They go against nature
So do automobiles. Who cares?
are unstable and unpredictable
So is the NVDA's stock. Who cares?
influence impressionable young minds to do sick and twisted things to their bodies with HRT and Gender Affirming surgeries
There is a doctor requirement to get your dick cut off at an early age and if the doctors and parents and the kid agree to do it, then it's parental rights. HRT is reversable and a logical extension of liberty and small government and free market capitalism.
They invade safe spaces of children and adults who are disgusted by them
And what do they do? Read books to the kids? I mean, there was this GOP politician that have called teen girls ripe and fertile and worthy to marry. That's got to be more grooming than reading a book to kids in some weird makeup. This doesn't mean we hate all GOP politicians because one of them is a pedo.
threats of punishment if we don't bend over and take it by all the mad hatter Ts.
What punishment and what do you mean by, "bend over and take it all"?

Tank uses 100 times more fuel than a car, and jet plane uses even more during flight.
If you need to strap hundreds of nuclear powered batteries to an engine, then so be it.
The batteries needed to power them would take days to charge, and would have to be much larger than the ones currently used in cars. Their range would be much shorter than the ones which run on fuel. So a military electric plane would fly for few hours and then charge for 2 days
Maybe there can be several electric sockets to charge the plane faster.
It's better to not have war/militaries to begin with.
Current supplies of useful uranium will run out in 200 years under current consumption, but if everyone switched to nuclear, they would run out in 20 to 40 years. Now, there are some theories about converting useless type of uranium to useful, but those are just theories. Most theories which sound too good to be true usually are false.
Where is your source for this information? Mine is Chat GPT. Here is GPT's response:
If nuclear power were used to meet 100% of the world's energy needs, the available supply would depend on several factors, including the quantity of uranium and thorium resources, technological advancements, and the efficiency of nuclear power plants.Uranium and Thorium Resources
- Uranium: Current estimates indicate that there are about 6.1 million tonnes of identified recoverable uranium resources. Additionally, unconventional resources, such as uranium in seawater, could increase the supply significantly. Techniques to extract uranium from seawater are being developed, which could provide a virtually unlimited supply of uranium. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), these resources could sustain nuclear power for centuries at current consumption rates (‘A Turning Point’: First Ever Nuclear Energy Summit Concludes in Brussels | IAEA) (Nuclear Energy - Our World in Data).
- Thorium: Thorium is another potential nuclear fuel with greater abundance than uranium. Estimates suggest that there are about 6.2 million tonnes of thorium resources globally. Thorium reactors are still in the experimental stage, but they promise to be a significant future energy source due to thorium’s abundance and potential efficiency (In focus: EU nuclear energy policy – why it matters to us all - European Commission (europa.eu)).
Technological AdvancementsAdvancements in nuclear technology, such as breeder reactors and small modular reactors (SMRs), can greatly extend the supply of nuclear fuel:
- Breeder Reactors: These reactors generate more fissile material than they consume, effectively multiplying the energy potential of nuclear fuel. With breeder technology, the existing uranium and thorium resources could last much longer, potentially providing thousands of years of energy (Nuclear Power in a Clean Energy System – Analysis - IEA).
- Small Modular Reactors (SMRs): SMRs are designed to be more efficient and flexible than traditional large reactors, potentially improving the overall efficiency and reducing the amount of fuel needed (In focus: EU nuclear energy policy – why it matters to us all - European Commission (europa.eu)).
Energy Demand and Supply CalculationsTo estimate the potential supply of nuclear power, let’s consider the following:
- Global Energy Consumption: The world consumed about 173,000 terawatt-hours (TWh) of energy in 2019 (Nuclear - IEA).
- Nuclear Energy Efficiency: Modern nuclear reactors are quite efficient. Assuming an average efficiency of 33% for thermal reactors, converting thermal energy to electrical energy means more uranium or thorium would be required to meet global energy needs.
Using these assumptions, let's perform a simplified calculation:
- Annual Uranium Needs: To meet the global energy demand of 173,000 TWh using current nuclear technology, approximately 7,000 tonnes of uranium per year would be required (based on current consumption rates).
- Resource Lifespan: With 6.1 million tonnes of uranium, the supply could theoretically last around 871 years (6.1 million tonnes / 7,000 tonnes per year) if used in current reactors. With breeder reactors, this lifespan could be extended by several factors, potentially reaching tens of thousands of years (‘A Turning Point’: First Ever Nuclear Energy Summit Concludes in Brussels | IAEA) (Nuclear Power in a Clean Energy System – Analysis - IEA).
ConclusionIf nuclear power were to supply 100% of the world's energy needs, current uranium resources could last for several centuries with existing technology and for many thousands of years with breeder and thorium reactor technologies. This makes nuclear power a highly viable long-term energy source, provided that technological advancements continue and safety and waste management concerns are addressed.

I can argue based on a specific issue regardless.
Alright; if you are an independent, then if you can't find a good reason to support kicking people out and creating single motherhood over victimless crimes, then oppose the idea.

How about the Goodyear blimp in the sky, is that a sign from God?
Because we know the makers of Goodyear are human beings.

There is no way to make use of a tank which has to charge for 10 hours so that it can drive 2 hours
Future technology might disagree with this.
In fact, nuclear energy right now is in insignificant amount in electricity production.
Nuclear energy makes up 20% of the US energy supply.
I don't know what your alternative is to expanding nuclear energy.
Some sources say 200 years under current consumption.
Chat GPT is giving me tens of thousands of years.

Yep, I think you nailed it, the age-old debate as to whether religion is a plane engine has finally been resolved.
I didn't say religion was a plane engine. I'm saying a plane engine can make messages in the sky from the exhaust, but that shouldn't count as a sign from god.

You are presenting an argument by anecdote.
Would you rather live?
- Norway
- South Sudan
Because one of these places is really religious. The other place you would prefer to live.
Prayer didn't really help out the South Sudanese.
You can counter with:
Would you rather live?
- USA
- East Germany
And pick the USA. But then did prayer save the USA? No. If it did, then why didn't it also save South Sudan?
Pray if you want to, pray if you need to cope with something. Just don't expect it to go anywhere. I've prayed; I didn't get what I want. I merely "prayed" just to cope not actually believing in God and I got what I want. It's possible for the reverse to be true, but praying makes no difference except to your emotions.

But airplanes and tanks and missiles and transport vehicles dont, nor they can.
They can be electric, which would in turn be nuclear powered if every vehicle is electric.
It happened in Japan few decades ago. Any time where there is an earthquake, a flood or hurricane, you risk disaster.
This is not Japan; this is America. You can't grow oranges in Alaska due to the environment, but Alaskans can still get oranges from trade.
But nuclear energy isnt infinite either
The supply of nuclear energy materials is millions of years from what I read. It's as good as forever.

You assert that religion is not a plane engine, but the Burden of Proof is on you, what evidence do you have that it isn't a plane engine?
Proof by contradiction. Lets say it was a plane engine. it would give off smoke that wouldn't last for days and would quickly assimilate into the atmosphere. It also would be drawn out very slowly as opposed to instantaneous.

Ancient societies would have considered a lunar eclipse a sign; we just know what it is in advance.
I find it very odd that all ancient people were given signs, such as a talking cloud God, and Jesus raising from dead
Imagine you had no idea what science was and you were living thousands of years ago. It's cold. You pray to a God that it warms up. Spring time comes around and it warms up. You are going to be very religious in that situation.
As science has expanded, the influence of religion has decreased. There is a reason most American scientists are atheists despite most Americans not being atheists.

Its mass use would be dangerous, since any accident means the area cant be used for decades.
Nuclear accidents are pretty much ancient history; they are regulated enough to where that's not plausible.
Plus, military, modern military, runs on oil, not nuclear energy.
I don't think that's true. Aircraft carriers use nuclear energy.

You cannot "make" more fuel out of nothing, and when resources such as fuel are finite and you cannot make more of them, using more of them means you will run out of them faster.
There is nuclear energy which the free market is developing. But we got 80 years of gas left (so 80 years to get electric cars and nuclear energy); we will be fine.

Some time later today, the sun will set and the sun will rise tomorrow. One of 2 things will happen tomorrow:
- There will be hundreds of iterations of, "The X religion is the one true religion" (X being something like Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, etc.) in changing colors so we know it's not a plane engine.
- There will be no hundreds of iterations of that sort in the sky.
I will convert to whatever happens to be the result tomorrow if you agree to do the same in advance. If situation 2 happens, then atheism is the assumed winner.

I might want to add another section so that politics is less packed. Maybe something like World Events to cover the Middle East.
So break up the politics section to cover current events? Maybe create a current events topic where people go to support the current thing for their party?

If each person ate 1 chocolate every day, they would be able to survive for 10 days. Thats planned economy. Now lets apply capitalist market to this example.Because capitalists are competing with each other to sell to customers, and some customers want 2 or 3 chocolates a day, it follows that chocolates are depleted much faster due to customer's and capitalist's greed.
The communist eventually runs out of chocolate. The capitalist tries to make more chocolate so people can have as much chocolate as they want (with the profit motive as incentive to work hard enough to produce chocolate).

but I think it's useful to divide the forum into different topics.
If that's the approach, then why not every political issue, make a separate topic for them. I want consistency; either have all the issues be separate topics or have all the issues the slightest bit political be in the politics section. It wouldn't make sense to give some issues their own topic and not others.

-> Like, what makes conservatism = good and leftism = bad that justifies banning all future immigration?I couldn't say.
Maybe then it makes sense to at least unofficially leave the republican party then if you don't know why they are superior to the democrats. I'm not saying become a democrat, but if you don't know why the GOP is superior, then maybe be an independent. You can be right wing on abortion if you believe it's murder, but one right wing belief shouldn't mean you are right wing on every issue because that would not be being a free thinker.
In general terms of banning immigration or forbidding non citizens to become citizens, I'd have to know the basis for such a prohibition.
There is no good reason to ban immigration or forbidding non citizens to become citizens and there is no good reason for green cards or Citizenship to be barred from undocumented immigrants and ICE should be abolished due to it's pointlessness (ICE isn't racist, but the organization is pointless and helps nobody out).

Some people want to get married for religious reasons. Although I think if you are an atheist, then there is no point in you getting married by the church. I would sign a customized marriage that indicates that me and my wife are sexually exclusive to each other unless she and I are fine with me being polygamous. I would not be fine with her being polygamous because that is my preference; but if she imposes the same on me, then that's fine; but it's not guaranteed.

Oh wait, you mean on DART.
Correct.
Not clear how that's inherently political, since there are left-wing Christians and right-wing atheists.
Which party references the bible more, the democrats or the republicans? The republicans do. Religion is as political as COVID vaccienes; you can find many vaccinated republicans, but being pro vacciene is generally viewed as a left wing thing. If I want to talk about the COVID vaccienes, then I go to the politics section. Right wing atheists are usually a different type of right wing; libertarian. Virtually no atheist agrees with Evangicals on homosexuality legalization.
Maybe you can just break up politics into all of the political issues; it would make sense given that politics has a lot of posts; more than any other category.
Weight correlates with height, but they are two different concepts.
But "Size" can encompass them both.
Supply and demand curves existing, for example, is pretty much agreed on.
If everyone agrees, then there is no debate, meaning it doesn't belong on DebateArt.
The Economics debate is usually socialism/capitalism.

Why not "polygamy because Mohamed did it and he was based like the confederacy"?
Whether or not Islam has a law has no causation with whether or not the west should accept the law. Islam caps it at 4 wives; I think the limit should be unlimited if all parties consent. Islam doesn't let women marry multiple men; I think women should be allowed to marry multiple men at the same time.
I'm libertarian on the issue; not Shriah.

Religion is political (Atheism vs Christainty) and economics is political (socialism vs capitalism). Atheism and socialism are left wing ideas, Christainity and Capitalism are right wing ideas.
Having there be an economics section is like having there be an abortion section (ANAL vs PAL) or an LGBT section (Pro LGBT vs pro straight within the overton window).
It's all merged into politics.

Some people: End all immigration to the US because we don't need more democrat voters coming in here.
Me: What's the worst that could happen? So what if the person in the Governor's mansion in Arizona has a D next to their name. The Whigs went extinct; the federalists went extinct, the democrat-republican party went extinct. If the Democrats win every governor's seat in the country (or at least 80% of them) and if democrats win 80% of the states due to immigrants coming here and voting overwhelmingly blue, then so what? A new party will inevitably replace the republicans. We've had FDR and Reagan win pretty big victories.
Life goes on and the party affiliation can matter for why you would vote for someone, but I don't think it's a good reason to exclude someone from the country simply because they are more likely to vote for a different party that you are. If you want them to vote red, then convince them too (but understand that they may also convince you to vote blue as well).
Like, what is the point in voting republican? To give more tax cuts to the globalists? If you aren't a globalist, then why do you care what the tax rate for globalists is? Wouldn't you care more about your kid being in a well funded school (only possible by taxing the globalists more)?
