that are not related to the posts it responded to
-An incapability to do anything on a webpage where there is no immediately accessible text box to write in
-A seemingly nonexistent day off since account creation
-A higher than normal focus on analyzing other users' profiles to make judgments
There a few smaller behaviors and other things that give me reason to believe it's a bot, which I'll talk about tomorrow. Real quick, to respond to your point about how it behaves to users that have blocked it. It is very possible for a chatbot to have programming that will simply go around a block, especially if it has been given the series of conversation steps and machine learning that even the most basic chatbots require. In fact, a less ethical programmer seeking to create a chatbot has every motivation to include such a feature. I would argue that any programmer that unleashes a forum chatbot on a site like this does not have any good intentions.

Out of curiosity, is that from a one culture or a collection of cultures? I assume the latter.

So I was scrolling through some memes and I came across a screenshot of a 4chan greentext.
So I screenshotted it and c/p’d through my iPhone’s text reading in Images. The greentext went exactly like this:
>Decide to check out reddit to seeif its as bad as everyone says>Go to the r/AmltheAssholesubreddit> First Post I see is of a some bitch getting pregnant at 17 wanting a abortion, boyfriend pleading her to keep the child says he'll raise itChild is born she starts saying 'I hAvE pTsD fRoM iT' (NOTE: this text was in red, so I assume there is an emphasis on this part of the greentext)>Father raises child>ffw 12 years her daughter wants to meet her>Literally wants no contact>Straight up rejects her own child>Everyone cheering her on>Any people who disagree get downvoted intooblivionWhat the fuck? (NOTE: red text here as well)
Assuming the greentext was accurate in describing the situation in the Reddit post, we can ask this question: Is she the asshole?
Also, what would you say to her if you were to meet her today? And what would you say to the 4channer who posted the greentext?
Discuss.

And you’re not facing reality. The reality that Republicans have no political platform.
You lack an understanding of Republicans then. Probably because you are focused more on vilifying them instead of refuting their arguments.
But the reason this thread is important is that an outspoken member of Congress is a phony, a fraud and a hypocrite who is the antithesis of an empty chair in Congress. She gets elected using the culture wars, “I’m a white Christian with Christian values who hates political correctness and then gets exposed asfraud when she goes against the Bible and gets divorced. And she thinks gay marriage will ruin America? Worry about your own marriage.
I’d like to know who you think is blameless in this world. Besides, we don’t know the details of this divorce, and I will add on to that here that it isn’t our business. Yet none of that makes any of her stances wrong. Instead of talking about how she should “worry about her own marriage,” you should argue why you believe in gay marriage, since that was a stance of hers you took issue with.
I don’t care if she’s divorced. I want to know what she’ll use my tax dollars for. I want to know if she’ll protect children in the womb. I want to know if she’ll secure our border. I want to know if she’ll protect our parks and wildlife. I want to know how far she will go with all these things and others.
These are the same standards I give to every politician. I could talk about Elizabeth Warren’s divorce. I could talk about Amy Klobuchar’s treatment of her staff. I could talk about Barack Obama’s estranged half-brother. The thing is, none of those things are important. It doesn’t change the bills they vote on or sign.
The funny thing is, you make all this talk about how she takes advantage of a culture war, and then you promote the culture war with your “Republicans have no platform” statement. You are the real hypocrite here.
But you don’t have to be. All you have to do is focus on what she does with her job as a congresswoman. If you can’t do that, then it would be better for you to just shut the fuck up when it comes to politics.

So you take that part of post #57 back then? Because there's no way you can argue that post wasn't an accusation.
Anyways, it's pretty rich for you talk about debating skills here. You still have yet to prove this story is important in today's politics at all. I've explained twice that a wrong in one instance does not mean a wrong in another. You haven't contested this point yet. Instead, you're sticking to personal attacks and semantics arguments.
The most substantial thing in your whole argument is a character evaluation of someone whose character I have little need to care about. A smart voter cares about policy first and foremost.
I even gave you the perfect chance to air your grievances with her politics. You refused to take it because you would rather focus on frivolous hot gossip. This whole story is closer to celebrity news than political news.

Confirmation bias is a term can also be applied when you focus too heavily on such pieces of evidence, or when you make speculation with lacking evidence to suit your beliefs. The most dirt I could find on MTG with regards to her relationship are allegations of incidents that would've happened 10 years ago. Not compelling evidence. But here you are, acting like it's already proven, and dedicating a whole thread to it, no less.
You have already mentioned what you thought of MTG before the incident.
"She was horrible long before news of this divorce became public." -IwantRooseveltagain, post #71
Because of this belief, you speculate she is cheating despite lacking substantial evidence for your claim.
"Have you ever considered that someone who cheats on their spouse is more likely to have no problem with corruption?" -post #57
With your speculation, you assert she is terrible.
"She’s deplorable. Big surprise her husband no longer wants to be with her. It’s just a confirmation that she is terrible." -post #64
"The divorce just confirms what we already knew," -post #71
This is blatant confirmation bias; there is no way around it.
But let's stop to consider the consequences in the event that this divorce happened because she cheated on her husband 10 years ago, or for any other reason. It could be MTG's fault, her husband's, or both. It makes no consequence. Does this mean she is more likely to embrace corruption, as you allege in post #57?
No. There are many people who have never cheated, and still clearly are corrupt. Conversely, there are many who have done horrible things, including having affairs, and decided to make better of themselves afterwards. In fact, there isn't a single person on Earth who is blameless. This isn't a new idea, but the best way to judge a politician is to evaluate their politics. If you have grievances with her politics, go ahead and air them. It would be a welcome chance of pace. I might even agree with you on some of them, for all I know. Until then, all you've done is concern yourself with the frivolous, and waste time you could've been using to talk about actually important things (like her politics).
As for attacks on my education, they are lacking. I am on campus at a university that is renowned nationwide in my field of study. And as I stated earlier, I have no reason to look down upon those who never went to college. They made a lifestyle choice based on what they wanted in life. Some are smarter than me. Some are not. Some will make more money than me. Some will not. Some will be happier than me. Some will not. These aren't new ideas either, but they are true. Don't place too much value on a college degree.

I do. I can't believe I actually have to pull out a dictionary here, I thought people on this site would be past that.
con·fir·ma·tion bi·as
Learn to pronounce
noun
- the tendency to interpret new evidence as confirmation of one's existing beliefs or theories.
In this case, the new evidence is this divorce, the existing belief is your "MTG = bad" belief. There ya go.

Again, it's a pretty obvious implication, if you could read what I said. I'm not interested in debating semantics.
I gave a response about how dumb this thread is, and here you are creating one of the dumbest arguments in site history. If you could get that 'specific wording' stick out of your ass, you would see that.
I'm done here.

As per my last reply,
You bringing it up is to justify your confirmation bias.
It matters not that you came across it randomly. I come across random news all the time. Doesn’t mean I have to bring it up.

She was horrible long before news of this divorce became public. The divorce just confirms what we already knew, and now even her husband of 27 years doesn’t want to be around her.
So bringing this up is about justifying your confirmation bias. Got it. Like I said, it’s frivolous.

No, none of the above. It’s not a commie plot either. She’s deplorable. Big surprise her husband no longer wants to be with her. It’s just a confirmation that she is terrible. The same thing happened to Sarah Palin. I’m guessing the dunce Lauren Bobert will get divorced eventually as well.
Excuse me, but do you even know exactly the reason for the divorce? Even so, does a mistake or sin render someone horrible? And does someone being horrible in one way automatically mean they're horrible in all others?
People who are always crying ad hominem are rarely honest about their own ad hominems.
Oh, the irony. "is this an ad hom?" - IwantRooseveltagain 2022
The whole point of my question was to see if your own statement was the case for you.
Saying “your idiocy” is no different than calling me an idiot.
Not entirely. Everyone has idiotic takes from time to time. Even very intelligent people. But for you, I can already tell it's a pattern, so I'll say it: You're an idiot.
No, I’m contending you are an idiot (and a loser) because you are not a college graduate.
I'm currently in college, you dolt. Also, it's pretty dumb to flex a degree in the air and act like you're superior to others simply because you made a different career choice. There are many people who are decide not to go to college and still become successful. Some of whom are far more successful than you and I ever will be.

@IwantRooseveltagain
Not really. It's pretty easy for a politician to love their partner and still be corrupt, and just as easy for more "righteous" (in quotation marks because righteous is relative here, given the nature of politicians) politicians to cheat, repent, and learn.
You act like this is some kind of amazing 1000iq behavioral read. Oh, no! MTG has divorced her husband! That means she wants to "divorce" from the US and sell our policies out to Russia! The logic here is sad and hilarious at the same time. Instead of finding evidence for ACTUAL corruption, you would rather make an accusation based on issues that are completely unrelated. It's incredibly smooth-brained to think "politician did bad in this, so politician did bad here also." This isn't a mafia game or Among Us. It's the real world, where we all do something wrong at some point. The truth is that one sin does not guarantee another specific sin.
At the end of the day, this is frivolous at best. At worst, it's advocacy for some type of pre-crime judgment, CCP-style.
EDIT: And no, me calling you out on your idiocy is not ad hominem attack. Your idiocy does not make you wrong. What makes you wrong is stated above. Also, are you contending I am wrong because I'm not done with college yet?

And this is an important political issue somehow? I don’t know about you, when it comes to politicians I don’t care about their personal lives. I care only for two questions:
- What are this politicians policies?
- How corrupt is this politician?
Again, anything else is frivolous and to use it as some kind of ad hom or deflection is nonsensical. You can cry about “me no like this person” all you want, but all it does is make you look foolish and obsessed.
