As a reminder, it's a gladiator where thread locks, me and the person I challenge have to answer a survey question, and whoever gets an answer closer to what the majority of the other people pick wins the match and the other gets lynched.
Sounds like a role that easily get scum out of a lynch in a pinch, but also seems busted in a 3v8. This variation seems to be one that disincentivizes testing it. All of this makes me think it could be a fake claim.
Nonetheless, Mikal, you have been doing a lot things that are hard to fake as scum, plenty of small details you’ve looked at. Very good signs of towniness. I’ll guess I’ll let you cook.
Nonetheless, Moozer and Austin, your interrogation will be later this DP. I will use the time we have this DP. I’ll need to revisit my thoughts on Banana too, but I still think she’s town behaviorally.

The fact that all three of you don’t want to go for it makes me wonder if I’m correct in calling out the potential plan of Austin’s. I guess it’s your job to tell me why that can’t be the case.

Honestly, given how similar Wylted’s fake claim was to his actual character, I don’t think he used the fake character claim. I think he just looked for something similar to his own show.
I had an earlier theory that the theme split is dating game shows vs. all else btw. It wouldn’t make sense for a fake claim to be aligned with scum’s side of the theme split.
Granted, my theory might just be wrong because maybe Wylted didn’t make the mistake of having his fake claim be within the theme split, but it’s worth noting.

I havent fully thought every path out just yet, but I think if there’s a case to be had on Whiteflame, it’s not gonna be in this discussion.
And going for a Whiteflame lynch over Moozer or Austin feels like a “dog trying to grab the bone in the reflection moment”
We have guaranteed scum among those two and I think the “better poe” we get for lynching Whiteflame could carry some assumptions that might not be true.
Occam’s razor says we just lynch within today’s CC.

Genuinely wondering if this is town v town and we’re dealing with Austin and Earth, maybe Austin and someone else.
I haven’t even thought about scum teams containing Banana it this point.
But if you ask me, Austin should be our lynch. I just townread Moozer a tad bit more. It sounds crazy given some of the weird things Moozer has said (his response to me about my “baiting him to reveal he’s talking on discord,” the Freudian slip Pie alleged from last DP) but Moozer says weird stuff like that all the time, furthermore, he had the chance to back out of the CC but didn’t.
Still really looks like Austin was setting something up, and I don’t fully buy it comes from a town perspective.

If Whiteflame is scum it’s hard to imagine Austin as the teammate. No chance he would sac himself for someone also on the chopping block. If it’s Whiteflame, it’s probably that Moozer made a mistake.

I guess we can still test him, but here’s a thought: Moozer had a chance to back out of the CC when I asked him to check his chat logs. He didn’t.
Thing is, if Moozer is scum, he made a mistake… but if it’s Austin, he has a plan. I’m a little bit sus of the whole “I’m baiting scum into CCing” thing only for someone just to happen to fall for it. Genuinely wonder if he planned to use himself as a sacrificial piece.
Ex:
7v2 - Moozer gets mislynched
5v2- Austin gets lynched
4v1- Earth just needs to survive this one DP, looks townier off of Moozer cop
2v1- Earth wins with politician vote
Alternatively, someone other than Earth could try to get Earth mislynched DP4 or 5 on the grounds he’s survived that long (or other stuff), and they also only need to surivive one DP. It’d have to be someone largely townread, so it can’t be Whiteflame. I’d say Savant or Mikal. Mikal is especially interesting because town investigatives could mess such a plan up, and he really seems to want the item… don’t understand the sudden desire to lynch Whiteflame now, despite the CC.
Like I said. Still down to test Moozer’s role, but I kinda wanna vote Austin.
