Based on that response from drafterman, I don’t think it’s worth trying. That virtually guarantees that Pie is popular since that appears to be the only role one could have that would allow you to reach 6/6 without resulting in a lynch or NL scenario.

The mod just confirmed that if there were a Judas in the game, upon being lynched the day phase would have ended (so Pie wouldn't have died but the day phase would be over). Since the DP progressed we know Pie is Popular.

Even so I'm not convinced a Popular role is necessarily town (since the role list doesn't say that) but I'd be willing to ignore it for now if we can at least verify the role. If Pie turns out to be Judas I'll sus Speed more. But no I am not down to lynch him based on claiming vanilla alone. 

Much as I’m largely inclined to vote Speed in general, and especially so given this claim, I think we’re unlikely to get much out of him at this stage. Could push on him, but I’m not seeing much support for that. However, I am starting to see why others, particularly Danielle, are suspicious of  Supa and we don’t have a claim from him. So, I’ll go in on that.

Why is it wrong for Elminster to wanna lynch Supa based on a read but you want to lynch Speed based on a read? 

There's also a plethora of Speed jumping to large conclusions about the game within DP1, leading me to believe he has more insight than townies might know. He also seems to be accusatory, hypocritcal (calling me out for not overreading Lunatic when he did so himself and then proceeded to say the same thing)

Pure vanilla just doesn't fit the theme. Maybe there are one or two among us just because there usually are a few vanilla players in each mafia game, but I'd say that's the least believable role under this theme. It doesn't inspire any paranoia beyond just making us paranoid about what you could be. Perhaps that's the aim, but I doubt it would be that simple.

I'm not saying that it's impossible for there to be any vanillas, I'm just saying that, unlike with other games of mafia, with this theme, I don't automatically assume there are any. I find the claim harder to believe here. Perhaps I'm wrong, but the claim is impossible to challenge, so it would be suspicious regardless

From what you and croc said, ideally you would not claim dp1 unless you are pressured or have a reason to claim. Grey claimed without either. If there is a way that most people play or are expected to play, doing the exact opposite would be suboptimal would it not?

"perception is reality" is very problematic. That would potentially mean because a person's memory lives on in your heart that euthanizing them may be justified as they are still "alive to you".

as for CRISPR... it doesn't always work, it has problems, but depending on the threshold of "revolutionary" you'll probably always win as pro. It's relatively easy, unless you try to compare it. Like, it is as impacting as cell phones? Probably not. Is it as impacting as even the vaccine for covid-19? Still probably not.

Your brain's information is different from what is actually seen; you interpret and manipulate reality in your favor. You're basically saying whatever people think changes reality. But obviously dreams are not real. So perception =/= reality
