why do people need an AR15?
-->
@Outplayz
the democrats have been anti gun, generally speaking for a while now, at least as far back as Bill Clinton, and if guns is your make or break issue the proof seems to be in the sales, or lack of.  I'm not saying people should be one issue voting but if you are then the stats seem to speak for themselves.  The B.S. ban was studied and discontinued because they couldn't determine if it made any difference or not.  Now if you put in the democratic bans on cosmetic features and other things that are mostly irrelevant in any practical sense, they are anti 2a, which fmpov is anti constitution.  Picking and choosing the parts you like and tossing out the rest is fine if you are having dinner, but not when it comes to rights.  There is no "needs" test and there shouldn't be for obvious reasons.  I do participate in these silly "needs" threads but the reality is they are arguing from a potion of ignorance.  That's not all that different than the elected officials who stand up in front of cameras and make such stupidly wrong claims, like ghost gun, and it shoots 30 clips in half a second blah blah blah, the sheep need to be culled, but that's a different thread.

I expect copy and paste from ddo.org soon, there's really nothing new on the gun issue, it's a constant rehash of the same stuff, hottest time was during Obama, health care is his other hot topic :)

for all the hot air and pandering, little to nothing has been done for mental health, appropriate punishment and enforcement for things relating to this issue.  they've tried nothing and they are all out of ideas.

so if you are anti gun, vote Republican

Yes, only those that can be trusted should know of our plan, even then they should know as little as possible.

(guess we wait to get a consensus on the coffin shop, wagon and inn, probably some other stuff will come up as well)

Very well, you should make contact with as many as you can, who will defend this place, the time is drawing near, we need to prepare.

(ok guys here's a possible plan they are going to try imo, creature in the wagon gets loose, in the commotion the vampires attack as whatever guards will be dealing with whatever that thing is, or am I being paranoid?  should we sabotage the wagon wheels?  or somehow prevent it from getting to the festival?  kids play with matches.....sometimes things get caught on fire......)

(group huddle, we should check the Inn and see if they may have tried to rent a room there, how can we make a counter ambush on their planned attack?  buckets of holy water over the doors is always fun.  they need a resting place, should we torch the coffin maker shop?)

It maybe a decoy to throw us off their trail and plans.  The only real threat to their take over is right here.  This was their initial plan from the beginning and I see no reason why that would change.  Perhaps the only change is the time.  We shall have to ponder if they still are planning to attack during the festival or sooner.

(we could check on the priest and bones, tell him the situation and see if he might have an idea where the vampires could be hiding out until it's time for their attack?)(maybe Snerp can locate the woman he spoke to when they were collecting the sticks, the first time he was here, I think she knew about  Ireena)

@FaustianJustice
I've never tried to shoot one, but was showing the lack of understanding about guns many show.  They would demonize the ar-15 when there are many variants and alternatives in .223 and 5.56 which again most won't even know the similarities and differences.  As you know, all rifles rated for 5.56 can shoot .223 but a rifle chambers/rated for .223 only shouldn't shoot 5.56.  My bet would be most of those who make the anti argument won't have any idea of what I'm talking about.  What I find is, it's the same people making the same arguments from the same position of ignorance.

(I prefer the indirect approach, but since Snerp has talked with him before.....we can tell him what we found at the coffin makers (body, writing) but not mention the vampires yet, though if they are after him, enemy of my enemy is my friend....I'm just not sure how much we can trust this guy)

(with my natural distrust I will attempt to use my perception and if anyone has a spell that enhances skills this would be a good time for that as well)

my guess is the pesky constitution which prohibits that very behavior by the government to thwart the rights contained in it, otherwise the constitution would be totally meaningless/powerless, right?

@linate
you can now (thanks to Trump) get an ar for under $400, there's much less demand for them compared to when Obama sold guns.  The cost per round, again has dropped to around 28 cents per round, about the same cost as a 9mm.  Lots of after market parts and taticacool stuff you can put on them.  Very easy to take apart and clean or replace parts, after market parts etc.  They are easy to shoot, shoot far, flat and straight.

what's a regular gun?  deer hunting rifle like a 30-06?  12 g shot gun with slug barrel?

after watching and reading much, my current opinion is any round 380 or larger is effective, the smaller calibers have reliability issues, but most people even when shot with a .22 will be stopped,  Ronald Reagan was shot with a .22 if I remember correctly.

as far as people shooting other people, the % is very small according to fbi stats, handguns are the preferred weapon of choice.

there's also a .223 caliber pistol, same round as ar-15 but classified as a pistol, but that must be really difficult to shoot I would think.

look up some ballistics comparison of an ar-15 vs ar-10

is the ruger mini-14 a "regular gun"?

While I don't know if it's true.  When the .223/5.56 nato round came out the "theory" was that you wanted to take a soldier out of the fight but not kill him, because for every one you take out, it takes 2 or more to take care of him.  Basically taking at least 3 out of the fight instead of just 1 by killing him.  The majority of other countries use the ak 47 essentially a .308, much bigger round that kills more often than wounds.  I can see this argument if you look at the ballistic comparison, but again even a .22 will kill so....

EGADS!  I hope the dems take over so the gun manufacturers can start making profits again, sheesh, no demand for this stuff anymore wtf?

Hmm interesting argument , though I maintain that means no one can take your life legaly.  people don't have a right to food and water which we all need to live , so I would say we don't have a right to life,  but rather that others do not have a right to take a life.

do you understand the difference between right to live, vs you don't have the right to take a life?  serious question, because there is a distinct difference.  No one has a right to take a life, I think we would agree on that.  But that doesn't prove a "right to life"  How do you define a right to life anyway?

so what's the plan, what's next?  vampires?  let's make some best laid plans of mice and men.

we should go at dawn, get hammers etc from the shop, open windows, maybe even holes in the walls etc to let in as much light as possible, even though the chronic fog blocks a lot of it out.
