@RationalMadman
Perhaps you were correct all along, I have switched to Fire Fox.

We were debating school uniforms, we were put into groups of two, my teammate when questioned on the bullying that would occur as a result of poor children not washing their uniforms, stated that poor kids are ugly and would just hang out with other smelly poor children, and therefore it's not a problem. Funnily enough we wound up winning all 3 major debates that year in middle school.

How does it feel to have power? Can you shoot lasers out of your eyes now or something?

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Bsh1
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword
His truth is marching on, His truth is marching
Glory, glory, Hallelujah! Glory, glory, Hallelujah!
Glory, glory, Hallelujah! His truth is marching on
I have seen Him in the watch fires of a hundred circling camps
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps
His day is marching on
Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
In the beauty of the lilies, Bsh was born across the sea
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me
As He died to make men civil, let us live to make men free
While Bsh is marching on
Glory, glory, Hallelujah! Glory, glory, Hallelujah!
Glory, glory, Hallelujah! His truth is marching on!
His truth is marching on! And on and on and on and on and on
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQhyWv-PeVE For some reason the singer says god instead of Bsh although they can easily be mixed up.

@Dynasty
That doesn't mean Atheism and Anti Theism aren't sound positions. If it weren't for theism we would have 7% less war, many things theists have done like the crusades weren't wars but killed 6,000,000 people. Religious wars are incredibly bloody, the French war of Religion killed 4,000,000.
Created:
Posted in:

@Dynasty
First, only about 7% of wars were religious. And second, atheists have killed 94 million people.
Anti theism is still sound, 195.035 million people have been killed in the name of religion. Also, I don't quite know if you can say those atheists killed those people because they were radicalized by atheist beliefs.

@Dynasty
I'm an Atheist. Frankly I fail to see how hard Atheism and Anti Theism aren't sound positions(If my assumption of what a hard Atheist is happens to be correct). The bulk of the scientific community agrees with Atheism, a valid appeal to authority. How is anti theism dumb? Millions have been killed in the name of religion, as a result of religious dogmatism homosexuals, women, and other religious people have been unrightfully oppressed or killed.

Wouldn't this just leave poorer people who regularly purchase junk food with 2 expensive options. I'd presume people who are in poverty purchase junk food because it is financially convenient, not because they want to. I found a paper saying a tax on unhealthy food merely reduced the consumption of said food by 3.4%.
I'd say I probably agree with you that testing for drugs would make things cheaper, I've even heard some hospitals had to hire "lifting teams" to carry obese patients, these crews can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per hospital, and all at the expense of the taxpayer.
Created:

@bmdrocks21
They will do random drug tests and if you are found to be using any illegal substance, you lose all privileges.
Basically agree with all the other points you made other than the junk food tax which I'm not very knowledgeable about. But why this as a action you'd like to take if America adopted free healthcare.
I've heard arguments for these mass drug testing efforts for people on welfare, it appears quite to be quite expensive. about $40 dollars to test for drugs like marijuana.

I believe America is in a situation where whether they move to privatize or government subsidize healthcare, it will make things better. One thing that baffles me is the massive range as to what universal healthcare will cost America. I've heard numbers like 18 trillion and numbers like 1.8 trillion. Obviously 1.8 trillion is very low but I'd like a better idea of it's cost. Government subsidized health care seems too expensive. If America made it's health care expenditures merely 6,000 dollars per person, and with a population of 329 million that's 1.9 trillion dollars in spending. With only 140.5 million America taxpayers that's 23 thousand dollars added to the taxes of the American taxpayer. So healthcare would become more expensive seeing how American healthcare expenditures are 10,000 dollars per person annually.

That record deficit Harper recorded was during an economic recession, he recovered incredibly quickly while the liberals running Ontario took several years to get the deficit below 11 digits.
Doug didn't cut spending, he slowed the growth of spending and cut taxes, a poor move on his part, he should have opted to cut spending and taxes.
Doug inherited a 15 billion dollar deficit BTW and got that down to 7.4 billion.
Conservatives net the lowest average deficits for the province as well.

@bmdrocks21
People need those government handouts. But really I highly doubt Americans will change their tune on how the government ought to spend it's money anytime soon, so I think your stuck with unfrugal teenage girl spending habits for now. Conservatives in Canada know how to balance a budget though.

@HistoryBuff
Have you seen what ontario's conservative government has been doing? They significantly increased the deficit. No matter who won, reducing the deficit was unlikely.
Doug Ford hasn't run high deficits, it's supposed to be 7.4 billion added to the debt this year and it was 6.6 billion last year for Ontario.
The former liberal government averaged much higher deficits, 13.08 billion, some years even upwards of 20 billion.
Also our former conservative PM in Canada had a few bad years but basically ran no deficit in his last years, maybe sheer wouldn't do as well as harper but still.
Lol, your petty $10 billion deficit.Try our $1 trillion deficit on for size
It's so crazy how unfrugal America is, Trump has been, and will be worse than Obama on that front even. You guys ought to cut your spending.

YEAAAAaaaahhh. No I ain't happy but it's to be expected, a massive plurality of people favour liberals in Canada, if the conservative and liberal candidates are equally good the Liberals will win. Liberals win so much that they've earned the title "the natural governing party." The Conservatives even gained 23 seats out of 338 though, so that's cool.

FF and Chrome really seem like the new meta, seeing how I only tried FF for like 5 days, I'm going to come back to it in the near future. Thanks for this conversation.

Firefox truly intrigues me I must say, to the point where some people I know switched to Firefox from IE, it just seemed clunky to me, YouTube felt slower and I prefer IE's layout because it is much less crowded and the search bar is nicer. As of now Edge is my substitute if a particular site isn't compatible, I may attempt to replace edge with Fire Fox though as my substitute, and who knows, maybe I'll replace IE with Fire fox one day.

Rational Madman-Already justified the decision previously.
Oromagi-Oro has claimed the #1 spot on the debating leaderboards, an accomplishment only a small sum of users can claim to have achieved. Not only this, but he is undefeated after a staggering 41 debates. He opts to debate risky fringe topics regularly as well, diversifying intellectual exchanges that take place on Debate Art. His contributions to the sites through voting should not be ignored. Well over 100 votes is nothing to sneeze at, he maintains a proficient vote quality as well. He conducts himself well and acts as a solid role model and representative of the website. As a result, Oro is one of the few users to earn my vote.

Ramshutu
His contributions to the sites moderation musn't be neglected, although it's not the main reason for my choice. He is an undefeated debater with the exception of 1 rap battle debate debate, never afraid to debate many different topics. He stays active and brings on a professionalism that further legitimizes this site as a sanctuary for well mannered productive conversations. He trounces all other users for total votes by far. His assistance on the Kritique guide was also cool.
Rational Madman
RM is possibly the most active user on the website, and one of the small sum of people to top the leaderboards at some point. He is undeniably the debater most willing to debate numerous and unfamiliar topics. He creates plenty of higher quality votes and some astounding activity on the forums. To continue, he has far more debates than any other debater while again being the one and only debater to gather all of the medals.
Ragnar
Ragnar is a very well rounded user, he holds the 2nd most amount of votes that are consistently useful to both debaters, he maintains incredible conduct toward his opponents. His debating and Kritique guide further implore me to place him on my small list of nominations, they've been vital in improving the debate quality on the website. He is one of the most impressive debaters on the website, being undefeated in 22 debates currently, his commitment to debating and abstaining from forfeitures is again stupendous. His forum topics are few but maintain incredible quality that assist in the forums environment and discussions. A debater I respect a ton.

I don't really want to get into a prolonged argument over this, plus this has gotten very off topic. You seem to be pointing the problems with the moderation as a whole(a problem I don't believe to be real).
Created:

@RationalMadman
assuming what you stated was accurate, why rattle up these people, whether they can recognize the flawed moderation or not, as you admitted it won't sit well with most debaters.

@RationalMadman
Virt shouldn't fire Ram IMO, both contribute a ton to vote modding. I haven't seen Virt becoming very inactive either, he still addresses a lot of debates. Also, why fire Ram, assuming Virt has been much less active, firing Ram won't sit well with most debaters(including me). This won't necessarily fix the problem either, if Virt is very busy he'll just have more votes to mod. Both are still active enough as well.

Tucker is very cool, I think he's far more genuine than most other news anchors. His debates with Cenk Uygur did a lot for me in particular.
Kyle is a guy I used to watch when I saw a video of his talking about religion, haven't watched him in ages though.
