No, I'm discussing a topic in a forum post dedicated to that topic

What if the 6-year-old girl wants hormone therapy?

"lets pretend that a 14 year-old is capable of making this decision"

I buy that this is cheaper for Japan in the short term. The US should probably boost oil extraction so we can compete on price, but that's unlikely under the current administration.

I definitely think this is going to come back to bite Japan in the long term, if only because a stronger Russia hurts everyone.

Probably true, unfortunately.

Biology really reinforces the pro-life side, which is why the pro-choice camp tries to avoid making the debate about science as much as possible.

The mother does not have a right to kill a human life that is not part of her body, that she caused to exist.
It says quite a bit that a certain person on this thread has not attempted to counter this point.

We really need a quota on these kinds of posts.

I wouldn't worry too much about accounts that are clearly not arguing in good faith.

I always think it's kind of an uphill battle to argue that a being who is perfect by definition is evil, wicked, etc. and it's surprising to me that atheists use that argument so frequently.

Indictment is basically just impeachment in likelihood of leading to jail time. I don't know why these people keep getting excited about it.

Japan banned earthquakes and they haven't had one since. That said, I'm not sure how much of that we can attribute to the ban. One strong argument I've seen is that if we ban earthquakes, hurricanes will just kill people instead (like in Britain). It's a matter of balancing constitutional rights with public safety.
Regardless, I think that earthquakes should at least be banned in public schools, and anything stronger than Category 7 should be banned overall. If the founding fathers had known how intense earthquakes would be today, I think they'd have come out against them more strongly.

True. Anecdotal evidence for this sort of thing goes both ways, so it's not very useful.

They're fine with anyone having an opinion as long as it's the "right" one.

I think most people agree that leaving Americans behind was a screw-up (see Biden's approval rating). It's only a few loud leftists defending him.

I don't like how common strawman arguments from the left have become. If you oppose sex-change operations on minors, apparently you want them to kill themselves.
What does "conservatives" here even mean? Far-right? Right-leaning? Anyone who opposes sex-change operations on twelve-year-olds?

Yeah, I'm not against holding politicians accountable on either side of the aisle, but this is clearly being done for media attention and not because it will lead to a conviction.

I don't understand the people keep making legal arguments when the question specifically asks about morality. It backfires too because abortion is banned in some places; I suppose they must think it is murder there.
