The Supreme Court (maybe a lower court) ruled a while ago the cops CAN lie, to which the videos of people not answering questions. You should be very careful talking to the police, especially if they approach you. Their training involves how to get you to talk and other manipulative tactics.

they are less than $100 and other than what happened in Vegas I have not heard of anyone using them to kill anyone. But again I would refer you to your favorite search engine and videos to see how easy the same thing can be accomplished with ordinary items most people already have.

if anything it would make sense to "annex" Mexico for their oil and other resources. The government is corrupt and the drug cartels run the country. So that would be the first and best place to start, after that just continue south.

lots of countries human rights abuses, should we invade China? N.K? Russia? Mexico? S. American countries? How about the U.S. takes over the whole world?
In the past the U.S. has tried and helped to install people to power whom they thought would be better for that country and the world, mostly they were wrong.

Why can't Africa become a US interest? Africa commits many human rights abuses. The US should do something about it and the US should liberate Africa like it did with Iraq. Once we put military in Iraq, Alquida didn't exist there as badly as it before US interference. When we pulled out our military, ISIS came and committed terrorism against the people there. Africa is similar to the US. If we conditionally annex the region, then 1 billion Africans would be liberated and economic freedom would be expanded.
Many parts of Africa could be considered sh1t holes. We need a better reason to invade other than human rights abuses, whether real or made up. The rest of world wouldn't stand by while the U.S. claimed and took over Africa. That would probably start WW3. Now consider than many countries in Africa and their people would be killed by an armed conflict, including the children you'd like to protect. Casualties of war is a real thing.
Much like Iraq and other places a saying comes to mind that rings most true. Freedom has to be fought for, it just can't be given, it must be earned, something to that effect anyway.
There are several area that I would say are barely inhabitable, so there's really little to no interest for the U.S.
The U.N. is supposed to deal with humanitarian issues, isn't that why the U.S. gives them so much money and all the other countries don't give their agreed to share?
Created:

@Alec
The soldiers protect the US and it's interests by invading Africa because the US gets to expand it's interests into the continent.
you can't really protect something that isn't yours, making Africa an interest isn't the same thing as a duty to protect U.S. interests, since it's not actually an interest, hope you can see the difference.
put another way, is African a U.S. interest? answer is No
does the U.S. military have a duty to risk their lives for what you described? answer is No, because it's not a U.S. interest.

I do not find what Russia does the same as what actual citizens of this country do to be the same. Let me rephrase then, I do not see any elected Democrats denouncing this in any meaningful way, sure there's probably couple here and there who have, but as a political party not so much, considering how they jump on the Russia bandwagon.
fox news is not liberal
WaPo is left leaning but not considered liberal as is Politico.

I don't see how this can be done w/o risking American lives. So the question then becomes is it worth risking American lives to invade Africa, I would say nay-nay. Invading is one thing, but keeping and controlling, well that has it's own issues and problems. Giving arms to other countries and groups hasn't worked out the way they thought, or rarely anyway, so that's probably not a good option either.
What would the U.S. gain if they successfully invaded and took it over?

The wall is mostly symbolic to the people of the country that says we have a right...as a nation...to build a monument to the law and order that preserves the way of life in America. That's functionally much more important to the long term survival of the nation than the ancillary stoppage of ambulatory migrants.
it's proof, visual proof that a President is willing to do something about the issue, all those who are against it aren't offering any better solutions if any solutions at all.

the fact checkers always say they don't use many resources. im sure there's some truth that they do, but i would expect it's just local governmentts footing those bills, so who cares what they spend their money on?also, it would be better to say "we should stop spending money on illegal immigrants" than to say we should build a wall, if that's the case.i actually was against the wall until i saw the crime statistics. but i just take it to the logical conclusion and say we should limit legal immigration too based on race and geographical region.
you must ask why do illegals risk life and limb to get in, obvious they work illegally and also receive benefits, if you remove those things there's very little reason for them to come in illegally, risk vs reward, cost vs benefit.
I would prefer we "stop spending money on illegals" as you said than building the wall, I agree with that, but it's not going to happen.
We should limit legal immigration based on merrit., few other things.
Created:
Posted in:
the reason to keep illegals out is so they don't use our limited resources, like healthcare, schools etc stuff us tax payers pay for. If they couldn't get any of those things few would care if they were in the country or not.
Walls of razor wire, high and deep. Very inexpensive, easy to replace and maintain.
Military bases and training grounds all along the border.
tbh a wall is better than what we have now and no one is willing to come up with better solutions. If the previous administrations had dealt with like they promised we wouldn't need to talk about it now. if you want to lay blame, there you go.

criminals are more likely to kill if there's a gun present.
proof?
you'd like us to believe that a criminal says well I have this gun, may as well kill, or darn if I only had I gun I'd kill. would love to know how you determine that.
also you don't know if all the guns in the world were magically removed that the U.S. wouldn't still have a disproportionately higher murder rate now do you.
how many times is the weapon actually recovered in a murder? I think is very low. Making more laws, bans, whatever won't take the already illegal guns out of criminal's hands would they? There's really no way to stop a criminal from getting a gun so you think you have the answer to that? would love to hear it.

I don't think sex should have a price. I don't think it should be advertised (pimps etc...) and the prostitutes need to he able to contact police. I don't care about the legal status, it should be minimal for the prostitute, whatever mitigates their risk factors, heavy on the black marketeers, probably slap a hefty fine on the buyer but no felonies.
tbh like many of the topics I get involved in, I don't really agree nor disagree but like the nuances and inconsistencies contained in them.
my body my choice except for renting it out, though many do make money with their bodies, modeling for one. Again why is it ok to have random sex for free, but if money is exchanged that's illegal? (assuming consenting adults) What if they have free sex and a tip is left for a job well done? We tip other lines of work, for other reasons, can we call it a gift? donation?
Can I bribe or pay my wife for sex with money? why or why not?

Neither can aborted pre humans. A great reason it has issues still is women like Stormy who use the fact the fucked someone to go after them. Who should be fighting for it is porn stars but they seem to avoid it for some reason.
that is a keen observation I hadn't considered, my initial thought is reducing competition? lol I don't know, but that is something to ponder.
(but pre humans can and do, some even without the help of medicine, but that's getting into the weeds and off topic :) )

Removing cancer ends in death you seem ok with that. The fact is both are religion forcing it's way into other people's choices.
it's not religion if science or it is generally accepted that it is a baby/child whatever, though it's difficult to believe based on the people I have encountered, cancer can never be a child and become an adult.
Prostitution should be far less controversial anyway as we don't really have to argue about defining things or whether a baby is being killed or not etc. It's rather strange that more progress hasn't been made for the very reasons in the video, I think that's a fight that can and should be won but doesn't seem anyone is willing to fight it. Given the women's groups and what they claim they stand for, they would take a more active role in this issue and yet.....
Created:

@Polytheist-Witch
Same reason anti abortion laws are being passed. Christian psychos.
prostitution doesn't end in the death of (x) so that's a terrible comparison, there is no debate of how you define prostitution, 2 consenting adults, but the debate rages on as to what constitutes a baby and or person.

@Mopac
the objection by the religious I get, that I can understand, but the Democrats many of whom aren't religious, yet they make speeches as to how it should be illegal doesn't make sense in addition to the reason you gave.
All I can say is it's about control, that's what most laws do imo, under the guise of protection, they control, and it's just getting worse, think about.

well I don't know, if the number of gun purchases going up and the number of people, yet murders are going down, doesn't seem like the guns are the problem or that laws are the solution.

I disagree, there are more evil and insane people who murder in the U.S. and I would draw your attention to the following
then when you look at their methods "do a search for (How did Dahmer kill his victims?)" and you maybe quite surprised.
teaching people, especially kids how to deescalate and how to resolve conflicts properly is key and studies have been done, I believe I posted one either here or the other thread.
We agree that:
people shouldn't murder other people
teaching how to resolve conflicts and deescalate situations so they don't become violent has multiple benefits in people not getting hurt or killed just to name a couple.
we agree on those yes?
as far as your last point about knowing something wouldn't happen isn't possible and I don't know or understand what you mean by a normal person. You don't become a criminal until you break a law so again not understanding that last part. It doesn't sound relevant anyway.
Created:
Posted in:

@linate
nobody can explain why non gun homicides are within normal territory, but gun homicides are wildly out of whack. it's obvious it's more than just bad people, but a gun problem too.
I'm not sure what's to explain, but consider this, if someone is going to kill someone else the best tool for that job is a gun, doesn't mean you couldn't do it many other ways, but it is the most effective and efficient, thought that was common knowledge.
why do you think individuals purchasing guns is going down? and what if any effect do you think that has on the murder rate?
