@SkepticalOne
great idea to sue lol, maybe he gets it back, but the court can't force Trump to select him to ask question or to answer any questions he shouts out. Picking battles is very important imo, this is not how they should have done it, though time will tell. If I was Trump I'd just ignore the little prick and or subtlety punish the rest for his behavior and let the group/mob put the pressure on him. Trump is an Alpha, Acosta is a Beta trying to be an Alpha, Trump need to be an Omega.

He tried to backtrack a bit. The idea of them fending for themselves collectively makes sense and is a great idea. Though i would give him a big F.U. for the comment of having to defend themselves against the U.S. that would never happen, and they couldn't anyway.

If GP gets lynched and flips inno, I would be down to lynch eitherA) WarrenB) Wylted
I would sub GP with either A or B and put GP as either A or B.

a tentative vote for Wylted might stir things up a bit, and bring out some lurkers.....just a though.

@Greyparrot
We have 2 dead innocents, correct? It appears those who "suspected" them and called for their demise may have an agenda. While Supa could be chalked up to a mistake, 2 in a row could be the beginning of a pattern.
I'll have to go back and see who was calling for them to be lynched. Just because Budda wasn't isn't relevant as the end result is still the same.

@warren42
the way I read it is, he was going to make it happen regardless, when it was evident that it was going to happen, he voted for someone else. There's a sense of someone who is really good at getting others to do their dirty work for them. He pushed pretty hard on Supa who was innocent. Now his sights are on GP......
Created:
Posted in:
Wylted is subtle in leading people to conclusions and decisions he would like them to make.......the first vote makes me think this. Someone who was going to wait to the last minute to cast a vote to make sure the lynching happened, but then not doing so when not needed. We should re-examine that.

multiple studies have been done about fatherless homes, unwed mothers, high school drop out rates etc, while that's just a small portion of the larger social issues, imo that is the very base and beginning of what we are seeing today. The shouts for mental health and other reforms are just that, a lot of hot air. While I didn't and don't like Obama I had high hopes he would do something, instead it tried to push his anti gun agenda and increase purchases through the roof. While not much as still been done, it's more than 8 years of Obama, even if all they do is talk about it. Trump has given some limited press on the subject of prison reforms etc. Hopefully something will and can be done, but I don't have high hopes. The only way to have true affect and success is to control the will rather than the means, removing the will makes the means irrelevant. But that requires a level of morality, ethics and values. For many those things are lost or never were. Society needs to reclaim them somehow.

I think if you don't pay or break your contract they block the imei to stop you from using it all together or with a different service provider. In essence it's a way to repo the phone, sort of. Far more cost effective and effective that suing in small claims or hiring a collections agency. I'm sure it's part of the contract you agree to when buying the phone or service.

California needs more guns laws, like magazines with 10 or less rounds so you can't shoot more than 10 people.

humanity becoming educated
this is the very core imo, this is how people become sell sufficient and responsible, handouts and entitlements as the primary source of "help" keeps people poor and dependent, teaching a man to fish is really the only true way to help.

children are generally teachable hehe politicians who are mostly lawyers go through 8 years of grueling college to learn and hone this skill, and some make a great deal of money doing it. But w/o going too far into the weeds, civility is all but dead, we are near the bottom imo as evidenced by violence against those whom they disagree with. I see no turning back from the polarization.

what has surprised me is the other reporters don't put pressure on him or black ball him. The time he uses and wastes is time they could be asking questions etc He's like the basketball player who hogs the ball, shoots ever chance he can, and sucks at it.
I mean let's face it, he used his male strength to prevent her from take the mic which she grabbed, but using his left hand/arm to push her arm down. Bit aggressive given the setting etc.

@drafterman
tbh I'm use to and expect politicians to lie, I mean how can you not be? it just boils down to their skill at it. Imo they didn't need to use what you see in the video as an excuse for the ban. I'm not sure why they even went there other than to make Acosta look bad/worse than usual and perhaps gain some sympathy. Acosta knows/knew the job of that intern, so he's a dick for many reasons and on many levels. To that end there should be several microphones which have a kill switch. They should have left him holding a deactivated mic and given an active one to someone else, issue solved.
Created:

@Plisken
you can change the playback speed on files then save them, it's not complicated at all, even if it was sped up I don't see how that's relevant in anyway way, Acosta has gotten more leeway than he deserves for a very long time, he pushed her arm away, doesn't matter what video you watch, that's what happened, she was trying to get the microphone from him, she seemed to be in a hurry so not sure what exactly her job is/was, but no matter what speed you watch the video at, what happened happened.
here watch it in slow-mo

@1harderthanyouthink
doctored how? zooming in and looping is done all the time, can't be considered doctored, there was nothing added, removed or faked from watching the original and the zoomed. I was actually watching when it happened and there's nothing 'doctored" unless you are seeing something different, if so a link is really needed.

when he walked away from the podium, I would have kept walking and said sorry folks this is over and you can thank him for it, and left. He's doing THEM a favor talking as long and often as he does, they sure as hell are doing Trump any favors. why these mics don't have a remote cut off switch i'll never understand.

atm Supa's reaction, over reaction seems to be a tell more than genuine, but that's more a lean than position for me as I'm not firm on that opinion, Budda is slick but that doesn't mean he's not being truthful. Of the 2 Supa has taken a very firm position where as Budda is mainly probing and on a reaction finding mission, which seems to be successful for him so far, to what end, well that's what we need to determine I guess.

how do you raise standard of living to those who don't even have water? while you try to remedy that situation they will continue to have children they can't support as well as the area that can't support the current population. Is it possible to raise the standard of living fast enough to outpace their birth rate? Realistically, I don't think so. Both population control and raising the standard need to be done at the same time, otherwise you are just chasing your tail.

I've posted so much on this topic on 2 other sites that I just can't go there yet again. It's all been said before, there's nothing new I'm not sure why he keeps bringing up these old, tired ideas. If anything resurrect the old threads or provide the links from ddo and the island so we don't have to relook up the same old stuff. Guns is one thing I like arguing about, but until there's something knew I don't wish to beat that dead horse any more. That doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't examine the multitude of facts and arguments that have already been made, but I can't imagine too many are interested in re-inventing the wheel.

I basically agree with what you said. There was no real definition or starting point on the subject. Water is a great example in it's importance and in some places scarcity of potable water. So then i will go back to what I said before because your example really bolsters population control due to the limited resource, water.

@Tyrone
You're asking the wrong question. Why shouldn't people be allowed to own AR-15s? Freedom should be our default position; the government needs a definitive reason to impose restrictions on our freedom. And no, "the costs outweigh the benefits" isn't a sufficient reason because that could be used to ban a lot of stuff we'd never want banned. Swimming pools arguably cause far more suffering than happiness. The same could be said of alcohol, fast food, motorcycles, and much more. There needs to be a higher standard for government intervention than pure cost/benefit analysis.
best argument ever, end of thread.

(should we burn the place where the vampires had their coffins? I don't know if we get lucky and they have to flee that they would return there to heal, I'd like to leave them no place to return to)

given the physical comparison of urinals to toilets, urinals must be much cheaper to make and maintain, so at the very least a separate room for those would make sense. i'd have to be pretty desperate to use a public toilet.

people are born into poverty and also escape it, but how and why are they able to do that when others can't? In the U.S. poverty doesn't have to be a permanent state otherwise there wouldn't be the success stories we hear about. There's numerous legal immigrants coming to the U.S. with nothing, working hard, starting a business, supporting their family and their children continue the success often going to college and doing well. There is no solution to poverty if people don't have the drive to not be poor. Entitlements and society has made being poor comfortable, no big deal. Without work ethic and self worth they are doomed to live that life. The family traits seen in other cultures help their children and generations to be successful. Asians and Indians out preform all others even when they start out with absolutely nothing. They have solved the problem for poverty for their own and others can as well, if they choose to.
