277 and 283 do not help Wylted here.There’s other things at play but my slight townread of him has evaporated at this point. There is exactly one scenario in which he’s town here

Dude I just woke up. Give me a bit. Initial thought is Savant.
Didn’t see Wylted’s claim until lunatic made a point about it. I think I do want his full, actually. As well as Savants.
You and Lunatic I haven’t fully ironed out.
What made you so quick to tr banana?

I don’t think Mikal is gonna give any claim of any kind today.

Not sure when I’ll wake up in the morning, should be some time before noon. Expect me to be active by then.

Lunatic posted. That’ll help for the morning. The logic is… okay, I guess.

@WyIted
A few things:
1. Savant is my top scumread rn. I’m not buddying him. The point of buddying is to “townread” a townie, hoping they townread you in return. Sure nice language and whatnot can help, but that’s when added onto a townread.
2. I’ve made early game jokes before. Personally I don’t scumread fluff unless there’s nothing to go along with it. The fluff outside the early game jokes was just pure boredom.
3. I have given analysis, see my thoughts on you and Savant. The only reason these aren’t hard reads is because there’s not been a lot of posting.
4. I said “here” DP1 (post 46 or 49- I had a link to it earlier) of Diary Mafia. I was town then. Savants example works as well (I forgot i had even checked in like that so early last game).

I read the back and forth between Wylted and Savant again, as well as the conversation between Wylted and Pie. After eyeing the details, I simply don’t care about it.
Anyway I’ll post a full set of reads in the morning. I’m not gonna push myself to do it tonight.
I do think Casey had a scum incentive to at least mull a Wylted’s case on me, so the fact that she “doesn’t see it” is a small sign of towniness. I say small for reasons that will be covered tomorrow

@Earth
I was asking Wylted if he was just going after me to see how people would react to it.

@Earth
Why only character? If you really need that much help reading him, shouldn't you want his role?

Anyway, I’ll need to read the conversation between Wylted and Savant a bit closer when I get home soon, but I’m thinking Savant rn

So, does Mikal do this as town? Cause he did rage at me a little like this last game, although this time the threat is less than last time. I can see the frustration at least.

I guess if he’s going to be that inactive this DP I don’t hate the idea either. I want to see a few more from a couple other people before I decide to join that wagon tho

Lmao @ me pinging Mikal last night, not seeing post 98.

So, what was the thought process behind delaying those reads? Was it what you’ve already said, or is there more to it?

Null on Lunatic, Earth, and Casey. Thoughts, you guys?

Oh and as for my effort: pretty much depends on what mood I’m in. That’s all there is to it. My effort depends on much I feel like it

Have I given that thought before in this thread?

There are train tracks about 2/3 mile down the road from my house. Honestly the sound of one at night makes for soothing white noise. Sounds weird to say but whatever.
Would not be as nice if I lived next to them I think.

As for your set of reads, thank you. Helps me read you, and I’ll look at some of your other points on the morning. I already skimmed them but I’ll engage with them more.

@Savant
I don’t think there’s a real point in pursuing Mikal for a claim yet. I’d give him more time to check in before that.
As for your read on me, noted. I was joking and fluffing a bit out of boredom. The townlean points have truth to them, although some of it easy to fake as town.
The votes on RM and Earth were for reaction baiting. I thought RM would /out before the game started, so I went for him bc I haven’t played with him in a while, + I felt he was likely to give a reaction that would help read him. Saw he was offline for a long time and figured he would’ve /out-ed if he was more active at that time, so I switched to Earth upon seeing he was online recently but didn’t stop by the DP to say anything.

Everywhere you look, the private sector is more efficient than the govt. I would not make that comparison to mass production (a creation of the private sector btw). Private schools have always found efficient ways to interact with each other and deal with transfer students.

@Savant
They say homicide is intent plus opportunity.
I’m going to guess there are a couple thousand people in the entirety of the US who would assassinate a politician when given a golden opportunity. The thing is, they never get the chance, often due to their own insanity that (thankfully) causes them to get in their own way, but also due to the intense security every politician has protecting them. Yes the occasional close call happens, but usually they are shut down before the would-be assassin can actually harm anyone. Knowing this, a lot of the wackos that are thinking of assassinating a politician tend not to even try. So the mere presence of security an active defense of its own.
But the idea you have proposed circumvents that. All some wacko needs to do is file a paper on whatever day they feel motivated enough to do so. The opportunity is right there for the taking, plus the punishment is less harsh, removing a key disincentive.
I can imagine some desperate bum deciding to blame all their problems on the system and just filing a paper. Not only could they remove a (relatively) decent politician from office, but they could do so while getting to enjoy free meals and healthcare from the state.
Situations like those are why this is not a good idea.
Instead, we need to get voters to actually put voting pressure on politicians to adopt some new policies. I’ll give a couple good ideas to start:
-Rid the election system of ballot limitations that perpetuate the two-party system
-No more stock trading for the immediate families of national and state level politicians.

Also worth noting that some school districts intentionally keep parents in the dark sometimes

I wonder if school would be better if parents attended it with their kids and voiced their views on subjects.Ethics, History, the use of various skills such as math.Sure there's Parent Teacher Meetings and Parents Day Show and Tell,But parents look awful divorced from their children's education to me.. . . Not that most of them have 'time to attend school, but I wonder if it'd improve their kids education or not.
Total. Education. Privatization.

93 from me does not account for 92 from you. Sure I’ll wait a little, but I prefer you drop those relatively soon.
I don’t think this is a game where we can sit around and wait too long for everyone else to show up. Someone’s gotta drive the activity, and we’re the ones who are actually active rn

Wylted trying to insta solve off of a minute detail from Whiteflame about discord PMs does resemble his town play. But he knows I caught him over not doing that last game. We’ll see how it develops as the game goes along. That’s why these reads are only slight. Good start tho
I see Savants stated reason for delaying his reads- but ive known him to be one that analyses every little post. The thing about town metas like that is that they are hard af to fake as scum, so it feels like a cop-out. Especially since throwing out the first scumread or lean of the game will always draw attention. Yes I know his reads were less accurate at the start last game, but that’s always a given, so not much of a need to delay. Bad start imo

Anybody else got any reads rn? Null on Wylted and Savant, maybe a tad bit uneasy.
