@MisterChris
If you are very active in debating and understand how and when Rating is calculated, you'd know that you gain more and lose less by consistently having your 'sure wins' happen as late as possible and risky outcomes happen as early as possible. I know that my Rating here is average, but that's because of both having people out to vote against me at any given opportunity as well as frequent phases of laziness and abandoning debates in bursts to deal with shit IRL.
If you actually analyse me when I try, I understand 'mass-debating' (funny name, I know) more than any other user here.
The reason you want sure wins to happen as late as possible and risky outcomes to come as fast as possible is because against good opponents, you want to have the outcome hit you before the outcomes with weakers opponents occur (because you gain more and lose less while your Rating has taken hits but gain less and lose more when your Rating is on a 'high').
Of course, if you truly look deeper I am wrong in the times where everyone is preying on the same 'easy win' victim. In these times, you want to all compete to finish the debates ASAP as the Rating of the opponent is decaying fast and that outweighs any stalling benefit.

I have now essentially played out every scenario of this in my head and bear in mind that I can change my vote later, one per category, so this is my vote for users and debates:

It's lose-lose. Those are easy votes for vote-garnering medal hunters and such. Those getting the win will want the win late as possible unless their opponent is a usually strong one (but then why are they conceding) the reasoning behind it is rating gain vs loss buffering.

Please make a notification for everyone again, many 'noobies' or 'casuals' voted in the last one purely due to that site-wide notification for the thread.

@bsh1
I will think on the other 2 categories, especially as it appears people are voting for people they didn't before and vice versa.
A definite debate vote will be this: Firing Squad is the best form of capital punishment
I cannot come up with which 2 others I specifically want as I do not want to waste a single vote here and while I do vote with my heart, I also vote with my head in that I want my vote to end up influencing who wins or not.

I compliment bsh1 for being a real G. He is a tough nut to crack when it comes down to raw grit and tenacity. I admire it in him and always did, he was one of my favourite DDO users but he's changed... Both for the better and worse.
Thats as good a compliment as you'll get.

What is your higher purpose? Accidentally getting what I worked hard to earn?
Talking about literal terrorism and child molestation as offhand jokes and genuine threats? Fuck off man and pick on someone you can win against.

Wylted, I think what you just said speaks volumes for your own moral integrity. You are talking to someone who loathes DDO with a passion and never made the DDO HoF. Do not appeal to DDO politics and society ever again, when trying to convince me. DDO was a corrupt pigsty.

It is not YOU, it is that you admitted THERE IS a group PM where they ACTIVELY discuss this website's goings on. This means the 'secret meeting place' now has realism to it and your evidence as in those screenshots you speak of, show it exists and is used in that way at the very least. I am aware you lack the chat at the time of arranging this event, I never for a second thought you were behind it, you are too proud to do something like this for superficial status.
Created:
Posted in:
If this was a criminal conspiracy case, this would be absolutely sufficient grounds to get the warrant to read the PMs, I guarantee it.
Created:
Posted in:
It is incriminating, it shows consistent socialising outside of the website between the group, did they share any PMs around the time of posting here (just prior to it) with Bsh1? Would they be willing to? Are they going to deny any such chat took place, has he seen what they did and didn't arrange?
You can argue 'privacy', that's fine. Innocent until proven guilty, right? What about circumstantial evidence? What about six months of no activity and suddenly three accounts pop up, with Thett3 being there too in a five-minute window? What about their buddy Resurget (surprised ShabShoral didn't show)? Are we going to allow four out of the five vote to be validated?

@Christen
Thank you very much Christen for introducing me to a way more reliable and secure than screenshotting to help handle if someone deletes a post:
He just explicitly admitted to there being a group PM, demand him right now to divulge the information on PM. This must be investigated to the fullest.

Wylted, I love you and think that everyone here knows you weren't in on the campaign that masterminds carried out in order to nominate someone they all know doesn't deserve to be there.
No offence.
Oh by the way, I'm genuinely serious, it's very obvious you're not behind it like this is actually not sarcasm. To be behind it would take cunning and wit.
No offence.

Sometimes I really wonder how many layers of sarcasm and trolling there are to Bsh1's moderating. Like sometimes I legit don't know if the guy is just a hyperdeveloped troll fooling us all into thinking he cares or is simply naive and literally goes lenient at random and strict at random out of something other than bullshit impulse.
I am secretly rooting for the former and I found a way to enjoy Bsh1 by appreciating how sophisticated he is at making the persona seem genuine.

Would you like to tell us what contributions, other than patreon, Wylted has made to the website that you believe deem him worthy of the nomination?

@Vader
Your personal opinion on what is deserved or not are irrelevant to the corruption and bullshit 'too cute' excuse for allowing what happened. It wasn't cute, I didn't enjoy it. I win regardless, I still hate it. It's not about me, if you honestly don't feel sick about what happened here, and do not seriously worry for Bsh1's competence as a chief mod at this point, I don't know what to fucking say.
This is not skirting on the edge of anything, this is requiring people to give EVIDENCE of THEIR OWN COLLUSION in order to say they colluded, I have never ever seen something so utterly stupid in a long time, I am deadly serious.

Or, maybe, it is you who should shut up about it. After all, it is you who broke the collusion rule and who spent over four, well really over six, months doing nothing for the website whatsoever until you turn up to troll the HoF pregame and Round 1.

Anyone at all can vote (other than a banned user on an alt) but there was a group who arranged a four-man troll vote thing that we want disqualified. You are completely free to vote. 3 noms in all 3 categories.

In all communities online, the society respecting some within it for their contributions, is universal. The focus on debate is the superfluous element of this website, relative to the rest.

It's not about that. The winner is not at all necessarily the best debater (though that can play into it) it's about reputation and status in the community.

You are being robbed of your chance to compete in Round 2 due to a rule-breaking campaign and arranged troll-voting gang. Will you voice your defence or let yourselves be trodden upon? What about the four-pointers and three-pointers who now won't have people vote for them because it will be a waste?
This is outrageous, how is this allowed when the rules explicitly stated not to do it? Do you think that accidentally four people voted 2 candidates in common with each other, all posting within 15 mins of each other?

There are no prerequisites or eligibility requirements for users to participate in the Hall of Fame nominating process, except that they have an account on DART and are not voting/nominating from more than one account. Importantly, coordinating votes or launching campaigns for induction are prohibited.

As far as comic book villains go, my favourite is Magneto by far. There is such depth and even ways of seeing him as the hero in X-Men that are not really paralleled in the rest of the Comic Universe (which prefers to depict villains as 'villains' in general).
Magneto came from a Concentration Camp as a Jew. He had seen the world from the perspective of someone persecuted by human authorities from a young age through to adulthood for simply being what he was; A Jew at first, a mutant later. His mother was raped, beaten and he was powerless if not for his mutant capabilities (which were still weak back then in comparison to his later years). He saw how utterly bad it was to be powerless, when against powerful evil, and decided to become powerful in order to stop them. The reason he became a villain was because he refused to ever consider that humans being in charge could ever result in a good endgame for the mutants and in fact he was proven correct again and again, even being the singular reason that the X-Men weren't annihilated by human authorities at 2 points in the storyline.

Later on I switched my nomination for you, to another user, but the primary reason was that my vote for you was going to become totally wasted while a worthy contender was going to be out-voted by people I didn't deem as necessarily more deserving of the HoF.

Chilled out or not, you are really fucking over all the 5-pointers by what you've allowed to happen to Wylted's nomination count thanks to this coordinated troll attack.
