I think it could go either way really. On one hand, it seems unlikely for scum to claim so early and with such a weird character.
On the other hand, I wouldn’t rule out some WIFOM strategy. The whole minister thing could have been an accident.

Well in that case, I was going to do this last night but I forgot. Here's some reads.
Town:
Banana, Austin: Banana is a new player and I don't see anything suspicious behaviorally. Austin has been pretty active, but beyond that he's provided us with lots of reads and real stuff rather than fluff posting.
Lean Town:
Luna, Whiteflame: Mostly based on activity at this point. Not much else to go on DP1
Null:
Casey, Earth, Vader: In order from most to least scummy IMO. Again, it's mostly activity, (so I can't really be talking), but I'm also getting different behavioral vibes from Casey as Austin mentioned. Same thing happened last game and I was wrong, so still not much to go on.

Moozer, I hope you can see my post was pure unadulterated 100% certified origin mockery?
However low you think of me, I'm not that dumb.
but not when judging the generalization
That's what I'm saying, you shouldn't be judging a generalization, you should be judging individuals.
The reason people are upset is because it's already a well known fact that mass influx of poor people with different language and culture is going to create problems.
What problems? I can't think of any really big ones, so please elaborate.

The key to being anti-racist is to ascribe all traits to race and then refuse to acknowledge the existence of fault individually or collectively of any race except something call "Caucasian". That's what I've picked up anyway, but it can be more complicated because individuals can present as the faultless non-caucasian but on the inside they're the dreaded evil race.
Here’s my POV on this. I think the real way to be anti-racist is just to be colorblind in a way. That used to be the guidance but know they’ve changed it to that we should acknowledge that the races are different from each other. I think you should see color and race, you just shouldn’t let it affect anything. Yes, certain races do have different cultures and stereotypes, but it’s better to see that sometimes those do affect people, but not always. Stereotypes can be real, but it’s best to ignore them when judging someone.

When Trump was saying he agrees there should be exceptions for rape and incest when it comes to abortion, Harris should have said of course you do.
Honestly, that would have been hilarious. It would have been horrible politically, but still hilarious.

Each of you is a current living Indian Politician.
Didn’t see this at first. That helps me a lot because I was researching people from the last century, so now I feel stupid. BTW, I don’t know anything about the topic currently, but I am doing as much outside research as I can.
Alright, so here's an idea to get things moving: how about we all say what party our characters belong to? I feel like that might be a decent way to start. I'll go first. My politician is a member of BJP.
I like that. I’m also BJP, and I’m in the Rayja Shaba.

@Sidewalker
Why did you think that? I don’t even know what that is supposed to mean, can you explain what it means? How does it work exactly?
I mean that God was working through the people that wrote it at the time. I does say in the Bible that “all scripture is breathed out by god”, but that is a bit self-referential and Meta.
Notwithstanding your contention that God wrote it,
Explain?
It would be utterly remarkable is there were no contradictions in a book of that nature.
Yeah, when you explain it like that it does make sense. However It does feel like God would have stepped in and clarified what he actually said when it was finally written down. However that brings up the whole problem of divine Hiddeness which is a whole other animal.
What do you mean by “problems of God”? If you assume that “it’s an answer”, then please tell me, what was the question?
I was referring to the arguments of Atheism. The Problem of Evil, the problem of Divine Hideness, the problem of non-resistant non-believers, etc.

Either that was a lie, or this is.
Or he really was just doing it as some form of political unity. I don’t buy it completely, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a completely viable option.

Apparently it was a 9/11 gesture of unity. Obviously it was a horrible idea, but he is 81. My point is, there at least was reasoning. Not good reasoning, but it’s better than just wearing it for not reason.

I’d even add to that by saying that Trump should have been defining her too. The debate should have been about Kamala by all means, but Trump always wants it to be about him, and Kamala is still dodging the press as much as she can.

@badger
She could have given us one last show and dragged him across the stage kicking and screaming. Instead she was all heart and empathy and bright future and whatever.
Yeah, especially considering that this debate didn’t matter at all. We are long past the time for persuasion, and the total number of undecided voters is essentially Zero.

@Swagnarok
That’s valid I guess. For what it’s worth, here’s a fact check done by Politifact. It has Trump lying about twice as much as Harris, but again, that doesn’t leave her blameless.
Created:

@Swagnarok
She lied as boldly as Trump and at this point I think there's no going back.
I don’t doubt that she did bend the truth a little, but explain how it was more blatant that Trump?

@Owen_T
I think Kamala said it best with her line, “same old tired playbook”. There’s no new info in there, and we’ve all heard his pitch. His job was to paint Harris as the San Francisco radical, and he failed at that by defaulting to his old habits. Kamala came off looking much better and much more mature. This debate was a referendum on her, not Trump, but his ego can’t take that.

aaaaand there’s 6 and 7.
Another noticing, he has redirected about half of the prompts he got to the border issue, even if they have nothing to do with it. I expected this to a degree, but at this point it’s getting a bit ridiculous.

Okay, first impressions, what is Trump looking at this whole time? Harris is looking into the camper when she speaks, but is think Trump is looking at the moderator for some reason.
This just struck me as kinda odd for some reason.

If anyone else wants to watch it live, you can use this thread to talk about it. I’ll try to post a few times throughout.

I thought the Bible was supposedly written by god. If that’s just the Old Testament, there are plenty of contradictions there too.
For me, I have no problem believing that a character from ancient history existed named Jesus but that Christians have cloaked in a myth. Jesus was a Jew through and through and I am of the opinion that Jesus would have been absolutely applaud that a whole new religion had sprung up in his name.
While I agree that Jesus probably did exist, he must have been going around claiming to be the son of god if everyone believed so. In that case, I don’t think you can claim that and then not expect some people to believe you and start a religion.
I am sure there are millions of Christians that feel the same. But the problem there is that Christians, instead of researching for themselves, have been totally reliant on pastors and priests to do the "clarifying" for them And is all they have managed to do was dig the hole of ambiguity ever deeper.
Yeah, sometimes I feel like that just because they have heard that there is an answer for the problems of God, they just assume that it’s an answer that makes sense, or works.

@Stephen
Fair enough, but surely he could have anticipated that dialect and language would change. For his work to truly be prefect, he would come down every so often and clarify his word, right? The amount of problems that the contradictions have cause in that so many people don’t believe in him because of that seems like it should necessitate some clarification by himself.
Created:

@Stephen
Indeed. When Jesus speaks of being "one with the lord" 0r "I and the Father are one" it means nothing more than being in agreement.
Well then why didn’t he say that he is in agreement with the father? The fact that he said that in such a way that people can reasonably get confused seems like an imperfection to me.

@Savant
But you can’t be greater than what you are, you can only be equal to what you are. If they are one, then there is not 1/3 and 2/3 thing, that line says they are one, expect they aren’t, except they are.

Would you consider doing a debate titled:It is more likely than not that a God exists?Or at least conversate about it if you prefer?
I did that one once before. I'd be open to doing it again, just know that I might take a while with my arguments, I'm pretty busy right now.

I’m an agnostic Atheist. I think it’s possible that God exists, just very improbable.
My reasoning is mostly the problem of evil, specifically animal evil and natural evil.
Divine hiddeness, inconsistency in revaluations and non-resistant non-believers also are good arguments in my opinion.

@Casey_Risk
Alright, I’ve made my decision. I still have some gut feelings about Casey, but logically Joebob seems the most scummy to me. The 1x roleblocked claim seems a little off to me, but what sold it the most was the Luna NK tonight and the Vader wagon on Casey’s side.
VTL Joebob
Created:

In retrospect, I'm actually leaning more for Joebob to be lynched. 1x Vig seems like a weird scum role to claim, but then he conveniently got roleblocked and we haven't seen anyone else do that yet. Maybe it's a 1x.
He also was the one to Hammer Owen last round, I had attributed that to Casey, but I guess I forgot what really happened. I'll think on it for a bit, but I will say that I will vote before the day is out.

Alright, I think all that needs to be said has been said really, so I'm gonna take a look at the older DPs and then I'll make a decision. Can't promise it will be by the end of today, but I'll try.

@Casey_Risk
Hmm. Is there a way you could maybe paraphrase it, in your own words, without using ChatGPT or another AI?
Well Earth did actually ban Chat GPT this game, but this should be okay. It starts with a sentence saying what happened in my year. Then there is a sentence that starts by elaborating on what happened that year, and then it goes on to say that because of what happened in that year, I can do a specific thing. Then there is a sentence clarifying a thing about the role, and one saying my alignment.

- DP3 - I had already been sussing Owen, then Luna claimed to have a smoking gun.
Yeah, but I also had a smoking gun that proved his innocence. That at least deserves a minute to stop and think.
Created:

One thing that does throw me off is the Luna lynch. It makes some sense because he was town confirmed at that point, but I was sure if Casey was scum I would be lynch.
Lunatic was buddying Casey and I figured Joebob would be a much better scapegoat than me, so that would be an easy lynch in Casey’s part.
Created:

@Casey_Risk
I’m leaning towards VTLing you fyi. You seemed a bit off in the first DP, and you have been wrong about theist lynch. It’s not just that you were wrong though, it’s that you were so adamantly sure about your decision, and you led the wagon.
On the other hand, you did lead the lynch on Vader.
I am pretty pissed at Luna for that annoying play though. I see no good reason for lying other than just trolling us. We could definitely have won last round but that tripped us up.
Also, why did we lynch so fast? I had some thoughts and I wasn’t that sure about the Owen lynch either.

I think it’s more likely for there to be 3 vanillas than just 2. The way I see it, if you’re going to comit to a game with vanillas you go all the way.
More thoughts coming BTW
Created:

Okay, so that town confirms Luna and Owen unless there are 3 scum.
That leaves it to Joebob or Casey, and honestly they both seem equally appealing for scum to me.
