Ok so the state receives some from the fed. Tbh, I would prefer each state have their own pool, outside of interstate travel.
Not exactly one of my major issues though. I suppose if they are getting money from the fed, the fed has the right to make sure it’s spent well.

Last thing I’m gonna say is that it’s best that affiliations don’t get swapped when a universal backup is used. I think in game mechanics it’s best that affiliation and role are treated separately.

role legendary. Once a game can announce they are legendary which does absolutely nothing but it may help you feel better.

I felt like I was playing out of my mind in some areas this game, but I could’ve done so much better at so many different points this game.

Fair. My #1 piece of advice for any setup creator is: Do not be redundant. If townhas three or more roles that can do a similar thing, you need to make some cuts. The limit is two; the limit becomes one for the stronger roles + scum roles imo. Maybe you can get away with more in a larger setup, but “less is more” is a great motto for this.

I’m not banning Greyparrot from my games. Dude just needs to adjust how he plays. I’m ok with having some non-tryhards as well.
I would love to grow the community to a size where we can separate the tryhards from the casuals, but that’s not gonna happen for some time.

Oh yeah another thing that could have fucked us was that we all sucked at fake claiming this game so basically we kind of all used each others roles. If we had been lynched in a different order would would have fucked each other lol
Ha. I knew the claims were off. Had a feeling there were no protective roles with town. My idea is that if there’s not multiple, then there’s none because wylted isn’t invested in nerfing the town killing roles.
Although come to think of it, town protective roles would just buff the town killing roles, since they have lower odds of hitting town.

When you’re caught because of POE over behavior it kind of sucks. But is what it is.
I had behavioral reasons to scumread you. I did feel your early vote on Banana was pretty bold. I would’ve left it there but then you said we were “making a mountain out of a molehill.”
The other one was I knew I was getting buddied, even during DP4.
Did you really waive the NK, as I predicted? I felt like you had to make that play in NP3.

Greyparrot, I’m not gonna pretend I didnt make mistakes, but please be patient in these situations.
Also, don’t have a town meta where you reveal your role at the start. You’ll find that the scum team can’t exploit you as easily when you’re town, and that you don’t have to fake claim right off the bat when you’re scum.

Seconding these statements from Pie and Wylted. Townies very rarely get away with not full claiming when pressured for it in a way that helps town.
Mafia is kinda like chess. There are unofficial rules to play by. You learn those rules first and develop those good habits, and then you learn the rare exceptions where you break the rules. The latter process can take years. I recommend noobs strive to have good fundamentals.

You’re still new to this and noobs get destroyed for quite some time before they start getting good at a game like this.
You’re improving.
In theory your CC was a good idea. In reality, we had a bit of non-standard setup for this game. Nothing wrong with this, just that it presents an extra challenge for town. I kinda fell for the false dichotomy between you and Vader as well.
Normally, however, there is space for two kinds of the same role in a setup. For example, a doctor could be included with a bulletproof. Both block night kills, but in two different ways.
Same with your role and Vader’s, what tripped me up here is that two killings roles in the hands of town is quite powerful, and I felt that was a bit much. Where I went wrong is that killing roles can be somewhat neutral in utility, since they can hit both town and scum. And of course, a 14 player setup does mitigate some of the chaos of killing roles.
I don’t know if that was your thought process, but I assume you had a similar error in your reasoning. Good learning experience.

My 2c here is that we can’t just bet on the mod message being a misdirect when it comes to Austin. I have no problem falling for it if it’s a misdirect.
As for Greyparrot, maybe the same thing, but I think it’s one heck of a plan, even for a teammate to come up with.
Lynch order is probably best at Whiteflame-Barney-Lunatic since the odds someone gets co firmed and exposes Greyparrot get higher each time.
